  • My pal Mike picked up this little Honda generator for me, during our community's "Large Item Pickup" event. Obviously, we have no idea what's up with it, but it was thrown out for a reason! Then again, it's a Honda. 'Nuff said! If I can resurrect it, it'll sure be handy to have around!
    Be sure to give a listen to ‪@parsonsghost5112‬!

    Cheers!

    Always handy to have a little generator like those for an outing with the fam. Nice job on the repair. Bet you buddy Mike will enjoy have a working generator come back. Be safe and stay well.

      He GAVE me the generator! He's always finding things like that for his friends, I think it's what brings him joy...I'll sure enjoy having it around, and of course if he has need of one he knows who to talk to!

    Hey ShopKat, good stuff ! I learn from an ol Master Mechanic on small engine repairs. He used Torch Tip Cleaner set for getting the jets unplugged and other inlets on a small carb . The torch cleaning tips are the right size for most jets and stiffer then the copper wire . Always enjoy you channel . Take It Easy....

      For sure! I think they'd still be a bit large for these guys, they were TINY. I have an Amazon small engine carb tool kit and the wires in that are much too large as well. Next time I'm at the hardware store I'll see what they have for brass wire! Cheers!

    Once you've gone to the trouble of taking out the carb, which I usually try to avoid as I've said, it's usually worth cleaning out more than the main jet as there is usually an emulsion tube under it and often an idle jet, which effects full speed mixture if clogged. Once the carb and the little wires are all out and ready, it's usually worth cleaning all 3. I'm not sure I would have used a parts washer, depending on time, but I would have done a bit more cleaning.

      Bread tie! I always forget that trick...but I'm pretty sure we don't have any in the house. Next time I buy something electrical I'll hoard the little black twist ties!

    Can't beat a honda generator, the newer ones have an overload circuit that pops when overloaded, you just shut it off and it resets itself. That heat gun was definitely too much wattage for the 650...😅

      @ShopKatIndustries  4 месяца назад +1

      Especially when I accidentally put the heat gun straight on High and not Low lmao!!

    You collect enough of them and get them running SK you could start your own powerplant!😉

      Not likely! Don't get me wrong, they're kind of neat in a way (except that barfy Cybertruck!) but they're a long ways out of my price range lol. There's an operator at my work who charges his there, which seems to me like taxpayers footing his commuting expenses...but I'd do the same lol
