That instead of it being an unnatural institution, that it is, in fact, perfectly natural and essential, it is the "cosmos blooming". All things in nature go through cycles and all things come to an end and that is vitally important for something else to grow. The ossification of a particular religion is a natural aspect as it moves into the "winter" of its usefulness. Therefore, a new and advanced perspective must be Revealed in order to be pertinent to the progress of the times. The essential truth is always the same, but the social aspect must change as man evolves. My solution rests in the philosophy of the Bahá'í faith. The Bahá'í faith does not claim to be another religion out to compete with the other established faiths nor is it at odds with reason and encourages scientific investigation. Rather, for me, it has put together all the competing world views and synthesized them into a harmonious understanding of reality. This reality offers a personal relationship with the Divine while we continue to reason and work towards a better world materially. It does not answer all questions, naturally, but offers a framework to build your life upon. I would say more, but I have found I hardly receive any response. So, if there is interest in this subject. I would love to discuss it further.
