- A little vid I put together from a recent trip in Northern NSW.
3.1TDI • 2"lift on 32" x 10.5" mud terrains on 16" steel rims • 2.5" straight through exhaust • turbo and fuel boosted to 14.5psi & max EGT 500deg • Vehicle also has a fold out bed in the rear. I have since added a snorkel, rock sliders and a 28" light bar to the bull bar (bumper). Also planning to replace the turbo with a modified version to get approx 115Kw and 450nm
Hell ya brother, I got a 94’ with the 3.2 and she’s still goin with 233,000 plus on her, can’t wait to get a LSD and some 33s on it and she’ll be unstoppable lol, good wheelin man
I also have a 94 trooper in the U.S. (3.2 litre gasoline) and I love it I take it through trails almost identical to those and with the help of a highlift jack and bfg all terrains I've never needed to be rescued by another vehicle
Shooter Nelson Awesome man, I actually got stuck at the end lol this is a few days before I installed a winch and bought some recovery tracks lol Still got to get myself a high jack lift which I plan to mount on the spare tyre when off road. The V6 is a good vehicle, I know of a few people who have over 300,000miles on the clock here in Australia
Fue mi mejor compañero durate 22 años tuve que salir de el y todavio lo estraño❤
Excelente conductor. Excellent driver!
turbo sounds so cool
love the scenery! Much different from where I live. The diesel sounds sick btw! I wish US troopers had a diesel option, but they dont
us troopers did have a diesel option.
+J HNV. Really? I've never actually heard of anyone owning one?
I own one... I litteraly just bought it. The US imports had a 2.3 liter turbo diesel. However their connecting rods were knows to fail. My troopers motor blew up at some point and was replaced by a 2.2 c223 pup motor. Non turbo.
Best suspention
great stuff
Хорошо ползёт!!! )
rare in my country, seen one for sale, is the 3.1TD engine reliable?
Yes it's super reliable engine, just a little bit slow
Nice truck! I'm thinking of getting one here in New Zealand. Did you end up changing out the turbo and did it make the power you were after?
Thanks mate, i haven't got around to it yet due to $$ but there is a guy in NZ modding turbo's for them for about 1K and getting 118kw and 480nm torque. If you end up getting one i can put you in contact with him. Look for one with low kms and you'll be sweet.
Gibbet Hoskins hi would like to inquire about the turbo upgrade... May I know who to contact?
Second that. I’ve got a 3L diesel turbo..
Top place where about are u bud
Hey mate, I also have a 1994 Jackaroo, Petrol one.
just wondering how big is your roof basket cuz I intent to install one for me too and the size you have looks pretty good. thanks
Daniel Dias Hey man, from memory it's about 1600 x 1250 wide. I'll double check tonight and let you know for sure. One of the best additions I've added to it as I camp a lot.
We’re stuck. We’re stuck mummy
"Tell me about it" Stuck for 6hrs in fact 😆 due to a broken winch and no phone reception. A Bloke ended up showing up and snatched me out. That mud hole was a lot deeper than it looked.
What model ARB front bar do you have, it suits really well
+Kate Macdonald Thanks mate, not sure if the bull bar has a model name but it's basically a steel winch bar for a 94 model, I was lucky enough to score it second hand yet virtually brand new, as the previous owner had just put it on and his vehicle blew up. Need to get my winch running and installed though!
Hay man nice video just wanted to know what model jack you got I was contemplating what model is the best
TheGamingAboriginal Hey mate it's a 1994 intercooled turbo diesel 3.1Ltr - engine model 4JG2. In my opinion they are better than the later model 3.0Ltr (4Jx1) diesel as they require a lot of maintenance, knowledge and are known to be problematic if not looked after correctly by previous owner. The V6 petrols are a decent wagon too with a lot of power although chew a little more fuel and likely won't last as long as a diesel.
They are very capable off road, i only got bogged at the end as people with 40" tires had dug out the ruts and I only run 32's, so got hung on my axles. I have 450,000kms on the clock and still going strong. Although keep in mind if purchasing a 20year vehicle you can expect to have to replace basic parts. I picked this wagon up for a bargain at $2500, but have added about 5K of stuff to it. Good luck, there is a facebook forum: holdenjackaroo/isuzu4x4 if you need more info on them
Nice truck! Where did you get your roof rack and mount from?
David Penn Hi mate these were on when I bought the vehicle, but the best rack system is the Rhino Rack system that mounts to the factory mount points. The factory mount points are ander under under the plastic strips along the roof. I'm not sure if Rhino Rack still makes them, best bet would be on the holden jackaroo Facebook forum or Isuzu trooper forums if you are not in Australia
So, changed the turbo yet? :)
Hey mate, yeah changed not long after the video :)
permiso para compartir en una pagina de paraguay, asi ven lo que es capaz la isuzu
MultiScorpion adelante
did u get out? and how? you made it look bad for D jackaroo sorry
shauna fay ellis Lol got stuck for hours due to not having my winch running at the time. A friend came and pulled me out from the rear. That section had a lot deeper ruts than it looked. Other trucks running 35's+ digging deep ruts and I got hung up on diffs. Was only running stock lift and 32's at the time. Now running 2" lift, winch and rear locker.
that's cool bro I agree though winch is essential any truck with out one will need one eventually but I'm pretty sure I mite still buy one :D
Como se oye el turbo soplar
Turbo was replaced not long after the video
Are those bullet holes in the doors? (2:30 in the video)
+Thomas Campbell Yes, Australia is a wild place ;) Just kidding, they are just stickers designed to look like bullet holes. I often see people looking at them checking if they are real lol
I had the same question especially on the video where you showed your modifications. I can relax now.
Hello ,do You have a diferential locker?
Not in this video I didn't but I do now, makes a world of difference. (Only a rear one, not in the front)
You got stuck at the end? how did you get out? haha
@113614620068151757103 Hey man, a big storm rolled in and I actually had to ring the police for help, but they wouldn't come. Some dude heard the call over the radio and drove 45mins to pull me out. Bit of a Legend. I've since installed a winch and got some recovery tracks and a high jack lift so it doesn't happen again. Usually get through that section easy but some bigger trucks must have dug it out as I got hung on my axles. Wasn't really concentrating at the time too, should have hit it with speed.
wow what a story! Good thing you were able to get out of there!
