Very nice video. I feel sharpening as a topic is much like religion, sport teams or Chevy/Ford, the conversation can get heated... .your brave my friend. After watching far more sharpening videos than I'd care to admit, very well done. Good depth and explanation in simple terms unlike some who break out the protractors and trig calculations making seem far too complicated.
    Good job!
    Keep up the great content!

Thank you! So informative, I’m a novice and never really had a good explanation regarding that secondary bevel. Of course I’ve been doing wrong.😂

I'm hoping this is going to finally help me get my sloyd knife sharp. The dual bevels seems to be the thing that's catching me up.

They are Shapton Glass stones, pretty expensive premium water stones

@@yoman2854 -- I used a King 1000/6000 for years. 12 months ago, I switched to Shapton Glass. I wish I'd done it sooner.

terpazoid just go for it. Everyone screws up a mora. It’s how you learn. You can always fix it. Makes great practice

Stresses me out seeing fingers running up and down a razor sharp blade.

It’s an excellent sharpness tester. You’re only practically cutting through the epidermis and leaving the dermis alone.
