Payday 2 has such a wide variety of fire arms, the video would take legitimately hours to film, maybe even after editing, but it would be a HUGE assortment of weapons
Could you please do a Firearms Expert reacts on the Guns of the Mass Effect trilogy? What might have inspired them and just how mr. Ferguson finds their look and feel?
Interesting post, Jonathan, thanks for putting it up. One game that models flamethrower action semi-realistically is Steel Division 2. A wargame, rather than an FPS, but as you would expect, flamethrower teams can have a devastating effect on troop morale, with many units falling back, or plain routing, if attacked. Keep up the good work, lots of interesting posts!
Fallout and Halo are still the big two I’d love him to cover. Clearly he’s got prior knowledge of fallout so that should be interesting, but I’m not sure if he’s had any experience with Halo at all. It’d be fun seeing him try to draw parallels to Halo’s fictional firearms.
11:22 "You are shooting burning, thickened fuel" Flashbacks first time seeing Girdeux shooting his arcing flamethrower beam at you in the Freedom Memorial level fight in Syphon Filter 1.
The shotgun from Not A Hero reminds me of a mix of a SRSS Bulldog 7.62 front, KSG iron sights, Some mock-up of a AA-12 Pro Mag, and a Saiga Sporting Stock
"Chris redfield is a bit of a unit" I love how everyone is getting flashbacks to RE5 when Chris punches a boulder. Jesus Christ, I wonder how he did it without breaking his hands, or at the very least damaging his flesh.
I love the way Jonathan analyses the in game guns, exaplaining why things are wrong and is also in terms that someones whose entire experience and knowledge of firearms comes from video games please keep up the good work. I would also like to leave some suggestions; Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3, Medal of Honour: Airborne, Fallout: New Vegas, Resident evil 2 and 3 remake, Boneworks, Wolfenstein: New Order and New Colossus, Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway, Sniper Elite Series, Dayz, Arma 3, Fallout 4, Rainbow 6 siege and Doom.
4:50 I’ve played enough of this game to know with 100% certainty that the four-legged molded is completely fine from that shotgun blast. Those things can eat up so much ammo and health if you don’t get a headshot immediately.
Can you do Alien isolation next? It has some cool guns, even experimental ones from south africa (and if you've played Halo, Mirrors Edge, and a number of other games, you should know game designers have an infatuation with SA guns, and for good reasons)
I had guessed that the difference between the two shotguns was in the spread rather than actual power, the narrower spread just killing more reliably. I am a bit surprised there was no mention of the Automag or the handgun found on the tanker. I do like how he could see that the 10 round magazine on the Glock was a compromise between realism and gameplay balance, as Resident Evil usually has characters with 10 to 15 round handguns at the start.
5:39 from the name "M37 Shotgun" so what come to my mind is the ithaca model 37 but, the shotgun ejecting port is on the right side not below it Sorry for my pronounciation
Killing Floor 2! Make it the next one, please. It would be really cool to see Jonathan react to the realistic weapons it offers plus the many wacky apocalyptic ones.
In terms of airsoft, the SGR12 is built off the same platform as the AA12 shotgun. They have interchangeable mags and both are capable of using the drum mag you can find in other games like CoD Warzone for the AA12.
It did bother me a little that the M19 was firing with its hammer up, as well as that it stayed up after the slide cycled. It's an overtly gun-nerd detail to fuss about so I can see why it would go unmentioned.

"Chris Redfield is indeed a bit of a unit."
lmao
I'm glad you actually do point out the similarities between fictional firearms and the real world ones.even the ones that don't make any sense
Jonathan: Chris Redfield is a bit of a unit
*Well that's an understatement if i ever heard one.*
Titanfall 2 would love to see him to react the guns on that game
kinda like Spaltoon or Cyberpunk where he makes sense of fake guns
Rainbow six siege would be good since there is a lot of gun there
I would love to see that
Yes, Titanfall 2
I think Killing floor 2 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein are examples of how terrifying a flamethrower is

I haven’t played a shooter or any video game in like seven years and I’ve never shot a gun in my life but I still love this series.
Keep up the good work, lots of interesting posts!
i love how he actually has knowledge about the games that guns are in aswell, great videos
The longer barrel the over under focused The shot into a tighter grouping
“Chris Redfield is a bit of a unit” well he did punch that boulder
Did he just call "Chris the Boulder Killer" a unit?
Oh no he didn't!
For anyone who was like me and at 2:40 said "wow that looks like the gun is fight club" interestingly it's a smith and wesson model 4506 in fight club
I just finished playing through RE7 again yesterday and thought I'd love to see Johnathan react to these weapons! Very cool!
The RE3 remake has Nemesis use a flamethrower that can, finally, throw ignited fuel at you, as opposed to the common farcry-esque gas flamethrower
I think a Hunt Showdown part 2 would be great!
@Fuzzy Movieclips here have a dislike my friend
Fallout and Halo are still the big two I’d love him to cover. Clearly he’s got prior knowledge of fallout so that should be interesting, but I’m not sure if he’s had any experience with Halo at all. It’d be fun seeing him try to draw parallels to Halo’s fictional firearms.
Love this guy. So well educated and informative!
"Chris redfield is a bit of a unit"
I love how everyone is getting flashbacks to RE5 when Chris punches a boulder. Jesus Christ, I wonder how he did it without breaking his hands, or at the very least damaging his flesh.
We need to see him react to E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy's weapons.

I’ve played enough of this game to know with 100% certainty that the four-legged molded is completely fine from that shotgun blast. Those things can eat up so much ammo and health if you don’t get a headshot immediately.
Weren't they the least spongy out of the molded?
Can you do Alien isolation next? It has some cool guns, even experimental ones from south africa (and if you've played Halo, Mirrors Edge, and a number of other games, you should know game designers have an infatuation with SA guns, and for good reasons)
For a reason, think Neostad shotgun, Inkunzi grenade launcher, the street sweeper shotgun or others. You probably know those.
@@holykuhmeinefresse A man after my own heart
@Fuzzy Movieclips here my friend a dislike for you
would love to see Jonathan React to the Kendo Gunshop videos
I would love to see a breakdown of the guns from the Sniper Elite series.
5:39 from the name "M37 Shotgun" so what come to my mind is the ithaca model 37 but, the shotgun ejecting port is on the right side not below it
Sorry for my pronounciation
7:27 honestly in my opinion it looks like a really modified AA-12
Please, please have a look at the Red Orchestra/ Rising Storm series, in rising storm 2 you may find the most realistic flamethrower in gaming
Killing Floor 2! Make it the next one, please. It would be really cool to see Jonathan react to the realistic weapons it offers plus the many wacky apocalyptic ones.
And it has a more accurate flamethrower than you usually see, too.

In terms of airsoft, the SGR12 is built off the same platform as the AA12 shotgun. They have interchangeable mags and both are capable of using the drum mag you can find in other games like CoD Warzone for the AA12.
When I heard himself say he played it in vr I felt his pain because I played the game fully in vr and man is it an experience
GameSpot better be paying this dude well for doing these videos.
It'd be interesting to have him react to the weapons of Fallout New Vegas, including the dlc weapons from the main dlc's and Gun Runners Arsenal
It did bother me a little that the M19 was firing with its hammer up, as well as that it stayed up after the slide cycled. It's an overtly gun-nerd detail to fuss about so I can see why it would go unmentioned.
Really love these videos keep them coming
13:20 i am having some Inglorious Bastards flashbacks with that... pistol glove thing.
The fact he played this In VR first makes me understand his concern with getting a better weapon
"The recoil on that should be more...unless Chris is a complete unit"
ummm...i thought you said you came back for Resi 5??
Kind of curious why he didn't mention the .44 Mag when he literally has the real world equivalent on the table behind him.
Probably cut out
@A r just for one gun, that's pretty petty if you ask me.
@A r I think he has the .44 magnum in his resident evil village video.
@@syricstheconquerer3608 then again, we've seen all of the other guns in video games before. The .44 mag is incredibly unique
watch Jonathan put an entire media company on his back
I agree with the flamethrower bit. For added immersion, ask an assistant to set you on fire when your character is to accurately portray that feeling.
