Live action Disney movies from the 50's and 60's are so underrated! They are some of the greatest movies of all time.
This movie’s main theme is unfairly underrated. It’s absolutely beautiful and mysterious, fits the vibe of the film perfectly.

Oh god, the music in this movie, it's so incredibly beautiful, especially the main theme, that alone is just so haunting, and majestic.

Saw this as a pre-teen in a movie theater in Baltimore way back in '69, back when curtains were raised in the theater before the feature was shown. I'm telling you, seeing it on the big screen is all the more fabulous.

I'm now starting to wonder how the movie would have gone if they managed to get Vincent Price to portray Professor Aranax.
Price would have been wonderful (as always), but Paul Lukas was just near perfection in the role!
I also wonder about that too, except with the role of Captain Nemo. James Mason is the perfect Captain Nemo, but I wonder what would it be like if Vincent Price got the part.
