The reason Ned told Jon that he would tell him about his mother the next time they see eachother is because the by next time they see eachother, Jon would be sworn into the Nights Watch. Therefore any claim on the throne would be knull and he would no longer be a threat to Robert
Look closely at Littlefinger's smile, Uncle Benjin's smile and the arrival of Jon A Targaryen alone in the world, that is a terrible thing
If you read the books, be cautious. The books end where season 5 ended, with Jon's death. George has not finished writing them and he may never finish. I don't know if you want to read something only to be left with a cliffhanger?

giving D&D the absolute rights to the show was a BIG mistake.. when they got tired of it they should have passed it on to someone more dedicated and let it be filmed and ended properly instead of in this mad rush and plot cuts
