Going through this whole clip frame-by-frame is fascinating, there’s so many detailed frames of Luffy’s eyes and mouth being left behind while his body goes off to do something, or Luffy grabbing his popping-out eyes and slamming them back through his skull so hard they rocket 30 feet behind him, after which he launches himself backward by rebounding his body to the new location of his eyes 🤣

The Reverse card's only function is to reverse turn order when played as a normal part of your turn, and even then, it only actually matters when there are at least 3 players. Using it to reference a reflected attack in a battle between 2 characters doesn't make much sense, as with 2 players it would be the other player's turn next, anyway.
@@Compucleswho follows the actual uno rules. Everyone has their own versions lol
I will never be able to get over Kaido’s face when he gets that shot reversed at him 😂😂😂
i love how the title says "Uno Reversing Kaido's Fire" like it makes it even funnier!
If we can all just take a moment to fully appreciate the visual gag that is Luffy moonwalking... _while_ moonwalking-
Some people were saying it's him doing the moon walk from cipherpol but it's clear that it's a reference to looney tunes where they try running in mid air. I loved that scene so much!
The frame of gear 5 with luffy holding his face makes him look like a final boss, so cool
He’s got toon powers….. literal toon powers!! That’s like imagination land come to life. Yes, he can do whatever he wants. A good move was having Warner Bros. actually animate this episode. Awesome 👏🏾👏🏽👏🏼👏🏻👏
Every word that you said was incorrect...
@@alitafullarmor5957 care to elaborate?
@@TrueDarkMajin Warner Bros didn't animate the episode, that was a rumor. Luffy is not using "Toon Powers" and Luffy cannot do anything he wants...
There you go.
While you are right about Warner Bros. not animating this episode, you are wrong about Luffy not being able to do what he wants. Liberation means being free and the Gum Gum (or nika nika or human human) fruit gives people the power of Nika/Joyboy a.k.a the warrior of liberation
Imagine luffy attaining gear 6 by putting The Mask on.
0:05 luffy’s arms through his eye sockets 😂
That’s a neat detail ngl
Kaido's face at 0:35 never gets old 😂😂
Agreed.
Its already becoming a meme
That was out of left field 😦
Gear 5 is mid
Goofy luffy is funny!
I loved that when he was moon walking it was him running in mid air and then his feet slapped through his body into his head as he slammed into the ground 😆 they did this perfectly!!
@@zmerk253ikr 😂😂😂
I like that when they're spelling out gear in high speed, the G has a clip of base Luffy, the E has Gear Second, the A has Gear Third and the R has Gear Fifth.
0:20 was that Mr.Krabs walking sound??? 😂
Definitely sounded like it.
1:13 Epic montage of the other Gears and attacks
Kaido’s shocked face at 0:36 would make for the perfect thumbnail for this clip
Kaido: fighting more seriously than ever trying to save himself.
Luffy: he's having the time of his life
I love the uno reverse title and at 1:25 in my opinion is prolly one of the best scenes, when luffy says gear 5! It hypes me up and the Animation is peak right here.
I love it so much. Cant describe it
I also like how for a couple of frames it looks like Luffy is glitching out because that’s just how fast his toon movement looks in the world of anime.
Goosebumps
wym by peak i couldnt even see what was going on 💀
@@samo8690 you need new eyes bro
0:18 luffy just casually moonwalking
Just imagine how many cartoon styles the animators had to look up, and make them seem like they belong in in anime. They really outdid themselves 👏🏾
1) This scene is amazing.
2) I just wish we could see more than like half of it because of the way it's shot in constant motion
Watched it on 0.75 speed and it was so much better. All they needed to do was make it slightly slower so you could comprehend the movements better
@@DarthSpock9940i agree 100 percent! Just watched it and it was way easier to see the motions and it’s also more dramatized as well
extra weird because they looped that once scene of the reveal like 3 times lol. could've saved on one of those and slowed this down to .75
@@DarthSpock9940 You're right, that's so much easier to tell what's actually happening!
I know this was a year ago but the whole point of the scene is that Luffy basically broke the laws of not just physics, but the animation. It's like the camera can't keep up with him
You can tell Oda had fun coming up with all this Gear 5 peak fiction and Toei had fun animating it. Can't wait to see the future episodes and arcs.
I'm not generally the sort to watch out of context clips for anime I haven't gotten into yet, but I just kept hearing about Gear 5....and this is it, ive gotta watch One Piece now. I love a good dark and edgy shonen or seinen, but everything about this speaks to me of a work that is so secure in its vision that the ultimate power of its MC is to turn the darkest and edgiest bits into a tom and jerry slapfight
It took me several times watching this scene to figure out “how did he send it back?” 🤣
0:36 Kaido flabbergasted fr😭
Bro was really moon sliding BACK to the ground
0:51 the music reminds me of Mario 64 or something like that
I could watch this a hundred times. Need a gif of kaido looking serious and then going "eh" as he noticers it coming back at him
The friggin way Luffy says the second "what" will crack me up for years to come
I really enjoyed this, though the toony parts could have been a bit more stretched out because it was hard to follow at times It feels great to see luffy gear 5 in action, sorta reminds me of the early days of one piece ^_^.
Exactly! They usually love stretching meh scenes; extra frames here, would have been appreciated.
I agree. It's beautiful work, but very hard to follow.
I actually played this scene in slow motion and it's slightly better to follow
@@lionelsenga3752 The stretching has been happening since the timeskip, but more noticable since Dressrosa
thats what oda was going for he thought one piece was getting too serious so he brought the early goofiness back with gear 5
Ok but can we acknowledge the ost used, it’s so whacky and chaotic and I love it
I'm so glad ya put this scene up here, cause I really wanted to re-watch it at a slower playback speed to see each of these insane frames for Gear 5's animation. The animators went full Loony Tunes and I love it!
I really wanna see Luffy’s va in the recording booth doing these lines. Must’ve been hilarious
Luffy was having so much fun on a fight to the death 😂 I love Gear 5!!
All I can hear at the end after the last ding is the jackpot sound
PROPS TO ODA AND THE COMMUNITY FOR MAKING THIS SO LOONEY! IT MATCHES LUFFY SO WELL! Plus, as someone who grew up watching Tom and jerry, Popeye, animanics(I know i didn’t spell it right) and other loony and goofy cartoons, this just makes it 100000X BETTER!
Animaniacs
I can’t really tell what’s going on, but I can tell that a lot of effort was put into this animation
Slow it down to about 0.5x speed and it’ll start becoming easier to keep up with 😅 not that Luffy is a coherent being for a good chunk of it anyway
@@TheCrazyCapMaster0.75 is better. It is balanced between comprehensive and smooth
I agree .75 is the best
Love how he sits there smiling while Kaido gets roasted
Luffy's tiny peek between his fingers before his bursts out laughing, feels super malicious
0:18 This part looks like Luffy's doing the moonwalk
This is the most incomprehensible thing I've ever seen.
Bro really walk like Michael Jackson but bro is doing Sunwalking
Play and pause the Gear 5 caption in rapid succession, you’ll see a montage of every fight Luffy has had. Every leap in strength that lead up to this.
The way Luffy's eyes popped out of his head is definitely something out of a cartoon, but besides that Luffy is full of surprises. I'll give him that. 👍👍👍
Doesn't Buggy eyes pops out too?
@@walden6272 I don't know who or what Buggy is. but I'm not exactly sure since I haven't seen Buggy.
Buggy has the power of the Chop Chop Fruit, that allows him to separate bofy parts and make them float around him. And yes, in theory he could because of his powers.
@@eduardomunoz4387 Oh, Cool!
Luffy is so strong now he doesnt even have to try, he just has fun playing w his opps. That is literally peak, theres no where for him to go. And if hes always happy hes always got a cool calm and collected mind state so just imagine his futures sight. If Luffy wants to have fun, theres gunna be no one that can stop that. Hes truly becoming the freest person in the world…
funny part is the victory was still close. that fruit would have meant nothing without his haki control.
The fact that Kaido was keeping up with Joyboy himself is truly a remarkable death.
Except that Kaido came close to actually beating Luffy a fourth time with the Magma Dragon Form or whatever... Kaido is still stronger. XD
