Making a hammer for my brothers father-in-law and had no idea how to do it. This was very helpful! Thanks!

I've actually never seen anyone turn a handle like this with the offsets. I never even thought of it. Thanks for the video

Thanks for watching. I like these better than round handles for hammers and mallets... You can buy handles really cheap at the hardware store, but this is more satisfying.

Very interesting. At first I thought what's off center about that but as you were showing the old handle it dawned on me that you can't turn an oval on centers. I never thought about that before now I know.

Glad you liked it Opa! You should give it a try... it will add lots of options to what you can do.
I created a playlst of my offset turning vids...

Some of these aren't so successful and some work out better than others, but they may give you ideas....
There are some good offset turning videos on you tube by turners that are much more skilled than I am. Check them out if you’re interested.

Oh, so it was you I saw using Danish oil on tools! I couldn't recall. Previously I thought it was David W, the plane maker.

It was good until you placed the wedge in wrong and split the handle like firewood.. you will be replacing this handle before long. Very common mistake.
