The fact that Peter was only 53 here shows how much the drink aged him. Wish he and Dudley lived a lot longer.

Wogan seems keen here to spark some (albeit good-natured) digs between them, and Cook & Moore just take the opportunity to be very kind about each other. And as much as I like them making me laugh, I think it's lovely.

In this interview you can see how much Peter and Dudley cared for each other. Both very kind to each other. These are what true friendships were. Terry tried to belittle Peter but Dudley protected him well.

I always liked Terry Wogan, but I think here he is absolutely eclipsed by Cooke and Moore - and he doesn't much like it! Coke and Moore were NOT old at this point, but Wogan kept harping on this. Cooke and Moore are in a league of their own. - no one even comes close to their spontaneous briliance.

I'm fairly articulate, when I want to be (says Dudley) . . . A disappointing clip, all within the all, but disappointment's chic these days, now RUclips's on the leash and off the rag. Incidentally, anybody know any good IPOs ready to go public? Just had another idea I could sell short. But there's so much wealth in it, Peter's egging of the short one: "Sexual . . ." - It's frankly hysterical to see it squandered. Giggling into the abyss is not it, in fact misses it entirely. Because buried in every giggle there is a death (the other guy) and a resurrection (whoever the other other guy is). Unless one considers movement in any direction movement towards an abyss, like Pascal and Pessoa, in which case I agree that comedy is probably a bad idea.
