My record is myself 15 positions overtaken from p18 to 3rd. I started p18, when just came shorth of making qualifying time, while in single player I had raced in that track with thoese cars so I could do it, when it was the Le Mans track with Le Mans cars five laps and it was group D, while highest I have got was the start of group B and it was in Gran Turismo sport. I got the white Mazda car that got very good full speed, while the other Le Mans cars like the Audi, Toyota or Porche got very good acceleration, so after every corner they accelerate so much forward, but in the end of long straight I just go past with my superior top speed. In the back many went out of the track, because could not drive with thoese cars that track, so it was easy overtakes, but in front then with better lap times I gained them. In fourth lap there was hilarous situation where two Audis where fighting eachother who were like p6 and p5 and I just went with my top speed straight through both of them to claim p5 to myself and so made in every lap some overtakes with getting the p3 in last lap, while the two leaders of the race were just gone over 7 seconds ahead me and the leader like over 10 second ahead me, so I could not catch them anymore, but it was fun race to me making through the whole race so many overtakes.
One time I got in oval racing with the Mitushbishi car from p12 to 1st with driving it just smart taking use of the slipstream and having the right racing lines with getting infront in the end.
This part of the video had me burst out laughing in our offices 🤣... on the plus side, I had an audience watching the rest of the video with me. Surely new subscribers after this 👍
Thanks for all the nostalgia, sir. Grew up walking around this track, and hearing about it plenty more from my dad, who spent a good 20 years before my birth doing various things at "The Glen". I miss his stories, but he'd be damn gratified that so many young people from all over the world enjoy it as much as he did.
My dad has similar stories about the nearby Texas Motor Speedway. Hopefully one day there'll be a game with his old Corvette that he and I can rip around that track 🙏

This is probably the best Daily Race that’s been added so far. It’s so fun, and Watkin’s Glen is such an amazing track. Despite Everyone using the M6 and Genesis, I found that the Z4 and the Renault R.S. are also good cars to use for this race.
Heya Steve, have you seen the new camera view they stealthy added? While viewing a replay, switch to the chase cam, then you can smoothly pan around w/ the right* thumb stick. Almost looks like drone footage. Cheers!
I honestly didn't think much of it till I used it in the reply and switching to opponents cars as I come up to them then panning as I go past just add so much more to the replays for me.

Watkins Glen was a great addition to GT7, I've been having a lot of fun this week. FYI, in the BMW it saves about a tenth if you stay in 5th gear all the way up the straight into the bus stop.
I’m seriously always amazed with your commitment to your channel, editing, and production quality like it’s honestly amazing all of it the deadpan humor while also giving us a really nice does of highly competitive driving and commentary I appreciate it a lot I don’t even have a PlayStation 5 I have a series x but every time I watch these videos I want a ps and a wheel sooooo bad definitely my next couple of goals for sure thanks again you deserve many more subs based on dedication alone I hope your channel, gran tourismo, and hopefully forza continue to grow and improve
I like Watkins Glen for sure, but I would never pick this track as one of my favourites. One of the reasons why we enjoy it so much is because we haven't seen a completely new track added to Gran Turismo for a really long time. Last 2 addictions of GT Sport were Spa and Laguna Seca. Both were known from previous GT games so it wasn't that much hype into it. Now we finally have something completely new and enjoy racing there despite the lack of overtaking opportunities.
Thank you for the amazing video as always Steve! You literally inspired me to make my own videos on karting so thank you very much for all the work you put in! 🙌🏾❤️
An absolutely glorious race by the ultimate racing driver once again! Also, along the back straight it's better to stay in 5th and not shift into 6th to maintain acceleration - just a tip.
Thats what I've noticed more often too is that at the Toe drivers are overdriving it in the center of the turn and wrecking. And here I thought turn 1 and the bus stop was carnage 😂 but this track is so easy and its been tons of fun since the update! Great racing out there Super GT 🙌

The first time with the Viper (de-powered by the BoP), a BMW threw me off the road by divebombing, and I ended 12th. So I tried the race again with another car, the 650S (Mclaren), and managed to finish third! I managed to gain position also thanks to some spinning cars on the circuit and an excellent calculation on consumption and tire changes. *Booyah!*
