I remember the owner(?), had a tiny penny Wrigley's gum machine, and sold Goldberg Peanut Chews, at the cash window. lol! My Aunt worked at Wannamaker's, and got her gas there for years. In the 60's the owner wore a one piece jumpsuit uniform, with a wide brown belt. As soon as it got dark out he had this extra long barrel pistol. I only remember that, because he had to drop the kids off at the pool, and handed it to my Aunt so she would be safe untill he got back. I'm pretty sure he was running the Dark Lottery for $1.00 too. lol! Only because my Aunt would joke, Here's your 41.00 tip! And then run home to watch see what the Daily was at 11pm. My Aunt never tipped annnnny one. lol!
