@@michaeltuvell5591 after the near instant chemistry he showed with Smith as the Prospect Scrimmage.. might have to put them on their own PP line. Heck.. Musty can play 9 games in the NHL this year before his contract kicks in. We might just see a preview this season.
London Knight here from London ON and I love that you talked about Sam Dickinson! The guy has been a stud on our blue line and I can't wait to see him get drafted somewhere in the top 10. The guy is going to be a great addition wherever he goes.
I have a Season ticket to the Knights, they are ALWAYS worth the price of admission! They always play great, they play hard, physical, gutsy and flashy, if they have a weak period, they are usually better the next and fix their issues. They also have MILES of depth. They have no clear superstars though, just a good baseline of talent that get's the job done, with tons of memorable skaters that score, like Cowan, Barkey, Bonk, Gazizov, Haultanen, Julien, Lawrence, Sim, McCue, O'Rielly and Dickinson
@@un9ty It's a team where you don't know who is going to score next! The highest scorer only had 36 goals, but there were almost 10 players with over 20 goals! The Habs need another talented forward though I don’t dislike the possibility of drafting another stud defenceman especially if it’s a best player available situation. I do think a lot of Hab fans and media will be puzzled if they don’t pick up a forward when last year they drafted Reinbacher instead of Michkov.
THG, off topic, but what are your thoughts, opinions about having 2 of the following (or all three!) on the same day / weekend in the same venue (place)? : the annual NHL draft, the annual NHL award ceremony and the annual NHL Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Is it possible? Maybe just 2 of the three? Hypothetically, would this work? Yes, the HoF ceremony would have to be changed to the summer, it anything were to happen. Would this discussion / topic be worthy of time and effort for a separate video? What are your thoughts?
The hall of fame has no affiliation with the NHL, so it wouldn't work. The awards show isn't happening this year, looks like they finally got rid of it. The awards show was usually long winded and pretty boring. The draft is really fun and should have the undivided attention of the hockey world for that two days.
@@TheHockeyGuy I agree about the NHL award ceremony being boring and long winded, but if it were combined with the HoF induction, it would make it a neat event to attend.
They're two different organizations though. It's not the NHL Hall of Fame and regularly inducts people who didn't play a game in the league itself, but earned their status with play elsewhere.
As a Utah fan, I'm pulling to us to grab him at 6. I expect Montreal to take someone like Catton. They already have an abundance of defensive talent. I think it's between Silayev and Dickinson for Utah, but I would go with Dickinson. He has a more complete game while also being decently tall, which GMBA likes. I don't think Silayev's size is as important since they're both big.
I always like these young defs who are manly size. If they have stick and skate skills you can later bring in the physical side. Opposite rarely does when speaking of future top def men.
I have Dickinson going 4th to Columbus because they could really use a defenseman that can both play big minutes and produce solid points, Though I can't rule out the possibility that Dickinson later than i have him projected.
I always find it funny when GM's of teams that have been terrible for a decade get credit for building an exciting young team. How hard is it to draft good players with high picks, accumulate extra draft picks by taking on bad contracts and signing veterans for 1 year and moving at the trade deadline? Give me or anyone else that time and formula, and it would be almost impossible not to build a good team.
After hearing Shark's selected Sam, i had to hear what Shannon had to say.
Same here, Money Mike is cooking
Yup!
I never thought he was a possibly, so I didn't do much research.
Same with Celebrini.
Dickenson, Celebrini, Eklund, Smith on a PP. Once they build their chemistry, that could be scary.
don't count out Musty !

I started watching the Knights this year because of Bonk and Barkey as a flyers fan. What a great team to watch.

@coastaku1954 Agreed, they never disappoint. Great depth is better than having 1 or 2 superstars.

Future Sharks legend
Something to watch while on the throne.
Can you put handedness on the board too?

A steal at 11th for the Sharks. G move to slide up from 14th. Glad the Pen's 14th pick didn't slide to the 2025 draft

maybe trade Jets first and bacher for a pick between the 7-9 range and we get Iginla

@@leagueidiot3052 I’m all for getting another top 10 pick but Reinbacher ain’t going anywhere imo unless for a monstrous deal
I'm a habs fan and if a player like Dickinson falls to 5, meaning Celibrini + Demidov + Lindstrom are out, I think you HAVE to pick him!
Dickinsons a great 2 way Defensemen, really stands out when you watch London Knights games
His first name is Sam so of course he's going to be great 😁
have a good day sam!
If the Knights win the Mem Cup, Marc Methot and Sam Dickinson will have more in common than they do already!

I think there are 3 or 4 defensemen that would get drafted ahead of Dickinson.
Habs having too many good defensemen might not be ideal. But it’s better than having literally none like the Leafs 😢
Dickinson's career is over if he gets drafted by the clueless Minnesota Mild.

Shannon has a favourite team in 3 of the 4 divisions, but the Metro division doesn't show a Shannon favourite. Could it be the Penguins, though?
Jamie Drysdale 2.0
