“Just stop, get out, make ‘em move around you.” Fellow truck driver and truer words have never been spoken. It sucks but you gotta do it. The worst is that one asshole who sees you pulling off to the side with your hazards on and insists on waiting behind you despite waving them on and all the other clear signals of “hey I’m pulling over, go around me!”
I always tell the new guys, “We’ve got the big truck, we’ve got to back into THAT space, it’s gonna take a little time to do it, but we’ve got a job to do and everyone else is just gonna have to wait, whether they like it or not!”
Hey bro ! great video, brings back memories. I used to do this some twenty five years ago, and by far the best job in garbage industry. It saves your back from getting wrecked over time by the truck doing most all the work. Nice video, well done.
Always drove me crazy driving these, thats the tilt controls are opposite to that of a forklift or excavtor bucket. Normally, took me half a day or so to get back used to it. Typically, curl in is left, curl out is right.
great video, thanks. can you explain all the joystick movements. are they the same for heil and macneilus. also what's the noise your joystick is making
Here watching your videos because I’m bought to get a job doing the same thing question for you though is the job tedious n do you enjoy it once comfortable with your routes
Hello Wind and Wheels - I was just curious if you could please make more curotto can videos with your curotto can Garbage Truck that you Drive if possible - possibility. Thanks
Do you have a set number of dumpster that day that need to get done, no matter how long it takes, or set numbers of hours, and what gets done gets done??
check out the Quick Knob for the steering wheel. its made in NY and i've had mine for years. easy to change between vehicles as it attaches with a small ratchet instead of hardware
It’s always the same people who would over fill the garage can and then complain, the garage has to be on the level of the dumpster, if you put shit on top like that and it falls down well it’s on you
An under appreciated job duty that most will never know.
"surprised those legs can move that fast" comments is wild with the window down 💀
I just want to say they my hat's off to all the sanitation workers out there, you have my utmost respect.
It's like driving a really big forklift with airbrakes

Thanks you from France. :) We're only classic rear loading garbage trucks (with estherics curtains to hide blade), and very few asl garbage trucks.
😢

i accidentally watched half the video.. how did i get here
It’s fun to watch
The real question is, did you regret or enjoy it?
Ditto. I asked myself “why does he complain so much? Like he’s mad at the world” then I saw the New Jersey plate on the truck 😂
How do you "accidentally" watch half of the video? 😂😂
@@Doseofdrewpeople are aggravating in big towns or cities I don’t blame him
It's nice that you have a camera view of it dumping into the truck
Great POV, love these type of videos, keep it up :)
I was a front load driver before I went to my new job. I was with the waste industry for 10 years before that. I miss doing front load.
What a fast truck! I loved this POV! Thank you for sharing this! New Subscriber

I have a question so if you covering a route or what not how do you know where all the bins are?
Maaaan that truck is at least 15 years newer than the shitter I drive and I AM JEALOUS!
ASL drivers are Maverick, dumpster drivers are just the Goose!
Super nice POV. Been waiting for vids like this. Thanks!
I just wanted to know if there was a camera or weight sensors that the driver/operator sees?
It appears so.
Just asking for a friend.

Nice video. Just a question. Do you ever keep stuff you find that people throw away?
Damn.. rough af on that thing
Maintenance guys either love or hate him
Whats the most annually you've made driving frontload? And in what area?
Does grand hire with no experience? I’m in NJ been trying to get on but no response from them
How many cans you pick up on average?
New subscriber! Love these POV's!
Is that truck a manual transmission or automatic
Do you have a set number of dumpster that day that need to get done, no matter how long it takes, or set numbers of hours, and what gets done gets done??
Dumpsters and hours
DO YOU GET SNOW ...IF SO WHAT do you do if you can't roll a can because of snow on the ground in combination with weight of the can ??
Ever have a bin fall in the box?
does it smell inside the truck?
Seems like the forks controls are backwards for tilt back and forward.
Wow amazing 😮 👏
6:34 they need a ramp there.
Steering wheel spinners are illegal here in Canada. Your joystick is plumbed backwards, pulling it towards you should roll the forks in.
check out the Quick Knob for the steering wheel. its made in NY and i've had mine for years. easy to change between vehicles as it attaches with a small ratchet instead of hardware
how many stops is your biggest front load route?
How much do you make a week?
Thanks for taking out are trash brother!
Do you have a Class B CDL?
yes
information i did not need yet information i wanted and now i have its just like a tractor just 10x heavier
I do the same thing in New York..here every dumpster has to be accessible from inside the truck otherwise we don’t pick it up.
Does the truck automatically rev up for the hydraulics?
Yep!
Yes, it does.
The plastic dumpsters seem to be a royal pain to deal with
Your lucky that you get to wear blue jeans as a garbage truck driver
Cool pov
Bless you
love the vids!
I will never get over how old all the technoligy is in America.
It's like there has been no development whatsoever in the last 30isch years
How LMAO
the hell are you talking about
thank you mr. trashman
How are video this on your head
Couldn't hack it at rear load huh? (Coming from a guy that drove rear load)
I want this job
I switched from driving a front loader to roll-off after I got a homeless guy sleeping in dumpster almost squashed.
Praise God. God Bless in Jesus Christ Name Amen.
I used to do this.. job sucks
i think you alignment is off lol
Single handily making our communities more dirty. The garbage was in the bin, it fell out due to your incompetence. And you don’t pick it up??
It’s always the same people who would over fill the garage can and then complain, the garage has to be on the level of the dumpster, if you put shit on top like that and it falls down well it’s on you
If you care so damn much about the trash then you take your ass out there and pick it up.
