I don't think I will ever have as much fun watching the original movie or any future Howard the Duck movie as I've had listening to you and HDTGM talk about it and seeing your honest trailer on it.

Not to get all dark but: I made my grandpa take me to go see Howard the Duck in the theater on opening weekend when I was 12. He never let me live that afternoon down. He joked about it for years, every bad movie he saw got the same review, “at least it’s better than Howard The Duck.” He was in hospice care when GotG came out and when I visited and told him he’d lived long enough for Howard the Duck to return to movie screens his response was “yep, time to go!” That was the last time I saw him, he hated this film and joked with me about it all the way to the end. I’m sure somewhere he’s laughing his ass off at your honest trailer. Thanks for this one guys.

This has got to be the funniest commentary ever. Dan can't even show his face. He is losing it.
This is one of the best commentaries in a long time. And "aphrodisi-quack" was another really underrated pun from Joe.
The Honest Trailer is brilliant, but somehow this Commentary is funnier!
I could watch a 20 minute episode of Dan, Spencer and Joe doing George Lucas impressions.

The breakdown of Nostalgia Critic, Epic Meal Time, and Hot Ones at the end was hilarious.
The "pizza rolls" bit was also a reference to Red Letter Media.
Also the "ding" is cinema sins
Funny enough, Howard the duck was done by the nostalgia critic in 2008, it was one of his best early reviews.
That stop-motion monster at the end of the movie is great. Nobody can take that away from the movie.
Killer shirt, Joe! Love it! Spencer asking if ducks are mammals made laugh so hard I had to pause. It reminded me of the JCVD-Dutch-Belgium discussion when you were doing Predator. They're birds, Spencer. They're birds ;)

This movie definitely falls into "it's so bad it's good" territory. I bought the DVD as soon as it was released because I had the VHS and it was worn out. This movie is awesome to put on for friends who have never seen it before.

I remember going to see this with my best friend when it was released in theatres. We laughed so much, just non-stop pretty much! " What the F are we watching!" To do this day it is a highlight of my film going experience. I will never forget it and thus it holds a special place in my heart.

Let it be known that in 2018, people went to 70mm Howard the Duck screenings in Portland Or and Seattle Wa. I don't know why we can see that in 70mm but not Empire Strikes Back.

Howard the Duck is one of my fav fun 80s movies & the soundtrack (both orchestral & Thomas Dolby) are pretty awesome.
If Endgame brings back their dead characters, the Alan Raptor should also be brought back.

If you guys are like me, when I watched this as a kid, it was the version I recorded off TV (back when they'd show movies at like noon on a Saturday) on the VCR, which may be why I don't remember all the adult-ish stuff.
Agree! It does make me laugh though and I surprise my friends with this movie on movie nights. Nobody is a fan, but we have great time ripping it apart.
The Captain America serial (1944) was a theatrical release. As serial is neither a short nor a TV series.

Just to clarify things, but Steve Gerber (the aforementioned creator of Howard the Duck) hasn't really ripped apart the movie because he's been dead for 11 years. But all signs point to YES, he hated it.
Actually Steve Gerber did commented on the 80's Howard the Duck film. Un-surprisingly, he does dislike this film. Which is not hard to see why. The 80's Howard the Duck film has nothing to do with the original Howard the Duck comics(Well, the exceptions of few references and nods of the comics, but that's it).
