Overcharge just got insane! The purple tears defense stance can nullify the stun from using Overcharge. You can just run leap and energy conversion to draw and recover energy.
I found out about this after I had already nearly finished the video and unfortunately didn't have time to add it in post. It is a ridiculous strategy though and I wouldn't be surprised if it gets patched out.
There's a really broken charge build you can do with the purple tear key page using the guard stance. 3 Overcharge, 3 Leap, and 3 Energy Conversion. Purple Tear is immune to the debuff from overcharge. So you have amazing clash power, amazing page draw, amazing light restore, great against mass attacks of all kinds, and you can become the fastest (2nd/3rd fastest) librarian in the city.
This is completely true! I didn't mention it in the video because I personally find the strategy a bit boring to use, but this is really strong and I don't fault anyone for wanting to use it.
Please please PLEASE make more vids like this! I love watching your stream and playing the game on the side myself, and having your views on deckbuilding organized into great vids like this would help a lot!
This video took 60 hours of work to make, spread across 2 weeks. I do plan on making more, it's just gonna take me some time to balance streaming, work, and editing. Though I do know which strat I wanna cover next, and it isn't Smoke...
@@BladePHF Singleton is a little bit complex to go over, but I will put that one on the backburner for now. The strat I planned on talking about sounds pretty similar though...
I have always enjoyed these guide-type video, this one and the one with the battle symbols are very good, if PM take more pages of the colors, you could be deck building guides from them
I personally really like rewind as a page, and now even more now that it has been buffed. I'd also say that evade dices are quite good in the right circumstances when paired with the right passives, and golden opportunity is great when you have +2 from both defensive passives as well abnormality page buffs or extra endurance from iron wall or combat preparation, potentially giving you a massive charge momentum. This is why I personally run Nemo with both liquefied flesh and your shield + the usual RRR suit. Also, as of now, savage mode is no longer emotion locked.
Good to know about Savage Mode! I was not aware of that change before I uploaded this. The main issue with Evade dice is that they tend to have rolls that are too low to deal with the attacks they're needed for most. The highest Evade roll (that I remember) is on Fiery Waltz, which is a 4-11, and even that can sometimes struggle with both defense boosts.
Yesongest: (Aka, “BongBong attains the speed of light) Strat: Yesod’s Floor, Myo and Red Mist’s “The Strongest” Passive. Get Chained Wrath, and literally every other a no page of you can. BongBong now has (at least) +5 Power on all dice, and can clash with anyone she wants.
Man watching this makes me realize I have a lot to learn about deckbuilding. My playstyle is getting the highest power possible to win the most clashes and in the end I never play to my key page's strengths. Definitely need to change my thought process lol.
A little sad you didn't dive into the possibility of running Charge decks on Key Pages they weren't meant to be on. I remember a while ago I wondered what it would be like to run a Charge build with Emma's Page, since "Ripple" happens to benefit from both of Emma's passives, granting even more power on that attack die. Could be a fun concept!
The big issue with that is that it would boost the Evade die as well, which you don't want. But Yeah, this guide is mostly for hard-charge setups, rather than ones which just run Leap or Ripple as supports.
@@kaskozhuk4158 Well, thanks to you pointing that out, I now found a way to make this build even stupider. Put it on Yesod's Floor, and combine it with "Musical Addiction" (and any blunt Abno Pages you can get). That way the evade is basically guaranteed to fail and you get even more damage on the blunt follow-up. This sounds completely ridiculous, and it honestly is, but I love how you can do dumb stuff like this if you put your mind to it.
For myo's passive attribution, something fun to do is to give her geb's passive that makes the lowest speed die infinite, like that you get a free +5 power to all your rolls on this die :D
I find concentration to be useful for one thing: to combine with a 0-cost charge gain to get 11 charge by scene 2 for the buffs. I also remember Rudolph having a passive that gives him 1 strength and endurance for each time he’s been staggered this act, up to 5 times. (Maxim’s passive giving 200% damage is a bug shared with smoke involving mass attacks getting buffed multiple times, combine them for extra oomph)
Also curious, how long are you building these decks to last? I always build my decks to be able to handle realization length battles, so I have excessive light gen/page draw, but these builds seem to mostly be for a single reception or two? Not sure though.
That is a pretty solid deck, though this video I was mostly only talking about using the key pages from the Charge receptions. I'm sure it works great (since it sounds like it would)! And honestly, this is what I meant when I told people to experiment with charge.
Dude I love videos like these! It really helpful with experimenting with new decks or approaching diffrent fights in a new manner. Keep up the good work!
I hope we can get more guide like this for other mechanics or even some general one that explain how to build generaly. It could be some usefull things to help people that start this game.
the fact rip space spends all the charge at once makes you not wanna use "Triple-R Suit" passive which is one of the best charge passives because you can hoard even more charge ensuring you never run out
I feel like I’m missing something here. Your decks seem powerful but many seem to be lacking card draw or light gain. I understand light gain is largely insignificant unless the battle is dragged onto the max emotion level, but even so shouldn’t you be prepared? For example your Bada deck at 19:55 only has a single instance of light regen in gigigi, and it’s a 1 cost, meaning it’ll be hard to use later on alongside more heavily costed pages when emotion gets high. Additionally, the deck lacks any form of card draw whatsoever save for the block roll on Sturdy Defense, assuming it wins (albeit it almost always does). Your next one at 20:25 has no instances of either light regen or card draw, and I don’t follow how these would last in extended battles. Your Rose and Maxim decks do address these issues however. Nikolai, Rudolph and Myo also seem like they would be consistently low on cards if you never happened to draw Leap, or in Myo’s case Unlock, and even then Unlock is a delayed form of card draw, albeit something you can consistently play each turn. Am I just overthinking it? I can’t see most of these working in extended fights, but I‘ll test em on my own later today. Edit: I see now in regards to the Bada decks that the decks largely don’t need card draw or light regen since they’re 1 spd’s, assuming you don’t give them spd passives, since you’ll always draw 1 card and gain 1 light every round, meaning you’ll always have something to play. I do still however have questions about Nikolai, Myo and Rudolph
agreed. light recovery and drawn can be pretty crucial. However since the change to the patch, it is insanely easy to stagger and kill in just 1 or 2 turns. Making the game very fast. Fast enough to disregard light and pg drawn.
For the most part, these are meant to just be used as a base, rather than being decks you should use outright (though they do all work in that regard). I do say at the end of the vid that none of the decks are perfect and you should try experimenting with them. Also Bada has 2 speed dice... dunno why so many people forget that.
@@kaskozhuk4158 I feel like playing singleton is almost mandatory most of the times due to the lack of card draw options there are, how do you feel about this?

This is a well made Charge deck video, And I agree with a lot of points here.
