    Great video….and thanks for turning music off while you talked. I had no trouble hearing you at all. Did the queen finally come out? How long before they were cleared out and in hive?

    I had a another idea and I thought of connecting the box to the hole and make the bee's pass thru the box to get out maybe they would like the box more space

    Can one direct the cone exit straight into the hive box entrance?

    • @carpsbees
      @carpsbees  4 месяца назад

      The trick is to ensure that it's a one-way exit they have trouble navigating that tiny hole made out of wire screen so if you rest it on something and they can walk back in that's not going to work... But there's lots of ways to do things so I could curious to what others have to say

    Great job on this setup!
    Like the video as well.
    Was the trap out successful?

    Yeah, great idea just seen my first trap out video. I guess I’m trying to figure out. How will the queen just abandon all of her brood and I would guess if there’s no bees in there or no forager, will she leave and head on out?

    • @carpsbees
      @carpsbees  10 месяцев назад +1

      That's the idea... once not enough bees are around to attend to her I think she gets the message to come out. It doesn't always work... but if you have no other options :-) Good luck!

    What size is your hardware cloth? Smaller than 1/4 in?

    How bees come out from tree?
    You had disturbed them by given smoke?
    Please explain how they leaved their previous place?

    • @carpsbees
      @carpsbees  Год назад +3

      The bees leave through the tiny screen hole to go forage and cannot navigate back into the hole so they get trapped outside of the tree so they look for a place to stay … that’s why you put a nuc or hive box close by … once enough bees leave, the whole colony might leave including the queen; it can take several days or even several weeks so have patience and you have to be absolutely 100% sure they don’t find any other way back in to the hive with in the tree
