    In todays video I go out on early ice and target walleye on one of my favourite lakes here in Northeastern Ontario! It was amazing to be out on early ice again and catch a few nice fish! I was standing on around 5" of ice. Be safe out there!! Me and my good buddy Matt had the most luck jigging with the Frostbite scissor kick in purple colour and the Buckshot rattle spoon in green colour. Stay tuned for tons of ice fishing videos to come! Thanks, big moose beach boat launch and the south shore boat launch off of south shore rd are both locations you can park at. However, I do not think overnight parking is permitted at these locations. I am not aware of any locations you can park at overnight. Thanks for watching.

    What size walleye are you allowed to keep on that lake?

    • @KVGFishing
      @KVGFishing  8 месяцев назад

      You are not allowed to keep anything between 43-60cm. Meaning anything below 43cm and can only keep one above 60cm. This is the standard Walleye regs for FMZ 11. Thanks for watching!

    Is that just a hook and a minnow? Fairly new to ice fishing and wondering what to use on my first trip up to Callander Bay

    • @KVGFishing
      @KVGFishing  8 месяцев назад

      On my tipups I use only a hook and a minnow. In the video we had most luck using a green buckshot rattle spoon tipped with a minnow head and using the purple frostbite scissor kick with a minnow head. I usually like to have one rod (or tipup) with just a weight and minnow and another with a spoon or lure. Thanks for watching.

    Hey man! Fun local vids! I started fishing nosbosing recently and you seem to fish it a lot. Just wondering what your largest walleye from the lake was? Have you heard of any high 20s fish being caught or caught any yourself?

    • @KVGFishing
      @KVGFishing  8 месяцев назад

      Hello, Thanks! Yea, I usually fish Nosbonsing much more in the summer than I do in the winter. As usually I find it much tougher in the winter (this video is an exception). I have grown up fishing the lake my whole life and have seen multiple high 20's come out of the lake from family members. I have caught multiple fish in the 24-26 range but have yet to pass that. High 20's are super rare but are definitely in there though. Thanks for watching!

      @KVGFishing  8 месяцев назад +1

      Lol 🤣 Thanks Chris! Caught them more jigging, only got 1 on the tipup in the end after the camera died. Thanks for watching!
