- with the dismal (non) launch of american horror story riviera orchard, i got curious about how meghan markle-- a relative nobody 10 years ago-- was able to successfully launch the tig, and why she hasn't been able to replicate that (minor) success in the decade since. well, turns out, much like every other "accomplishment" in meghan's life, there might be a man behind the curtain.

so this is a seriously crazy coincidence: I researched this video last week and filmed it a few days ago, not knowing that within the last 24 hours, Jake Rosenberg has been announced as the photographer for a series of portraits of Meghan and the kids! and she just so happened to reach out to him around the time of the American Horror Orchard's launch! well colour me shocked; guess he is still on speed dial after all.

Honestly if Meghan had come out with this idea first vs B***hing about the royal family it could really have been something. Meghan was popular. She could have had her Netflix Cooking show. She could have peddled her wares on Archetypes. Sent out ARO merch to celebrities she initially had access to and had them give her a shout out. But that would have been too much like right. Meghan’s idea isn’t horrible, it’s just she had made herself completely unlikable.
It's incredible to watch a woman go from lifestyle blogger to marrying into the British Royal Family then slide all the way back down to lifestyle blogger. Meghan Markle's most impressive achievements... have been her epic failures in spite of all the opportunities for success in the world.

I’ve lived in California all my life. I had never heard of TheTig, Suits, or MM. When I first saw a picture of her after her engagement, I told my husband “she is trouble”. My husband asked why I thought that. I told him that look on her face says it all. The cat that caught the canary look was plastered all over her face and demeanor.
PH’s comment early on did it for me: “Meghan gets what Meghan wants.” That’s not a compliment- it’s a red flag.

I just don’t understand her impulse to lie-there is nothing wrong with a father helping his daughter pay for college, and she used to speak very fondly and gratefully about it. So why lie about it as if it’s somehow shameful? I get it, she wanted the “strong independent woman” narrative; but she still could have had that if she actually acted on the opportunities afforded to her. “My father empowered me to pursue my dreams, now I’m going to show him what I can do, make him proud,” that kind of thing. Instead she took and took and then she rewrote it with him on the cutting room floor. There’s nothing empowering about such connivance.
Might be she cannot or will not try to pause to get creative enough regarding giving anyone credit. She seems to feel that she must present herself as totally " self made" despite the fact that it doesn't appear anything was her on her own initiative and effort. Ahe seems to have a lazy streak, but she might be using all of her time cultivating her contacts. She seems connected to so many people, everywhere. All that networking takes time. Might be why she only worked 1 hour per week.

Meghan is literally SO common. You can tell everything about her just from a few key peices of information. All the beige and neutral colors, all the concerts she goes to are the typical ultra famous artists, all the boring instragram "girl content" on IG and her blog, she has the same personality and beliefs of every other early millenial - feminism, ultra liberalism, etc. I know the type because I have a sister just like her. Meghan is utterly predictable, not at all special and that is the most hilarious irony of her need to better than everyone else.

I think we're looking at two different things. Academically, all she has ever had to do is study the textbooks and papers that others have written. She has no difficulty taking and using what already exists: as we've seen, she does tend to plagiarise. Her problem is when she has to create something from scratch - she just doesn't have that creative gene.

I'm a self confessed pop culture/celebrity dork, a royalist and have been "chronically online" since age 12 in 1995 - and I had never heard of The Tig, or Meghan, until Harry released his "It is her life, and mine" whinge note in 2017 or whenever. I had no idea he was even dating anyone - and even when I googled her I was still like "...who??"

Apparently, he has taken pictures of her cooking for publication in ARO and seperate pictures of her with and without the children. She obviously needs Jake's input to sort the ARO website out. That could also explain why she didn't opt for Misan Harriman to do the photoshoot. Hmm, very interesting 🤔

I just had a crazy thought… is it possible that Meghan referring to herself as The Duchess of Sussex, when her proper title is Duchess of Sussex, isn’t her being stupid or defiant, but is actually her hair-splitting way of getting around the Sandringham Summit agreement? Success leaves clues. Ostensibly the only relevant success she’s had with an online identity is the Tig. But it was just alot of edited photoshopped pictures of her eating at restaurants in yachting locations. She was the consistent prop in her Tig photos but someone else made her look relevant, interesting and marketable. That was yet ANOTHER MAN

Her newest endeavour seems like it wasn't ready for launch, but I suspect she may have been rushed to get it out due to her usual behaviour of blatantly ignoring Royal protocols and requests and bulldozing her announcements. I suspect her tactic is to get her news out without warning so the Royal family is forced to either publicly fight as she claims victim or to say nothing and accept her actions. She was coordinating her launch to ride off Diana's event matching dates, and I think she wanted to catch everyone off guard as their attention was focused on William. Shame on her.
