      @@benfennell1430 It went really well, one thing youtube lessons taught me is that teachers can usually do their lessons in about half an hour and its pnly becauseof tests that we have so much time in class

    Seems like a bit more work than necessary, especially since you end up undoing some of that work to get the required equation form. Using the point-normal form of equation of a line instead gets you to the solution more directly: subtracting the coordinates of B from A gets you the necessary normal, hence the coefficients of x and y, and after computing their midpoint you just need to subtract its dot product with that normal.

    can you tell me how to work out co-oridantes when given an equation?

  • @pokerockman
    @pokerockman 8 лет назад +1

    Sir, what separates y and y1? I popped the numbers in y instead of y1 and x instead of x1 and i got a similar answer with all the numbers correct but my symbols flipped. I got 10x-12y+29 = 0 instead.

      +pokerockman That's the problem, you put them in the wrong places.

    Hi, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but the gradient I got was -6 / -5 so I don't know where I am going wrong.
    Has someone got an answer to this?
    Thanks!

  • @moesha01felix81

    Why did you do the reciprocal of the gradient... Is it because it is an improper fraction??

    • @shahmirrasool
      @shahmirrasool 8 лет назад

      when you're trying to find the equation of a perpendicular of a line then its gradient is the reciprocal of the first line
