i love the F&F videos where they are doing live gigs outside at the cafe and the cars are driving by. they sing and play as well as they do in the studio. proof positive of their talents. and, yeah, the guitar playing is off the charts.
Proven again with the live shows last month. Comments on the fan page , expectations were high and they were exceeded. Both the music and the time taken to interact with fans before and after the shows.
This phenomenal group of musicians has never performed anything that could be construed as less than excellent. They have a knack for elevating even those "terrible" songs that you never liked into something awesome!
They are 'sui generis'. There is nothing... nothing... that they do badly or marginally. All of their covers literally transport you back in time. The guitarists are amazing and their production and engineering are professional level. The Foxes and the Fossils voice blends are almost unlike any other on the web. Also... when they cover a song that I'm unfamiliar with, I end up loving their version. Chase doing 'Love is the Answer' will blow anyone away. ruclips.net/video/NWnIkIiVRPQ/видео.html Sammy's Neon Moon... is another. ruclips.net/video/07vOgR6oskA/видео.html I never heard of these songs until F&F covered them. Were lucky to have them.
Two from the early days that you have to listen to. Landslide and Our Lips are Sealed. The harmonies on these are incredible, but of course I could name 10 more must listen songs after that!
I came back and watched this again (never can get enough of F&F - or you reacting to them for that matter). The guitar solo, for some reason, made me think of Don Felder and Joe Walsh on Hotel California.
I love the fact you Love them they way I do.... my head shaking moment was when I heard them do Suite Judy...I was hooked and began telling and showing my buddies....and then the Boys with their Early Morning Rain rendition....I was born an hour from Gordon Lightfoot and it was a proud moment when I heard the Big Boy sing it so well!!! Thanks for your show....its very very good!!!
Tim posted a minute of concert vocal tracks from Southern Cross. When the girls come in its just SMH. In the documentary they're like "harmony is no big deal, that's the easy part for us " They nailed California Dreamin' live.
Not bad, haven't heard of that band before. I mean it's hard to compare it to The Mamas and the Papas, they were one of the best vocal groups in the history of modern music. And even tough the song was recorded in 1965, it still sounds awesome. You can't expect a cover to get to that level, but this group did really well. I really miss the flute solo, that was kinda cool.
You used the word “ anomaly”. The thing in my view that sets them apart is that they are amateurs! Yes they played the scenes but the girls have other careers. They are amazing because of how they blend together as a group. There are groups that have played for years that will never have the kind of “lock” these guys do. Really shows the level of pure talent
I haven't seen your channel in quite a while... May I ask how your friend is doing? Please let him know a crazy pastor in NC keeps praying for him.✝️🙏💙🎄♾️
I love their version of Ventura highway that came out Not long ago. They did a comeback concert in Georgia in December which was the first time they have done a public appearance in about 6 years. I understand it was 28 songs! Check their channel as they are planning to do a pay-per-view sometime in the next month or so of the entire concert. Can't wait!
@@michaelmacnamara1100 The entire 28 song concert video will be streamed pay per view probably in early April. Mid March will be a ppv documentary of preparations for the shows, behind the scenes, fans interviewed at the shows etc.
You need to do a reaction to home free boys to men end of the road and when a man loves a woman also by home free. Their harmonies will blow you away . They are an a capella group. Their beat boxer is unbelievable. Helplessly Hopping also with their own spin but still awesome.
Revue who loves FF but where do I suggest a song from another artist that will make your jaw drop? (BTW I found you after my 23,749th listen of Suite Judy Blue Eyes) And have you reviewed FF “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road?” Chills.
Thanks for the great acknowledgment of F&F - I agree, they are superior! (Seven Bridges Road?) but when you cut off the song (as we were all deeply into it) to give us your opinion, you just clobbered the magic. You are not them. Let us listen!

Fantastic cover of this classic. Love the harmonized guitars. Vocals just outstanding! Thanks Ed.

Thanks Ed for doing Another One!!!
Fantastic... absolutely!

Love the reactions, Mr. Unhinged. Thanks.
Thanks again for reacting to one of my guilty pleasures, F&F!.
I'd like to hear your reaction to foxes and fossils cover of "I call your name"....the lead singer nails it!
Foxes and Fossils: Excellence is the norm. As a fan, I'm spoiled beyond belief.
An excellent choice. I can remember requesting that they do this cover? 2 or 3 year ago.
As always, great reaction to a great song, covered by a great cover band.
Makes chills go over you and that my friends is magical.

My favorite band.

Totally agree, they really never disappoint! Just like you!
Thanks!
Just beautiful, sound a little like Mama'a and Papa's yet they make it there own! Awesome!!!
You picked a winner!

They do Dedicated to the One I Love, which is Over Top!!

Would like to hear your reaction to their Southern Cross cover. Their cover of Dedicated to the one I Love is another great M&P's cover.
And don't forget 'Monday Monday' from their very first performance.
Ed, you've got to get their renditition of Orleans, 'Dance With Me'. Another vocal harmony that doesn't disappoint.
Compliments from 3 members of Orleans in the comment section.
Fun one tonight 6:06 eastern. F&F live cover of "The Weight" by The Band (RIP Robbie Robertson) Scott King's little brother Ross on bass.
Stay tuned! 😉🤘
Another one by them I know you will enjoy F&F Q&A

Thanks for the suggestion!
Years ago I hadn't heard of Home Free when they did their first song on The Sing- Off. I said there's your winner right there!
Am I imagining it, or do their voices sound instantly pitch corrected?

RUclips Will block the videos if we do not pause them on occasion. Unfortunately it's how the music reaction game works. We'll take what we can get.
