Great to hear the facts without the BS. I’ve got an hx35 with stage 2 tune. Ready to jump to a bigger pump and stage 3 tune. I’ll be getting the 8mm Myrna. At what point does pinning the cam gear become absolutely necessary? I figure I’ll do it when new pump added.
Hello my friend from Georgia…what do you think about 7,7mm elements?how good is it,and what is max hp with it,currently running this elements but in future planning to upgrade 8mm..thanks a lot🤝👍
If I don't put my own values in to it I would say that it is a decent size that has been developed in a bad manner. They also have to much internal tolerances so they don't perform anywhere as good as they could with a few tweaks. An 8mm will do you better.
@gazika fuel amount wise you can make 600hp but in the real world never ever in a million years. It's a pretty low performing pump. The DM 7.5mm has a better fuel delivery design and a higher fuel output. So it's Mynä 7mm, DPUK 7.7mm, DM 7.5mm, Tomnik 8.5mm, DM 8mm, Mynä 8mm. In that order...
Hello I just found your channel while looking for info on my 87 mercedes with the om603 turbo. I am ready to rebuild my injectors. What brand injector nozzles do you suggest . I thought about buying monarch nozzles But I was told there are nozzles that are better and deliver more fuel. Is this correct. I am also considering changing my turbo and getting my injection pump built. My car runs very well now and has 165 k miles. I live on my retirement and on a budget But I would like To get a little more power from it without shortening the life span of the motor. And still be a good reliable daily driver . What would you do. Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for this video and your time. Robert
Best injectors are standard but set to 150bar. If I where you I would have a 6mm pump built. If you are in USA you can contact Benz Injectors and they can build you a 6mm pump and they also have the best 606 hybrid on the market. I don't know if that fits an 1987 603 though. Ask Benz Injectors about that. This way you will have a good solid 220hp or so. That will transform your car without having to think about reliability.
Hi Fred , I’m From Morocco and I’m A big fan of your content , much appreciated, I have a question I recently installed a 6mm pump in my om602.961 engine at 14 atdc the pump was calibrated for a little more fuel cos I don’t want to Install an intercooler for now , in term of power increase there’s just a decent amount at 2200 rpm and above , do you think I should advance timing a little ? Smoothness is a big deal For me now engine sounds amazing
if I have a standard etc 606 pump running at the moment with a stage 2 tune, then are you saying I could go to 8mm elements in the edc pump and it should drive just as nice but with lower egt and faster spool up and less smoke yes
@FtunePerformance that's good to know so I can always upgrade the edc pump and leave it at stage 2 then always upgrade the ecu to stage 4 knowing my pump will take the extra power thanks. Great videos and info 👌

Hi fred, how important is the pump installation ATDC 8-10 .... WHAT WILL IT BE IF INSTALLED AT 15 ATDC STANDARD? THANK YOU FOR UOUR INSIGHT
It will be better if you turn the pump back as close to 10 as possible.
Bro did you advance timing , and what pump do you have ?

Timing is not the most important. If it sounds good it's good. Look over other parts to gain more power.
@@FtunePerformance thanks 🙏 that’s why I got the one and only om606 turbo hhh I appreciate your feedback

Depends a little on the tune, but Stg2 on these are normally maxed out. Witch means that a low powered tune on 8mm will run way better yes.
