Brogdon probably only getting seconds, unless you get some luck at the deadline. Totally possible but a big risk. He could also just get hurt, not get traded, and just walk in free agency next summer. Brogdon is a big gamble. But y'all got enough picks, and enough young guys behind him that the trade makes sense

its a good haul...deni likely maxes out as a good/very good 4th player on a playoff team. knowing his timeline doesn't match their rebuild [rookie contracts don't match], it makes good sense

I just wanted to add another angle to this discussion: IMO, Deni thrives in motion and excels in high-paced offenses that are based on ball movement. He will look to pass before he looks for a shoםt. Hopefully, he'll be able to connect with Scoot and Donovan Clingan and receive the coaching staff's support to form a nucleus that would change the Blazers style of play to become less "iso-dependent.".

I can understand both sides in this trade. Wizards aren't planning to be good in the next 4 years, so Deni with his 4 year contract is just a stock. You sell a stock when you think it's in the pick or close. I think they are worng and Deni value will be higher, but i can understand the logic.
Would def make more sense keeping him another year or even two, but I suppose trade offers on Kuz were not as attractive so...

Yes therefore i can say it's maybe a mistake but it isn't a dumb move. If Kuzma stays, they need minutes to Bilal and Sar development, and i think Poole is going to be much more dominant (to my opinion it's bad), so Deni might won't be better. Deni probably couldn't be a star in Washington, but he might be in Portland (if JG and Ant are in trades, he might be the main player next year, and i guess thats Mike Schmitz plan).

Most Blazers fans are super nice because they live in rural Oregon or suburban Portland, the rude mean people live inside the city and hate sports as "toxic masculinity" except Soccer because that's European not American so its OK with the comrades. We got 2 FRP’s (one turned into Bub), 2 SRP’s, and Brogdon who we could flip for more and we got rid of a guy who always posting stuff supporting a country actively killing innocents with him having a giant fanbase who constantly supporting that country too. This is an even trade on the basketball level for us and it makes us morally sound as well. Huge dub for the Wiz.
