Thank you for making this. This is once again a reminder, that for being a good musician it is often the sensible thing to recreate someone elses song to expand on ones ability, and that that's nothing to be ashamed of. I am way too often terrified to reproduce someone elses song and upload it as a remix (mostly because a certain pony musician threatened to take down one of my songs for that reason).
well ideally you should ask their permission first; i got the midi and vocal stems back when he gave everyone permissionsl; some people might still get weird with me for calling it a remix as opposed to a remake, but its just cause I like the world "Remix" better than remake, and its just semantics; remakes are actually remixes i.imgur.com/iq97rJ7.png
sounds bloody great, I remember when this song first came out, and I was happy to see that people still remember these, and honestly..... this is a great remix m8!!
You always manage to make an already awesome track even better!! HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?! EVERY TIME?!?! You never overdo it, it's always perfect! Ok, gonna stop fangirling lol! Great job Aurelleah
Now you are on your way to being one of the big names in music, First, make your name, Second, make a tribute to a great. Third, remake your old work, and be kick ass awesome, which you are.
eeeyy! i seriously i need to start attending those live streams again. but anyway, this song has the right kind of beats that are to my liking and makes good music biking music.
Finally I found this channel again. Been out of the brony music loop for some time and for the life of me couldn't remember your name. So I did what any sane person would do and spent 3 hours clicking though youtube videos hopping that youtube would recommend one of your videos.
AUREELL!! When i saw that u remixed one of my favorite bronie songs i was too excited and i instantly clicked! And i liked the remix ❤ It would be great that u remix more songs of glaze or sliphstorm!
splendid aurelleah forgive my spelling hmmm I like to ust get up in the Moring and listen to this sort of stuff thank you for you work it is being admired
I know but the most of brony artista take at least one month to make and you take more time and "we" ( specially i) r not get used . AND if u could make more collab could be awesome ( always dream u making music with spectra or ponyphonic), Just a advice u decide. ;) thx for answer
I have speakers that have about 10 years but they are good quality so I can plainly hear the difference. If I take my headphones the sound gets even clearer.
He has done it again another great remix that sounds way better than the original nice job man 😀😋 Quick question do you by any chance listen to Jacob tillberg kinda feels reminiscent to some of his future house songs Just wondering😄
Pretty impressed that you managed to make the exact synths, its really well done, also yea I can totally hear the difference in mixing. Its like a 2017 version of the track that sounds cleaner c:
Ye :P WT does some stuff common to most his synths which is the mod osc in massive turned down an octave or two and affecting the phase and ring mod of some of his osc's
Yes, it is. Download the high quality flac and relisten. Spending time to compare specifically the parts with the supersaws especially. If you still cant hear it, you may want to see your doctor about hearing loss (Not joking/being sarcastic). The original is low-passed at 10khz which is about half the range of human hearing, so if you cant hear all the information above 10khz that's now there, it is indeed a bad thing.
It's also a different timbre and mixing for the synths, as well as for the drums. The drums are much heavier, have much more impact. The only thing this has in common with the original is the bass and the vocals (and even then the bass has much less mud in this). Overall the mix is cleaner, more balanced, less crushed and has less aliasing
I use a 100$ headset, but thanks for the tip. I did give it a relisten and I think I can see the difference. I guess I just have built some kind of expectation of remixes being a lot more different than this is to the original. That is usually how they tend to be. Thank you anyways ^^
Thats why the title says re-mix :P it's just a re-mixing of it; it just looks weird as hell to see "Aurelleah Remake", just doesnt fit. Though to be fair, while most remixes are indeed different, they dont need to be by necessity. Even things like extended mixes or radio edits are remixes. My remixes dont usually stray that far from the originals because I aim to build on others as opposed to just use their thing as a novelty. Thats what I did with Luna's Future (the composition is the same, same notes except for a few; some of them are reeeeeeaaaaaaaally quiet in the original though, same eveything. Just better mixing, better instruemnts, better effects, and with that one I doubled it up in length. It sounds a lot more different than the original because the original for that one was just so far off the mark because of being tuned for a TV show. in comparison, I cant even touch Midnight In Me because it was tuned for a movie, and works so well by itself. I did the same thing with The Magic Inside too. Rainbow Factory, Under Our Spell and Forever were all pretty big differences though, so its not the ONLY thing I do, I just really like doing it
I don't understand what's the point of reupdate the original song to other account. if you add the word "Remix" this is not mean that it's actual Remix.
You can also read the comments before posting to see if your issue has been brought up before (it has) and to see whether or not it's been addressed and explained (it has)
Mate, there are a lot of people who are musicians. It's not really a big deal as to what you call yourself. Either way, if you're going to grumble about content that's produced at no cost to you and that you don't have to listen to, you're pretty rude. Giving feedback is one thing. Quite a lot of people appreciate it. If you don't like the fact that somebody doesn't do something YOUR way, or to YOUR expectations, welcome to reality.
Also, I'd recommend you listen to the .flac download before judging the mixing, you should know if you're privy to production knowledge that youtube absolutely destroys the quality on music and removes a LOT of high end
Aurelleah sure! The drums are a bit too loud in the mix and there is also too much sidechain compression from the drums. The lead synth during the chorus gets really drowned out in the mix whenever the bass plays. The pizzicato strings that play during the vocal part of the chorus ("carrot top (pluck) go beyond us (pluck)... ect" are pretty much inaudible. Also I'm aware of how youtube destroys high end, but that's usually just a cutoff in the frequency spectrum from about 16kHz and above while leaving the rest intact. At parts, particularly in the drops, the crash cymbal can barely be heard. It sounds like there might an awful lot of over compression or too much limiting when you mastered this as well. But like I said, besides the mixing, I think you did a very swell job on this. The synths were re-created so well that it's super impressive.
A lot of the issues you present are barely present in a higher quality audio stream clyp.it/r344tde1 Lead synth during the chorus isnt a product of compression or anything, it's deliberate because I really wanted the supersaws to be the shining figure in the drop i.imgur.com/FlHDBG5.png same with the plucks. When i first heard the song, my favorite part of it was the supersaws, so I wanted to bring those out; pluck ideally would be just loud enough to add to it without distracting from the fastfire vocals afterwards because I wanted them to be a supporting element more than anything. Crashes are inaudible on youtube because theyre all in that high end youtube comrpession rolls off. (See: the clyp link) i.imgur.com/pQliG0Z.png And the track is only just touching the limiter with about 1db gain reduction on average in the higher parts. Looks like its just artistic choices as opposed to it being "wrong" in the way that atrocious would describe it/make it out to be, honestly. My earliest works had atrocious mixing (See: Forever)
you know, to come back in 2019 i still love hearing every version of this song
especially this version
Thank you, Aurelleah, for this weaponized piece of brony nostalgia ^^
Thank you for making this.

Well I did ask for permission, and I did get it, however the artist said, that my remix sounded too simmular to the original song.
For six years.....still awesome !!
Good job
sounds bloody great, I remember when this song first came out, and I was happy to see that people still remember these, and honestly..... this is a great remix m8!!
Love this! I haven't listened to the original for ages, I need to go back and find it.

Now you are on your way to being one of the big names in music,
First, make your name,
Second, make a tribute to a great.
Third, remake your old work, and be kick ass awesome, which you are.
This sounds softer than the original yet very beautiful. Keep on the good work, Aurelleah!

Have'nt been able to go to many streams lately but still great work!

Ooh, nice! c:
Ah, you didn't use the TLT and MTM version. Good. That helps, though I loved that version, to some that is all there is.
Nah, glaze all the way
lol good song friend ♡
you upgraded woodentoaster, one of my favorite producers in the fandom. how do you do these things
Is it bad that I cannot hear the difference between this and the original?
Yes, it is. Download the high quality flac and relisten. Spending time to compare specifically the parts with the supersaws especially. If you still cant hear it, you may want to see your doctor about hearing loss (Not joking/being sarcastic). Also, if you use earbuds or some other subpar listening device you might not hear the difference, but any >30$ pair of headphones will show it
I use a 100$ headset, but thanks for the tip.
I did give it a relisten and I think I can see the difference. I guess I just have built some kind of expectation of remixes being a lot more different than this is to the original. That is usually how they tend to be.

Daaaaamn

This is awesome but depressing; glaze doesn't make songs anymore ;-;

He signed under a label?
Nice!
nobody has commented in one year?
TBF I'm pretty sure i had this unlisted for a long time until i got a request to relist
Man this is old. Still a great song though.
25 seconds ago??!??!
I don't understand what's the point of reupdate the original song to other account. if you add the word "Remix" this is not mean that it's actual Remix.

love u 😍😍😍😎😋😊 you da best
Thank u 😁😁😁😁
Pls update me when u make new vids
I like this more than the original. The original had different rap voices that ruined the song to me.

I'd rather call it a remake than a remix tbh
A remake is a remix i.imgur.com/iq97rJ7.png
But that definition says to improve upon ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As backhanded as that comment is, I feel that not having the song lowpassed at like 14khz is an improvement.
oops. I forgot my headphones weren't plugged in and started the song at full volume at midnight. Good thing my family are heavy sleepers.
Steve is great
We All Love Steve Same
Honestly the mixing in this is atrocious but if you fix the mixing issues in this it has potential to sound even better than the original.
Thanks for your opinion on that. Care to demonstrate a better mix or point out where I could do better?
Also, I'd recommend you listen to the .flac download before judging the mixing, you should know if you're privy to production knowledge that youtube absolutely destroys the quality on music and removes a LOT of high end
