Can I say wow. I always said to myself if you are an actor don't you want to show range by being someone you're not? This young man is so good, so honest, and so strong in his endeavors, I celebrate him. I also celebrate that show because it is .... everything. He truly took so many words out of my mouth… not only is he a great actor (and played the hell out of this role), you can tell he is just a truly genuine human being who is more than comfortable in his skin and wants the world to be a better place for all! Applause to this amazing new actor that I will be watching for (hopefully) years to come

J. Alphonse Nicholson acting is stellar! His range from Madam CJ Walker to P Valley to a few other projects I saw him, I believe when you are a lover of the Arts, exploring different ranges in one's comfortably is key as well as what one wants to add to their legacy. The fact that J. Alphonse has people believing he may be "bi" or "gay" shows that he is doing his job! Can't wait for season 3

I watched the P Valley, was a good show. Thats some serious acting being a heterosexual man playing gay scenes. Regardless, I think you show was action packed and full of drama, also entertaining. I wonder if there will be a 3rd season, the ending on the 2nd season left a lot up in the air.
Starz gave season 3 a green light, so it's coming. Probably won't be back, until September or October this year.

If an actor can generate that much controversy, then he has succeeded in transforming himself into his character. Just like Denzel did in Training Day, when his character was killed at the end, I was like "yeah that's what your dirty ass gets." And that was Denzel, so J. Alphonse Nicholson, keep mastering your craft because you're definitely on your way.
He is amazing … his outlook on this very tough subject is everything!!! And he is very easy on the eyes 😊
I struggled watching the sex scenes .. I’ll be honest I forwarded all of those parts. Good acting… he played it so well!

Honestly, In my opinion I have nothing against nor do I hate a person that chooses to go or be "Gay" whether it's male or female. One thing I will say is that just because I don't accept the fact that someone is that way will never make me hate them in any way. Yes, I totally agree that every one has their own decisions in choosing whatever sexuality they "Wants". On the other hand, I do feel as if being an actor you are going to be called to play many roles whether it's comfortable to the public or not I feel as if that's the whole part about acting. My summary of P-Valley, I feel as J. Alphones Nicholson and Nicco Annan are Black men from the Black community and should be setting examples for our young black men. It's really a twist because I enjoyed the whole P-valley show, and If people would stop focusing on the small details and look at the whole big picture and realize that every small story in this show had a message to it. It crazy for anyone to say anything bad because hell there were also girls have sex together so, I would say they should be setting examples as well. Anyways, I loved all the actors that played in this show from the beginning of the season to the end. My favorites were J. Alphonse and Brandee Evans

Lol Yo, lgbtq+ people have played straight characters for the longest time and were closeted in real life. 🤷🏾♂️ The entertainment landscape is changing and reflecting what’s always existed in plain sight - Black stories, Asian stories, lgbtq stories, Latine stories, etc. So it’s not that odd to see straight people playing lgbtq roles these days (and it’s definitely been done a few times over). there are many heterosexual actors, both men and woman, who say that kissing on the set is awkward and that there is nothing remotely exciting about kissing on the set because like 20 people are staring at you, there is lights and shit everywhere, and you got people telling you to kiss a certain way and to do a certain thing with your face. So what I'm saying is that there is nothing exciting to experience by kissing on the set whether gay or straight.
