We’re so happy that YOU were the one that got the lucky upgrade! So cool.
I’m sure someone would complain about it… what a bonus!
Do you need to upgrade the back end and drive shaft now?
The rear differential (video soon) is so overkill there is still tons of ceiling room!
@@TheQuestionableGarage OK ......I WILL.......MUST BE NICE TO HAVE FRIENDS TO GIVE YOU CARS, HAVE SPONSORS AND THE MONEY....
THE MONEY
THE MONEY
DID I MENTION.......OH YEAH.....
THEY REAL MONEY TO DO IT
@@clevelandmaker386dude that's a lot of rage against the machine there.
that was such a neat surprise that your junkyard 372 Hemi was in reality a fully built 426 Stroker! you should definitely pop open the timing cover and see if you got a hot cam that matches that Forged bottom end!
CONGRATULATIONS ON 400K SUBS! Your hard work ethic and integrity make this one of the best channels out there! Totally deserved and well and truly earned! 👍
Thank you very much!
Nice to see a RUclipsr who follows build instructions better than most manufacturers. This explains why cars actually work over a period of time at Qustinable Garage.
I love the qeuewstionabler garage!
It's always nice when nice surprises happen to nice people!
Congratulations on the 400K subs big fella, you truly deserve all the praise, Rj in Oz
Much appreciated
392 has a longer throw than a 345 ❤ and a 426 is even better 👌
quick idea - put some shutoff valves on the fuel lines under the hood to make swapping lines a LOT less messy 😉
426 hemi duster!! Wooooo that’s sick man. Happy you won on this one, Jared. The ford hemi LS duster is coming together nicely
Nice win on the big motor. As soon as you removed the tray i saw that forged crank. 7.0 is a big jump.
not going to lie I saw the dents and instantly started chanting Stroker! gotta love a MOPAR and very glad you got a killer motor and hey the necessary mods to go racing are what they need to be having a pop off cover to service anythign on the transmission is probably handy, and the last 10% where sound deadening etc is where that tunnel thing gets finished.
Love the surprise in the Mopar department. After the 3 competitions, please do a decommissioning the other 2 engines and how to store engines long term video.
Loving the questionable garage, it’s now my favourite RUclips channel. Keep at it ❤
I would have a white board on the wall with all the part numbers on it, for set up A. B and C, I would also paint A, B and C on each part, this could help you when you are doing the swaps under time pressure!
Jared what a sick surprise! This series has been one of my favorite and we’re only half way through the first 1/3 of it! Your genuine love of everything automotive is admirable! Keep up the awesome work as always!! I’m looking forward to every other episode of this series!!
Been a tough couple weeks thanks for keeping my spirits up with your content
You got this!
Ty
That 426 Hemi going to need new rear tires at every oil change.
Nice Hemi! You of all people deserve one every once in awhile. May the car gods be with you on this project.
congrats on the badass hemi upgrade! that's going to be a beasty little Ruster!
I like how you ask us the question. Then answered it for us. They beat the oil baffle back. To make space for the pistons
So stoked for you on the stroker! Absolutely had a great time having you in Seattle! Can’t wait for more footage on this Duster!
The dustbuster duster is looking good!!!
I can hardly wait to see it on the road with different engines.
Keep up the good work, love the channel.
One questionable choice O will never regret was starting watching your channel from day one. Thanks for all the knowledgeable (?) and extremely entertaining content.
Make sure you wrap that starter in heat wrap, it's really close to the header
The "Free Stroker" Hemi was a glad surprise.
Awesome projectS
Nice to hear about positive fan interactions.
Someone gave this advice somewhere and I think it was a good one. Simply say something like “Love your work!”, let the person acknowledge you, and move on. Positive experience.
If they have the time and enjoy taking to strangers they will engage with you, bonus. If not, still good.
Oh yeah scores!!! Good Karma paying you back for being who you are. Couldn't happen for a better person. So happy for you buddy you deserve a break and a giant 7L monster is a great one!
Jarod this is my personnel favorite build on my youtube right now. I mean i dig tavarishes McClaren but way above my pay grade. This duster is right up there with Derek's independence Cleetus, McFarland's Ruby, the holey goat even old Jonny Rev. this old dodge is reaching out to alought of us the blue collar tire burner. i am really enjoying this build. thanks for letting us join the build
Hope your stroker experience goes better than mine. I bought an F100 with a 347 stroker. Seller said the machine shop went out of business. Whatever. It ran fine until it didn’t. $5700 at the machine shop later… So, maybe check everything if you have the time. Still a cool win with the stroker!
I cannot wait to hear the first cold start on that HEMI……….super cool break, for a super cool guy….❤
The sponsor intro was really well done, I actually laughed when I realized what you pulled out of the box.
Super cool. I love how well you’re treating this Duster. It’s my age (we are both ‘70 babies!) and I could use a “new engine” some days. 😜
Man that 426 surprise is awesome! Perfect "permanent" engine for after everything is done.
Hahahaha!!! That is so cool that you found the "bonus"!!! Can't wait to see how it performs! Love this channel!!
Thanks so much!!
Woo! Who ever was passing out the engines must have liked you.Too bad about the floor but, a vehicle like that was always bound to have a couple of surprises, especially with your plans being so extra unique.
426 Hemi...How Exciting. Can't wait to see the end result!!!
Triple configurations! Only you, Jared, would go for it! Good luck with everything
Awesome build Jared!!! With this HEMI beast you should call it Thruster
Come for the builds. Stay for the tunes.
Hope that you enjoyed your time up here in the Seattle region!
I was raised across the Highway from there and snuck in with my freinds back in the late 1980s...
Love this channel and everything you do my guy. Been watching since you started with tavarish, and back when he was doing WED with Andrew even. You deserve this channel, your success, and all the adventures and endeavors you’ve been experiencing. The dope stroker is just a stroke of good luck karma from all your damn hard work. 🎉🎉 congrats on 400k
That Duster must really be thinking that it hit the lottery. Being given a new lease on life and having a 7.0L Hemi installed to boot! This car is gonna rule them all.✌🏻🇺🇸
Love this project! Built motor for the win, and well deserved for the Duster! Can't wait to see it finished in all 3 power versions!
another nice episode, so nice to see the engine "upgrade" made all the other work seem less of a bother in the video edit.
because of your 7 liter surprise. just to be safe side, maybe a quick gander at those injectors to figure out if you need to look in to a bigger fuel pump.
Covering fuel in the next episode, have enough pump for a lot more power if I wanted to get totally crazy
Dude this is awesome! What a surprise. Congratulations on hitting 400k subscribers! Keep killing it man.
Awesome Karma paying you back a little, Jared. It saw what you did with that one dollar Jeep lol
Congrats on 400k subscribers!!
Score! Have you considered doing a electronic power steering pump conversion? which should save you a lot of headaches swapping between 3 different engines and associated plumbing.
I actually like the overhauling , 4x4 garage vibes. Kinda brings back good memories. In my opinion
Awesome as always. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
I'm getting from the comments that you must have an engine with some upgrades already done to it!!! Freaking sweet!! 👍🏻😎
Usually people just use spacers on the tray instead of just beating clearance into it but if it works it works and what a pleasant surprise a stroked hemi
On the gen iii hemi the tray is part of the gasket so you can’t shim it like the others!
TQG keeps being the best automotive channel on the site
wow you got some great sponsorships for this project - very well done
Congrats on the motor roulette, you definitely won on this one !!
very cool find with the upgraded bottom end
I agree, the TriHard Duster is a good project name.
Dude! Nice score on the motor! Truly enjoy your content! Keep up the great work and thank you for the entertainment!
I really like the montage with voiceover style of the last couple videos. Great stuff!
Glad you like them!
Nooo I'm so sad I i didn't get to fd seattle now! Only like 15 miles away 😢 Hope you had a good time Jared!
🎉🎉🎉🎉 what great luck! In that little light duster that is going to be one fun ride.
Love ya Jared. Excited for the next installment.
Just ran across your channel, although the late model drivetrain isn’t my thing it’s a pretty impressive build you’ve taken on. Was kinda surprised to see the 5 speed going in as opposed to a T56 but still a great upgrade. Kept waiting to see you break out the dial indicator and magnetic base but it didn’t show up in this episode. Hopefully you’ll go thru the process for the folks who are interested in a 5 speed swap but it’s absolutely detrimental for a manual trans to be properly located/ centered with the crank. Maybe you’ve already gone thru it but hopefully you’ll show it in another episode. With any decent amount of horsepower having a trans that isn’t running parallel with the centerline of the crank almost always proves to be catastrophic for the input shaft. Along the same lines it also kills bearings, 4th gear and synchros/blocker rings.
Sorry for the long winded comment, really enjoyed this episode and looking forward to seeing more of this project. Good luck with it going forward. 👍
This is a brilliant watch ! Loving this build
Love the Channel and excited for future builds!!!!
Super cool that it's a 426! Fingers crossed that it's good to go.
hey jarred! congrats on reaching 400 000 subscribers!!! 👍 and it looks like the car gods gave you a reward for it by sneaking in that monster built hemi to surprise you!!!
Thank you!
wow heck of a score on that HEMI!
The opening was epic, keep doing that, totally pro.
Cant wait to see that 7 liter beast roasting tires . Very cool .
Might be worth taking the head covers off, it might have some more goodies! Congratulations on you pit crew job, maybe next time you're driving!
What a legend big fella keep up the excellent work on the duster.
Yay! From the heading and some sad previous surprises... I was thinking a cracked block or scored cylinders. But who woulda' thunk when you stuck in your thumb, you'd pull out an extra 56 cubic inches! What is that, an extra 100 horses and 100 foot pounds of torque? I guess the welding tips you got from watching Kurtis at CEE will be put to the test. That little Duster frame is going to get some exercise! Those sub frame "compacts" of the Era can tolerate a fair amount of abuse, but there's limits. A friend back in the day, bought a brand new Nova SS 396 with a 4 speed. After some hard driving and some body twisting, he went out and invested in some after market strengthening.
Win ner!, win ner!, double chicken din ner! My bet would be either Manley rods or Carillo from the look of the beams. Awesome! It ought to make Triple Crown's first event very interesting. And there used to be some really neat SCCA sort of pieces for the A chassis dressed as a Barracuda in the Direct Connection Catalog.
With 3 sets of clutches floating around. Consider color coating various makes parts to prevent mixing up parts when rushing to swap drivetrains
That track is in my hometown where I grew up!!
Jared, just wanting to say I love everything about your channel. Keep up the questionable choices!
Holy smokes.
. This is AWESOME!!
Triple threat. That's a good name for it.
Congrats to 400.000. 🥳
Jared, you need an Angelo's Gym shirt from Tony Angelo with the way you put that transmission in. 😂
what a kick!
thanks for the fun...
My father got lucky like that back in the seventies when he blew up the engine in his 68 Torino GT fastback. He bought a totaled Mustang with a 302 which turn out to be a rebuilt boss 302, all for $100. You have to love those deals.
12:30 - Had to run to the back and behind that blanket to Jack (the mounts) off, ahahahahaha
426 stroker?! HELL YEAH! That's a SPICY meatball!
Thank you for keeping the content coming! Didn’t have to wait a month between videos like somebody else. Are you going to put some creature comforts back into it?
If a seat and air freshener are creature comforts, absolutely
Swamp butt can be a real threat here in the south
I only get bad surprises...you got a good surprise. I'm a little jealous.
That's a very nice surprise! This is going to be epic to see compete in the three different classes! :D
this is my new favorite channel , cheers from Australia 👍
Glad you enjoy it!
Great video as always. You are an awesome mechanic. God bless
Much prefer the voice overs with the timelapses. Keep it up! 😊
My first time working on a Tremic T56 (one of my most fav manual transmissions of all time...) I was like "huh... ATF fluid?!?" and yup, seems to be all Tremic's i've seen/worked on over the years, its all ATF...
Brother, you are an automotive beast! You motivate me to get wrenching!
You can do it!
Always a great pleasure to see your videos!!!!
Are you going to check the concentricity of the bell housing with the crank and use offset dowel pins if needed? Tremec usually requires that.
I will go over that with the steel bellhousing, as they are the biggest culprits. Although‘technically’ they are running for such a relative short time they would be ok, and then I would need to measure the hemi for the long term. I have actually never needed to offset an aluminum bellhousing, the casting and cnc process dials them in amazing.
@@TheQuestionableGarage I am going to check my setup soon. I am building a mild gen 3 hemi stroker (370 ci) with an aluminum Mopar nv4500 bell housing and a tremec tr4050 4x4 trans for my 2004 Ram. Hopefully it is close!
Enjoyed the picture show 😊
This serious is great. Keep it up!
Looking forward to the next video.
Before weeks end!
Respect for building a basket case duster.
