That dumpster is heaven. I'd rent a box truck and take it all. I have the same Black HP Pavilion desktop, but it's dead. Power surge popped the power supply and it won't turn on.
Yeah here in most of Europe we don't trash things like this XD The thing is good tech is hard to come by and items are high priced for most part even old stuff or just gamble how long it will work when you buy I mean it's easy to buy a generic PC etc but my issue is I am hunting for a Pentium 4 gaming PC and not only one. Need it for old programs and old games, so each build would run specific things. So yeah wish I can just come across a dumpster like this and hoard up then sport through when I find the time and build a PC piece by piece IN PEACE. No worries, hagglers, online prices and crap. Oh yeah and postal fees became crazy so I tend to buy locally or very rarely because just the postage fees can accumulate into huge numbers. For example I paid 2 euros for a old broken laptop, need it for parts but the postage fee was around 15 euros. F-k that noise ... I was so pissed off! To me that is too much to pay every time I buy or get something sent from online or a long distance friend ...
Those Optiplexes are pretty good little work horses. I've picked up a few small form factor 7040s and 9020 from my work's Ewaste, and they work great as lilttle MAME cabinet workstations. Man, I've said it numerous times and will probably say it again numerous times, but your finds are amazing.
3:42 Oh my god I'm watching this video literally ON that same model laptop, that's a Latitude E6420, mayyybe E6430. Mine's the E6420 and unfortunately just misses out on Ivy Bridge and USB 3.0, but I have upgraded mine to an i7 Sandy Bridge and it's still very usable
Oh my god you grabbed it. It's not a bad laptop, but financially not really worth upgrading, better off finding an E6430 if you want a laptop that's almost the same but supports Ivy Bridge and USB 3.0 natively. If it has the 1600x900 display though, that's amazing because mine has the 1366x768 panel and it SUCKS.
Why didn't you take the servers! i spotted at least 3. a 2U and 2 1U's, as a PC tech and now a restorer i would be making several trips to this dumpster as fast as i could. One thing i hate to see is good IT tech thats savable thrown in the bin, so wasteful :)
what a great haul!!, you are probably not interested in the network switches and servers but those can get quite expensive depending on the model so i would suggest picking it up or at least looking how much they are selling on ebay
@@mattwallace2201 well if you don't have a trailer then come back with a empty car, could see at least a few hdds and at least a few more desktop pcs in the dumpster. And i mean take the hdds, test, see if there's any data you want to save before wiping em and putting em to use. If they won't run then they can be used for scrap. There's likely several more (maybe consoles too?) under all of those tvs.
The thing is those people don't know anything about these items, they don't know if its a 1$ card or a 50$ card or 100+ no clue. I mean even I who use to work with tech often can't see the difference in some of them. I have some general idea but still ... anyways they cut and collect whatever and don;t waste time thinking over and researching most even cant research what they find but yeah it's a shame what gets cut up like that but still have a point of view what would you do if you collect recycling materials and have no clue what is what. It's not just copper in there, there is also gold, alloy etc too that they salvage.
@@TheMagicDumpster the thing is often items are thrown out in working condition and get damaged in the bin rather then by the user , shame for example it's enough if it rains on and there is a charge / static inside and shorts out components or other items being dropped onto them in the bin and damage it completely

All those tube televisions! and some interesting pieces. I wish I could find more like that myself. Absolutely stellar recovery!
Man , I only get lucky like twice a year at the dump . Good Finds!
Great finds! I've been using an optiplex for years and found it very reliable. The small size is really great too
Oh man that place is like heaven 😇

It's not a dumpster, it's Alladin's cave.
I would fix them all. I hate when people throw tech at garbage.
Ooohhh I do love computers 🤤
Amazing what people throw away what a waste. a lot of nice pc's and that fisher boombox would look nice if it was cleaned up

amazing find ngl. did the 9th gen i7 optiplex end up working?
Yes but the rain corroded the cmos batt. Had to clean it.
Yeah, the rain corroded the cmos battery tho.
@@TheMagicDumpsternice, glad it ended up working in the end ngl. It should be a pretty solid computer!
Yeah ssd baby .......u never complain about the computer being slow with ssd....even if its a 2c 4t i3

The ones there were quite old, if they're new enough, I grab them.

Iv been subscribed for a lil while but i have a question. How do you find these dumpsters
Ive got a 4th gen i5 optiplex as an ornament seriously i never use it
Do you ever take home crt monitors? They're heavy af, but worth it if you can find some 19" or higher trinitrons.
Trinitrons I take
Ive not got a pc ....ive got ssd
WHERE IS IT
can i have some tips on how to find old PCs and monitors like that. i've been hunting for stuff like that for a really long time.
Go out on trash night to start.
go back with the trailer and dig up ALL the computers, and save the HDDS too, no telling what may be on those to recover for fun.
ayo???? what do you mean by that

It actually didn't work sadly. Maybe water damaged.
