      @iamchrisyap Brunswick, its quite cheap, it's diverse, it's got lots of great cafes and eateries, good transport, close to cbd, its sometimes weired, its sometimes edgy, its sometimes daggy, its sometimes colourful and eclectic. It's got it all!! 👍

    Most Malaysians return from overseas(especially now more than ever)because they realise that life in Western countries is not like how it's portrayed in movies. It's pretty much the same and problems they face in Malaysia is not going to go away living overseas. Also if they made their money overseas, it goes miles longer spending here in Malaysia than in overseas.
    That being said,those that remain here are usually those belonging in the Arts/Pure science field or those who seek personal freedom. With the former, if you're a good artist or scientist you are not appreciated as much in Malaysia than you do in Western countries. I personally belong to the latter. Malaysia is great country but as a non practising Muslim is quite difficult to do things here without being judged by relatives and authorities.

    The city's growing population and high demand for housing have led to rising prices and limited availability. It's important for individuals to research and plan ahead, as well as consider alternative options such as shared accommodation or living in outer suburbs.

    Hey Man thanks for this great video, very informative! I'll be doing this kind of things in a month and I need reference with similar condition like me (student visa with dependant), thankfully your vid come up on top! I just have few questions if you don't mind answering: 1) How long does it take to get accepted by agent when you apply? 2) Is it hard to get accepted if we don't have income (not yet) and history of renting in AU? Thanks in advance!

    • @iamchrisyap
      @iamchrisyap  2 года назад +1

      Hey Evan! Glad it helps!
      Hmm typically it takes around a week or two, but highly dependent on the demand of that place too. It does take longer sometimes.
      It deffo will be trickier if you don’t have strong financial records. Depending on the area you’re applying for, it can get competitive, especially in the city.
      What we did was just show whatever financial records we have from our home country and prayed for the best. 😅

      Hey Chris! I think it would largely depend on your budget and lifestyle. Might make the most sense staying close to your workplace and somewhere within your budget, as the prices now can get quite expensive. If finding a temporary place while looking for an apartment, I would go with a place that would be time and cost efficient!
