    In the 1990s with a Bounty Hunter detector with target ID/discrimination/4 tones I could make enough in coins each day for at least a 12 pack of beer, gas, and smokes. At one old baseball field behind the fence behind home plate I found 20 bucks in quarters and dimes the first day in one hour and 17 in one hour on day two. Similar results at old fair grounds and bars with deep gravel parking lots. I found 30 coins in my new trashy rural yard when I tested my Vanquish 340. I got a big discount on it...a return. It detected a quarter accurately...29 number...next to a huge rusty nail, so I had no problems in the trash with it. It`s VERY cold here in central Louisiana and ice is predicted soon! I put out 4 pounds of seeds, thawed water, and lard for body heat for the birds, sardines for stray cats, and dog food for the raccoons. I live in a very rural area and try to help all the animals here.

    I am looking for some gold rings I have lost. I have the White's Spectra V3i and the Minelab Equinox 800. Which is best for finding gold jewelry?
    I had not turned the Equinox 800 on for quite a while. It comes on (without the coil on the machine) and it says C d and then it turns off? I have the 10" Double D, and the 12", and the 4 X 6 shooter for the V3i which would be the best for the V3i. I have the coil that came with the Equinox 800. Which of these two machines is best for finding gold jewelry, rings. Thanks!

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak
      @PaystreakSuperfreak  8 месяцев назад +1

      Probably many rare or error coins in these piles....but lets understand these coins have been in the ground. Rare coins are very valuable in mint or uncirculated condition, valuable in circulated condition and worth face value if they were dug from the ground. Silver and gold coins are a different story because they do not deteriorate in the ground. Our soil here is not kind to copper.

I need to schedule some videos to post for the next week just in case we lose power.

    zinc pennies sometimes look like coppers and coppers sometimes look like zincs but you generally can tell just by look.
    i went through all my zincs looking for coppers recently

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak
      @PaystreakSuperfreak  8 месяцев назад

      When they are covered in dust...it is hard to tell them apart. I might soak the pennies in water for a day rinse them and then let them dry out in the sun on a hot summer day. I might separate the zinc from the copper on a hot summer day. Copper pennies will be valuable in a few years.

    How do you find enough sites to dig as much as you do? Do you just keep going out to parks further and further out from where you live?

    • @PaystreakSuperfreak
      @PaystreakSuperfreak  8 месяцев назад +1

      We hunt in many cities within a 30 mile drive form us. We have probably 60 different parks and 50 different schools we detect at least once a month. We detect some parks many times per week. We have project areas in several parks. We just hit the same spots again and again and again. We stay in our city for the bulk of our detecting. I have been detecting the parks in my area for 30 years and still find many jewelry hotspots that are not evident or obvious. Back on the 90's there was so many coins. Coins are not nearly as bountiful because the parks here are hammered by so many detectorist.

  • @bradloy25
    @bradloy25 8 месяцев назад

    I found 172 rings in 2023 and I don’t come close to as much detecting as you do! I’ve always wondered how much money is buried in the ground and if you had the time and resources you could eventually become a millionaire just by metal detecting. Obviously not possible for one person.
