Liam and Gem perform an acoustic version of the Oasis song "I'm Outta Time" as part of a radio acoustic session (2008).
Lyrics:
Here's a song
It reminds me of when we were young
Looking back at all the things we'd done
You gotta keep on keeping on
Out to sea It's the only place I honestly
Can get myself some peace of mind
You know it's getting hard to fly
If I'm to fall
Would you be there to applaud
Or would you hide behind them all?
'Cause if I am to go In my heart you'd grow
And that's where you belong
If I'm to fall
Would you be there to applaud
Or would you hide behind them all?
'Cause if I am to go In my heart you'd grow
And that's where you belong
If I'm to fall
Would you be there to applaud
Or would you hide behind them all?
'Cause if I am to go In my heart you'd grow
And that's where you belong
Guess I'm outta time
I'm outta time
I'm outta time
I'm outta time
I'm outta time
His young voice is unreal, but theres something about his voice being a bit worn out in this that i like. I think it makes the song more powerful as a realisation that oasis was dying.
To me this song is about Liam reflecting on his life and career. I believe he is talking about how if he wasnt the singer he used to be would we still love him? A little bit of an homage too with Live Forever. It's like the opposite of it, especially with the line, "You know it's getting hard to fly."
For the life of me, I can't understand why they didn't just drop the tuning a half/whole tone in the later Oasis years on tour. Liam's still got the voice but just not the range he had when he was 22 & is constantly putting strain his vocal chords.
that's not fair. A melancholic song reminiscing the past on a video of the Gallaghers' past. The feeling intensifies
God I love Liam
Im outta time >>>>wonderwall
Tour killed Liam's voice. Studio,untouchable!
I love Liams voice fading because it was a metaphor that oasis was slowly fading away through the years
Keep on keeping on people. The good souls of this world know what a total one off this guy is and how misunderstood he is by practically everybody.
if only he had his amazing voice from 93 to this song would sound soo goooooood!
This song is proof that Liam can write some brilliant stuff. This is a really, really good tune.
I never get tired to hear this acoustic version of Liam...
Liam's best tune.
such an underrated song, this is amazing
I hope someday Liam & Noel come together again, perhaps at Noel's concert and perform this live.
The best rockstar in the world Liam Gallagher you're the heart of oasis
This is my favorite version of this song. It feels like Liam knew his relationship with Noel was unrepairable. He knew his voice was fading. He knew the end of Oasis was coming.
The voice Liam had during this period suits this beautiful song. It sounds damaged, more mature and heartfelt. Aside from the forced live singing I prefer this voice over his younger voice.
This will be the theme to his funeral. Live forever LG!
I adore the resemblance of irony and the sequin of his notify self. Sparks my past into a shadowy present.
