@@425wester Yes, you can use an OBD splitter. You'll then select NO OBD mode in the PedalMonster's mobile app menu. This will deactivate the OBD communication so there are no conflicts in data transfer. Most modern ECMs do now have the bandwidth to talk to two diagnostic devices at the same time.
2022 6.7. Just installed on a bone stock truck and I’m super impressed. It just makes the power that the truck has naturally available so much faster. If I didn’t know what it was I would swear it has more horsepower. Great work by Banks.
I just installed the Banks Derringer tuner along with the PM with Idash on the 23rd (just in time for xmas) on my 2015 6.7 Powerstroke. Took about an hour all install all of it just taking my time and paying lots of attention to where Im routing my cables. Apparently the PM and Derringer are designed to work together I went with Banks for the same reasons you did after much research. I will say from a complete dead stop Its not gonna throw you back in the seat due to the lag but once it starts moving it will chirp thru 2nd and 3rd etc etc plenty of power all the way thru even tho. Im running mud tires as well 295/65/20s. Im happy with it will probably keep the PM in city at about 8 and the derringer at about a 3 out of 6 for its power.
Another happy Pedal Monster user, it’s awesome, pedal mush is gone. My 2017 Cummins is now faster of the line than my old 2005 Duramax. Which considering how much more hp and torque my high output Cummins has compared to my old lly Duramax it’s encouraging.
I have the BD throttle sensitivity booster I’m running max effort tuning with 100% over injectors 12mm cp3 2nd gen swap s472 truck is a manual with a valair triple disc and all supporting mods. I want to get the banks one for the added adjustability but yes get one for sure well worth the money people that have anything negative to say about these never had one it will put a big smile on your face without a doubt
I am on number 2 now and still having issues. First one drained my battery and the lights on it were on even when the truck was shut off, does yours stay on or turn off? Second one doing the same thing
John, because it’s designed to dump more fuel to get rid of “dead pedal” and turbo lag you’ll use more fuel than you originally using. If you put it in the lowest setting, your fuel mileage will stay the same. It’s not gonna save you fuel, it’ll dump more fuel on demand .
If I’m not mistaken, the Pedal Commander plugs inline with your gas pedal. Problem with that is, that particular connection is set so that it draws a certain amount of power so when you plug in the Pedal Commander it draws to much power and will cause the PC to fail. When the PC fails, because it’s inline with your gas pedal, your gas pedal fails with it and you have to pull over and unplug the unit and plug your gas pedal back into its original connection. The Banks Unit plugs into your OBD2 which can handle a bunch of power draw. Also, because it’s plugged into the OBD2 port, it collects accurate fuel data and you’ll get a better throttle response because of it. If the Banks unit happens to fail (I haven’t heard of any failures) you don’t lose throttle. Your vehicle will just go back to its original throttle response and you just keep going and address the issue later. The Banks unit will not leave a “footprint” for warranty purposes. You just unplug and it virtually was never there. There are a lot of differences between the two. I recommend The Banks Pedal Monster over the Commander for these reasons and a few others.
@@85Gute Thank you for your feedback. I've always used the Pedal commander in all my gasser vehicles. I just got a Cummings last week and the diesel world is new to me. My 3500 defiantly is "slow" or has a lag off the line. I need something to give it some pep. I'll keep doing more research.
@@Motleymick No worries. I bought the Banks unit for the purpose of Turbo Lag. I’m really happy with how the Banks unit helps with the lag. Thanks for watching.
Yes, it tells the computer to dump more fuel sooner than it would when stock. So as soon as you push the pedal, you’re getting power. Otherwise it hesitates like most vehicles these days. “Dead pedal”
You put your setting to whatever you like and it’ll stay there. When you turn on your truck the Pedal Monster will connect to your phone via Bluetooth.
How is this holding up for you now? I'm still debating on getting one. I really would rather do a full delete and tune on my 2021, but not while the warranty is still intact.
I still love it. It snowed the other day and the roads were slick so I turned it down to stock. I forgot to put it back up to sport and when the weather cleared and I drove the truck I could immediately tell. It makes a big difference. Got a buddy with a 21’ and he loves the Pedal Monster on his. I’d say do as much homework as you feel necessary before buying it but I highly recommend it.
Like any other performance upgrades, if you get into the throttle, you’ll use more fuel. I haven’t noticed a drastic change in mpg but I also don’t whip my truck around.
The pedal Monster is a performance upgrade so as long as you don’t whip around you fuel mileage will stay the same. If you get into the throttle, you’ll use more fuel. I haven’t towed with it yet. Soon though
Installed mine today and it’s the worst thing ever just installed it and immediately threw my camera system out and no longer works nor my edge cts3 gauge doesn’t work either
I can fully control it with my phone. The I dash has other features that the “Stand Alone” (phone app) doesn’t have. But I can control the settings on my phone.
@@dbcooper6020 for sure. If you’re looking for more power, the Pedal Monster isn’t the thing to use. What it does is just gives more fuel up front so that you don’t have lag. Gives it the illusion that it has more power but it doesn’t.
