- The best cover band from Atlanta is back with their rendition of The Band's "The Weight" in tribute to the late Robbie Robertson. The original song is filled with killer vocal harmonies, but that just happens to be Foxes and Fossils' secret weapon!

That bluesy girl is Chase Truran. Listen to her lead vocal on F&F's cover of Todd Rundgren's "Love is the Answer". I've listened to it countless times and it still blows me away. Every one of the Foxes can nail a lead vocal, yet they still have the humility and respect for each other when they back each other on harmonies. As do all the band members. One of the reasons this group is so special.
Great song, great cover. Been a F&F fan since day one!
That gal with the bluesy soulful voice has a Christmas show out that is awesome. I love this group. They're all so talented.
I'll have to check that out!
Her name is Chase

Chase Truran
I apologise for the omission of Turan!@@kktruran
Love this band. Discovered them during COVID. I cannot stop listening to them. Wish I could see them live. Thank you!
Chase can sing anything.
When Chase dropped in, I thought it was Mavis Staples
🙏❤️
Thanks for continuing to introduce us to these below the radar groups. Much appreciated.
Our pleasure!🤘
Those are giant footprints, specially with the The Last Waltz version with Pops and Mavis Stapels in mind, and that they certainly had in mind too. It's already hard to get the three voices of The Band covered, Levon, Richard and Rick had all so unique voices, on top of that getting Pops and Mavis covered is next to impossible. But they are getting close, certainly one of the better covers.
Wish I could have gone to that concert , someday maybe if I am lucky it will happen . Oh and the Bass player is Scott King's little brother Ross , Kind of a nice touch and I am sure Scott was with them in spirit !
☮️🤘
@UnhingedReactions you need to go down the rabbit hole yourself and listen to more of their cataloge!
I was lucky enough to have been their. They are the best. No pretense, no arrogance, no airs, just great music
Ed, Thanks for doing another F.F. !! Chase is Phenomenal! Hope you and Doug are well. I'm a little late on this one! So nice to see you doing "Natural" Reactions. So Many Fakes out there!!
Thanks as always for watching. We wish the same for you...see you on the next one. ☮️🤘
I know... RIGHT? Her name is Chase! Man! Did you ever check our the "Love is The Answer" cover she did. Always blows me away.
One of my favorite Fs&Fs covers ever. Chase's runs on that song are absolutely phenomenal.😮
Ms. Chase Truran. See her lead on Love is the Answer. More a cover of Todd Rundgren's original version than the England Dan J Ford Coley hit.
Hi Lyn, WOW! I have a lot of respect for Ed. What an Accolade for Chase! Ed has always had Genuine Reactions. Never ever heard him React so Wildly about a Vocalist!! Thanks Chase!!
@@jbach4311 Hard not to react wildly to her voice!!! Glad you enjoyed it!
btw, this is Ed... I'm logged in to my guitar channel 🙂
Thoroughly enjoyed this, and your reaction, take care.
Thank you so much 😁
If you have not heard F&F cover of "Early Morning Rain," give it a listen.
The amazing bluesy vocalist is Chase Truran. I'm sure we'll be hearing from her some more in the future.
A couple more to listen to from them: Amie (Pure Prairie League, live in a parking lot with a guest mandolin player), Love is the Answer (Todd Rundgren, Chase takes the lead), Crazy (Gnarls Barkley, Sammie in the lead), The Waiting (Tom Petty, Maggie in the lead), and The Things we do for Love (10cc, Tim in the lead). The ones they do in the studio, especially when Maggie or Sammie are singing remotely (as they live elsewhere now) show their genius in mixing as well, as the remote singers still harmonize perfectly as if they were in the room with them.
Note: Sammie has been back living in Atlanta since early 2020.
The guest mandolin player here is Brian Lewis, who is also on their live “Amie” video from 2017 and several other studio-recorded covers since 2020.
Also a song that Tim wrote,"The Road to Forever," is great!
Check out their most recent: "Tell Me Why" -Wynona Judd cover. It my newest favorite of theirs, and it really showcases Sammi's brilliant vocal talent.....
Epic selection, fantastic performance and very well-recorded. Plus, your analysis and all the special post-production touches inserted into the main action are both priceless and often quite hilarious. Well done, and keep up the good work. Although still worried 'bout the fate of Jack the Dog!!☺😆👍
Glad you enjoyed it

Thanks for this video... seeing you appreciating this helps inform my musically gnorant self💕🎶🎵🎧
Glad it was helpful!😎🤘
Chase has a wonderful voice. I would love to hear her sing "Piece of My Heart."
Ed, I know you and Doug are big CSN fans and have reacted to a few Foxes and Fossils cover videos of CSN. Watch for their upcoming July 17 studio cover of Wooden Ships. I saw it on their Patreon site and it is incredible as all of their work.
Will do, thanks!🤘
Great reaction. Great cover. I'm sure you've heard Daryl Hall and company do this song as a tribute to their band member T-Bone Wolk on Live From Daryl's House. If not, I think you'll love it.
I have not heard that! I'll have to check it out!
Take a listen to their version of Yellow Brick Road with Chase doing the lead
I first discovered this band not long after they posted up their cover of Suite: Judy Blue Eyes, and I was so impressed with that cover that I became an immediate fan. Tim (leader/lead singer) and his daughter Sammie (the really cute blonde) and Maggie (I believe that’s the girls name with the blues voice you like) are the original members from back then along with the other gentlemen. This was an awesome cover, and as always Ed, your review was spot on. All the way around a great job by all! If you haven’t already seen it, that organization/group called Play For Change does an ‘around the world’ version of this song, with musicians playing instruments and performing all at the same time from places all around the globe, and it stars Robbie Robertson! It doesn’t get any better than that. Check it out Ed.
I have seen Playing For Change's international version of this song. It's AMAZING! And I also became a fan of Foxes & Fossils through their Suite: Judy Blue Eyes cover, as seen on this channel! Like I said in the video, they never disappoint!
@@UnhingedReactions I think that video is where you, Doug and I really hit it off and our friendship kind of grew from there. You guys were seeing the video quite a few years after it had been posted, if I remember correctly, but it definitely brings you right back to Haight/Ashbury and flower children, etc. 😊 oh, and I went and looked at the Playing For Change version after I mentioned it to you, and I had forgotten that Ringo was in it too. He cracked me up at the beginning of it.
Chase Truran is the singer doing the solo. The original Foxes were Tim's daughter Sammie and her friend Maggie Adams, the cute short brunette. Chase joined the band later when Maggie went off to college. On the stage in the video when viewing left to right are Sammie, Maggie, and Chase. I became an instant fan when I found them during the lockdown when I was searching for covers of Suite Judy Blue Eyes like a lot of fans.

Just came across your channel and enjoyed some of your reactions! I have a couple band recomendations for you to check out. First to Eleven, a cover band out of Erie PA that has a lot of material on RUclips. They usually add a little twist to covers to make them their own. They have even taken some Pop or Country songs and made them rock. One of their most viewed covers at over 50 million is Sweet Child Of Mine but they have many to choose from. Three of thos band members are also in another band called Concrete Castles. This band produces original music and is very good. You might want to check them both out!
Chase sings lead on Blind Faith/Steve Winwoods Cant Find My Way Home 11/29 7pm eastern. (Foxes and Fossils)
I cantt wait until Leonid and friends gives us more cover songs by them. So awsome also
Shades of Cass Elliot ?
Ed - heres another one for you from Foxes and Fossils - this time they take on some Steely Dan - really well done - enjoy... ruclips.net/video/UiCYK-C35n4/видео.html
😳😁👏👍A gifted group of performers; instruments & vocals. Second to none.
