- Streaming music can be done in many ways. The Wattson Emerson Analog is perhaps the easiest way if you are in for a somewhat upmarket solution.

It's remarkable how good your reviews are Hans. No politics, just detailed information that fleshes out a product, giving us an understanding of it in a few minutes that is often hard to get elsewhere. Thank you!
Thanks for your kind words.
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel do you plan to test the brand new Wattson Madison streamer and DAC with Lheed?
As usual, concise and honest.
Good one, I especially like the comparisons with other power supplies.
Cool, thanks
When I bought the digital one last year, they weren't even roon ready yet. Glad they are authorized by Roon Lab earlier this year. Also the board inside is the exact same one which also appears as an option board for CH Precision D1.
Both are very useful to be able your set up to "interface" with online streaming audio services - especially if you own 1990s era gear that will probably still be running in the next 50 years.
A nice, simple and attractive device, thanks Hans.
Glad you like it!
👍👌
Great review as always. Would you consider reviewing the digital version and providing some thoughts on how it compares with the best Pi HATs like the Digione Signature you reviewed a few years ago?
Will do
Would not Using the Wattson digital into a quality dac , provide better sound quality than the analogue version to a preamp or integrated?
We’ll see
@@TheHansBeekhuyzenChannel really interested to know your opinion on the Emerson digital vs sonore microrendu or SoTM or even higher end streamers!
Well, the Emerson has AES/EBU and SPDIF while the other two go USB out.
True, but without going through a dac chip..
Wow and there I was thinking my 2Go was expensive. :-)
It’s not expensive at all. But it is a lot of money.
so what does this do that an RPi with Hifiberry doesnt?
Sound a lot better! Provided your stereo is of sufficient quality.
Thx for your intro. I got n enjoy , but have to change LPS for better sound quality!!
: (
Well, you can if you like.
I was hoping to upgrade from my Node 2i to a Sonore Optical Rendu. Now I’m really confused, Watson instead?
Sorry....
Is that an upgrade?
@@commane21 I don’t know. Only speculation.
Is the 2 times better the the Bluesound Node 2i? It's more than twice as expensive.
Yes
Th Analog beats my old Auralic Vega DAC by a significant margin and it also includes a streamer!! Says a lot
Is it usable with linux?
Sure. There are DLNA servers for Linux or you could useRoon - also available for Linux.
