Thank you for this! I’m not only in debt, I’m on disability. But I want to make art, write, and have a RUclips channel. I’m allowed to make some money and keep my benefits, so if I’m successful enough to monetize in some way, that would be ok. (I don’t expect to make enough to turn this into a small business, my health won’t make dedicating the time necessary for that to be possible.)
I’m going to review my budget to see how I can save more, and have some money for art/writing/YT expenses. During my formative years, my family drilled into me the idea that it was not acceptable for me to do things I wanted to do because I was passionate about them. I’m in my 50s now and starting to realize that’s bs. Your including RUclips as a line item in your budget made me realize that I don’t have that in mine. Plus, your logical approach to paying down your debt was so helpful - I’m saying to myself, “Why didn’t I think of it that way?”
I’m just glad it could help someone else! It’s nice sometimes getting a different point of view
