Thank you for the clear and concise instruction. I have an old freezer that I want to transform into a large incubator and needed to learn about wiring and fans and heat regulation etc. Now I know that I am going to add a window in the door of my freezer.
I share your wonder at watching life spring forth from the works of your hands! I'm doing the same with ducks, they're messy but adorable. Thanks for the very informative video!
Wonderfull video brother! I'll be working on building 1 of these in summer/autum. You just got a new sub and like🙌🏼 Keep on the good work brother, you are amazing!
thanks for your kind words. I look forward to your work. Keep me posted please. I will be building a similar size again in a few weeks, but full automatic this time
Ok just like what I have done my incubator. The light is position up and down we don't anymore needs tuner of the eggs . Because the heats are easily turn around through the fun. Nice and thanks.
FIRST 18 DAYS make sure your below 50% to be on the safe side. But you would want to get it between 35% and 45%. I prefer around 35-37%. LAST 3 DAYS above 50%. best between 65% and 80%
Very well done! I don’t understand how you can keep the temperature constant. Do you need to play around with the ventilators since you can’t adjust the heat produced by the lamps?
thank you. temperature was hard to keep at a stable 37.5 degrees. we played around with different bulb wattages, in combination with the ventilation holes. The issue with the ventilation holes, was the fact that, Ghana has high humidity, so whenever we let air from inside into the incubator to cool it, we also allowed more humidity into it we didn't need. so it was a game of balancing everything. You will not get it a 100% if your machine is manual like this is.
@@AIS.FarmResorts Thanks for the answer, can you also attach a thermostat? So that when it’s to cold the lamp will go on and when it’s to hot is falls out again? Seems like an impossible task to keep the temperature on point during the night
@@timdemol1459 you can certainly add a thermostat to your construction, if this helps regulate the temperature. I didn't have that. And more specifically, I did this video for those who cannot afford the extra parts. But you can certainly add your own parts
Good day sir..watching from Philippines..would you mind to show us the correct position of the heater and circulating fan..to get better and equal air circulation..thanks
make sure there are no openings on your incubator which allows outside humidity into your incubator. avoid opening your machine as much as possible. remove any water bowls with water from your incubator if its not day 19 of incubation. place a bowl of raw rice inside you incubator
@AIS.FarmResorts let say, I want to use the same uncubation for other purposes that need temperature around 50 to 100 degrees Celsius. Is this method can be used?
Good evening. I am connecting from Benin City. Please where is your location and how much does such manual incubator cost in case I want to order from you please?
For the first 18 days of incubation, should be low. We bring the humidity down by placing a container of raw rice grain or sheets of foam pieces. On the last 3 days of incubation, we raise the humidity by removing all the foams/raise and placing a bowl of water in the incubator. I hope this helps
Greeting sir . I want to do the same thing am see. I have watch this over and over again and again. . So I Don't know how long I have to be turning the eggs
unfortunately, it was all regulated by trying out different Watt bulbs until we got the right heating temperature. the issue though is, outside temperatures like hot or cold days will influence the temperatures inside of the incubator
believe me I know. after all, I built a full automatic 5000 capacity egg incubator. the whole idea of this video is for those who can't afford a full automated machine. or those who want to try their hands on a manual machine before venturing the automated. I learned how to build mine in stages, as I have shown in my video uploads
we started with 100W but it was too hot. We changed to 60W, then 20W and eventually 11W. You have to test and try to see which would help you reach a temperature of 37.5 degrees
I have watched several egg hatching bx builds but i think this is the best one yet!
Thank you for the clear and concise instruction. I have an old freezer that I want to transform into a large incubator and needed to learn about wiring and fans and heat regulation etc. Now I know that I am going to add a window in the door of my freezer.
They are best to keep the heat and humidity inside. Fridges and freezers well insulated and make the best homemade incubators. best of luck

Thanks for the video.
Didn't see how how the temperature and humidity controller was fitted.
I hope you will elaborate on it in your next video.
They are all well labelled on the controller. I'm sure I'll make a video in the future around this topic. Stay tuned
Easy and straight, understandable. Good steps. Good one .

glad you liked the video
Very clear and accurate instruction.

I built mine using a water heater thermostat wired to light bulbs ...good video
did it work too? I could try it in my next project
Can you share me a video about your construction ?

the egg turner is not for distribution of heat but to keep the yoke from sticking to the wall of the egg shell
Very nice work this is a good idea keep it wishes you all the best I also trying to build main thanks for your contributed that you are given
many thanks for your kind words

Thanks for good Ideas sir but water should be put from the very first day or after 18 days? waiting for reply boss.
The water must be placed in it on or from DAY 18
I live in a humidity of around 80....how can i get the humidity down in an incubator?...and are holes and fresh air really needed?
make sure there are no openings on your incubator which allows outside humidity into your incubator.
avoid opening your machine as much as possible.
remove any water bowls with water from your incubator if its not day 19 of incubation.
place a bowl of raw rice inside you incubator
I just want to ask how many percent hatching rate for this incubator. God bless you
the hatch rate was terrible. I would say under 35%. This is because I was turning the eggs manually by hand
This as been really helpful to me
Très jolie vidéo. Merci.
Comment s'appelle le papier que vois avez utilisé pour l'isolation ?
Just search for Egg Incubator Insulation Foil. You will get many options to choose from. Each one will do the work. Good luck my friend
Very informative video brother 🙏
thanks for finding it informative
Wonderful work....how often you turn the eggs.
I tried to do it every hour. But it was impossible during the nights when I went to bed
But otherwise prior to that the hatch came out good
@@jaredbharrat2972 yes the chicks came out fantastic.
this issue remains the hatch rate being low due to the egg turning not being frequent
Amazing indeed, thanks for the art and skill🔥💞
thanks for the appreciation
What is the hatch ratio? How many hatches do you get from the 500 eggs?
Eeh thanks sir you change the eggs every after 6 hr or every after one hr
it is very nice. keep it up. But it is better to explain the rating of the bulbs and the fans.
I promise to do better in the next videos. thanks
I like that. It's very simple, I will work on it.
good luck
This is very informative video, I would like to know how much the maximum temperature that this incubator can sustain?
you mean the maximum temperature you can achieve? You need to know what kind of poultry eggs you want to incubate
@AIS.FarmResorts let say, I want to use the same uncubation for other purposes that need temperature around 50 to 100 degrees Celsius. Is this method can be used?

This is really inspiring! How many watts are the bulbs
thank you. the bulb is 100 watts each.

Nice bro 🙂
thanks
Thanks for the idea. Is it working ok? Good hatch rate?
for a beginner, the hatch rate might be decent. But once you advance, you find the hatch of about 30-40% very poor.
How about turning of eggs ? It needed or not?
sorry do you mean if its necessary to turn the eggs around?
how many days will it take for the eggs to hutch
21 Days for chicken eggs
Great job 👍👍👍 i wonder though if you would have the time to construct one for me
unfortunately I am not into commercial manufacturing for now. But I will in the very near future
Sorry that you live so far I am in Jamaica

they were about 6watts each
Super
Thanks
Good evening. I am connecting from Benin City. Please where is your location and how much does such manual incubator cost in case I want to order from you please?
Good one sir. Thanks
Better add thermostat to control temperature
that is super!! can you add info about the hatching rate...?
the hatching rate was poor (under 50%).
Its because there isn't any egg turner built in or the temperature irregularity
How u control humidity ?
For the first 18 days of incubation, should be low. We bring the humidity down by placing a container of raw rice grain or sheets of foam pieces.
On the last 3 days of incubation, we raise the humidity by removing all the foams/raise and placing a bowl of water in the incubator.

How many Watts bulb?
How about your heat control?
unfortunately, it was all regulated by trying out different Watt bulbs until we got the right heating temperature. the issue though is, outside temperatures like hot or cold days will influence the temperatures inside of the incubator
With this techniques, do you still need to rotate the eggs manually?
YES. you MUST rotate the eggs if its not automatic. If you fail to rotate, your hatch rate will be very low
If you put in a temperature controller you won’t need to switch it on and off. It will stay at the temp you set it at.
believe me I know. after all, I built a full automatic 5000 capacity egg incubator.
