- For over 40 years, British sculptor Antony Gormley's work has focused on what it feels like to inhabit the human body. From intimate sculptures casting his own form and collaborative community projects to architecture explorations on a grand scale, his work can be seen around the world on shorelines and clifftops, tower blocks and in cathedrals. Influenced by the dialogue between arts and the spiritual, anthropology and science, he asks questions about our place in the world.
I really really love his art bc it has this deepness but idk how to write a class test about him tomorrow
I feel u 😂
Samee haha
Sameee 😭😂

Love Anthony Gormley’s work. Makes me give more thought to my own bodily existence.
He has the ability to present the emperor fully clothed and more to the point the audience is in a frenzy to believe. A job well done.
True that!
I always appreciated his approach of researching exploring and being engaged in dialogue between human and environment , I find his art cerebral art focusing mostly on scaling ,landscape density and form
Collective engagement became literally part of production process in the corse of his career
Oh my I saw his art , when I stay in BIG SURF in California last 2 months ago on private home from my Hotel Highland INN now call Hyatt INN .
His creative process is his. He executes what he thinks. I like it.
What a great artist!!!
I love his artwork!
I love his work
1:34 It reminded me of _"The Enigma Of Amigara Fault"_ by Junji Ito. How scary :0
amazing!
ideias brilhantes muito bom
wow
We are lucky enough to have some of these sculptures around Norwich's UEA campus at the moment!
Brillant artiste!!!!
Such an amazing artist. Im here from connect_bts project. Glad to be introduced to such incredible masterpieces 💜
One again the ubiquitous background sounds of music in the presentation and questions arising.
For what? by whom ? Is sound just as much a part of landscape as static solid art ?
What of the people with sight loss? Is sound of the changing weather part of the installations ?
Are installations inclusive to anybody? Can spectators go away and do the same elsewhere?
Who owns the coastline?
Put one here please
22:37 reminds me Hayao Miyazaki
super art✌
O wow wow wow
live 2 mins away from angel of the north
will MF self yessssss!!!!!!
I’m the same person.
hmm....so would not any sculpture of any human be "The Body as a Found Object"? I mean the sculpture itself...the actual "thing" is an object, therefore it is by default is a "found object" no?
I definitely like the thoughtful placement of his sculptures more than the idea of the body being a "found object" though.
Lul
Fundamental.
The brown nose critics will always worship the form of whatever it my be, change the name artist place object ,it's still the same thing., any way nice work Mr artist👍
So would we call his work "Public Art"
this guy is weird. In my opinion.
I love how talking about Art can make absolutely anybody sound like a tosser.
So much. When I read artist statements I feel I am reading a script for Saturday Night Live.
I know its so funny- we just lack language to talk about ephemeral ideas without it

Where is my comment.gone
Wow! 10:43 - finally someone arranging words into something sensible (and poking fun at all the pompous artsy-babble). What is he dong here?
Hes saying that the science inspired sculpture is interacting with the space, so it makes you notice the space that you might ignore. You may notice the little quirks of the sculpture as you walk up. The acceptance of mystery bit just before, is talking about how its open to interpretation and you may project your feelings and dreams onto the sculpture. ie feeling tangled in it, or like you can climb up into the light
I make a statue
plop it on some land
and call it a
community totem.
Take away all of the mental masturbation, and some of his art is pretty cool.
CULTURAL MARXISM
I think those "art experts" are just making things up :) haha. I think if you need people to explain using sophisticated words for common people, its likely not meant for our understanding nor enjoyment
