Here's the thing, you can't criticize David Carradine, he was so special to so many of us. Maybe this wasn't his best song... and maybe it went on too long...and maybe he shouldn't have been blowing harp - But He was "something wonderful." In Kung Fu he got us through so many challenges and taught us to be peaceful yet strong, without guns, and to see beauty in even the mundane chores, to live IN kindness and only use self-defense when words do not get through. (And let's not forget he was also probably the sexiest man on television ever but who realized that till we were grown up.) . There was something about him, no one else had with the exception of maybe Sean Connery in "Marny" when Sean was young. But David had "It" even when he was just Being. Watch a re-run of Kung Fu the first actual episode after the pilot. I bet when I'm 92 and I watch an episode, I'll feel 17 again... I miss you David, thanks for getting me through my middle school years, giving me the peaceful way to react to a crazy world and its violence. And thank you now, decades later for reminding me i'm still a girl... : /

His brother Kieth can sing well. See "Nashville" with Lily Tomlin. The song is called 'I'm Easy'. To hear Leonard Nimoy sing, just search for the Ballad of Bilbo Baggins. I bought all 3 of Leonard's albums back when they came out. He's not totally bad. For that, try William Shatner, who doesn't sing, but speaks the lyrics! *Rolls eyes*
It appears this is a camera/makeup/sound test for his award-winning role as Woody Guthrie in the movie Bound for Glory. That would by why he kept singing for that long. Let me tell you thing: it's not as easy as it looks to play the harmonica, guitar and sings at the same time. That being said, David picked one of the easiest song to play :-) He just plays chords, nothing more nothing less, with a bit of practising anyone can learn to play this song within' 1 or 2 weeks ... His voice suprised me though ! It's not bad, but a bit weak on the high notes.
Trekkie here. Curiously, Mr. Nimoy was better at reciting than at singing. He could carry a tune, but his great speaking voice became opaque when singing. Mr. Carradine, in his youth, had a good singing voice: great range, good vibrato, clear high notes. Look for the videos of his songs from the 70s. Sadly, his voice got damaged too early; this presentation (and the movie Bound for Glory) starts to show strain in the high notes.

You know what...he plays guitar, sings & plays harp better than Bob Dylan. That's not to say he plays well.... just better than Dylan.
