    James Street has lots of small eateries at reasonable prices, plus a small Woolworths BEHIND the shops on the main street.

    Highly recommend Burleigh Heads over Surfers Paradise. Less commercial, more old school vibe and more scenic.

    Thank you for showcasing this beautiful city and its local shops and foods I really appreciate it.
    Besides the beach, the city is quite similar to Islamabad.
    And as a cricket fan, I also know that Allan Border, Steve Waugh, and Ricky Ponting, three cricket legends, are from Queensland.

      I remember you asking that you wanted to see more food! You should go and check out Charlotte's other channel - www.youtube.com/@veganexplores - loads of food on there 😉

      My Dad was on the committee of the Qld Cricketer's Club at the Brisbane Gabba during the era of all those greats. My brothers got to go to all the games they held there.

    Just came back from GC and indeed Burleigh heads is now quite a popular spot. 10 in the morning and already could find a parking.

      YES! Oh my gosh, I've just been for a morning cycle up there this morning and there were hundreds of people along the walkways at sunrise! 🤩

    I walk through that track around the headland twice a week for exercise and at the very top where the lookout is there is a porthole in the bush,I have literally seen apparitions of people and babies in there,I have also seen other strange events on that hill,strange but true.I bet you weren’t expecting that in the comments,but I promise you it’s real.😮

    What time of the year were there?
    The sun looks great... is it hot?

    • @Fred-q1x
      @Fred-q1x Месяц назад

      From November to April it will be hot (around 28-30 C degrees). That is also when most holiday makers come. The nicest time is Sep/October or April/May. June to August is also nice but the water will be too cold to swim.

      It's just the way it's going Louisa, I think they can't stop it now. It's starting to feel more and more like a Spanish seaside holiday destination every year!

      Money talks.
      Actually it is more sun safe this way as Australia has a huge hole in the ozone above it and Qld is the skin cancer capital of the world. You cannot just lie in the sun all day unless you want to risk the worst sunburn imaginable and sunstroke.
