Yasin Hasan why are tge other brand not able to duplicate the vibration and rhe feel it produces cmmon dont be a dick try to appreciate what is appreciatable
I have a few questions after watching this, Is it as hard to put it back together? Why doesn't the crown come out? and does the charging bubble come out?
I was wondering if you open it to change the battery, will it still be waterproof? I think it won't be. Why would they stick the screen with adhesive. All waterproof watches used owing and screws . Adhesive is trouble for waterproofing.
the interaction between these two people is some of the awkwardest, funniest shit I've ever seen. I don't give a shit about the watch, watching this is just hilarious
Hi is there anyway I can use the apple watch with a samsung phone? I want to get notifications for phone, text, calendar. I prefer the apple watch to any other smart phones.
Hi, great video! So, my new Apple Watch 42mm series 2 screen cracked the other day and I want to replace it. My question is, should be able to use the watch under water once I replace and assemble the new screen?
Yes, opening any Apple product voids its warranty. Even if you break your product by a drop or so, giving it to a 3rd party ‘fix’ company will void the warranty and sometimes damage the device.
When he says "Series 1", does he actually mean the Series 1 or the original Apple Watch? I don't see a teardown video about the Series 1 here. And there doesn't seem to be a teardown of the Series 1 on the website. Would be interesting, because the Series 1's inside might be closer to the Series 2 than to the original Apple Watch.
If your digital crown is not physically stuck but is scrolling by itself. I found the culprit. Bad solder joint for the digital crown flex connection. Under the battery is where the connection is. This is likely why physically jostling the watch may briefly help. I tried it myself and it helped for about 30 seconds. I initially tried cleaning the digital crown from the inside and outside with a sonicare toothbrush with no success. My digital crown was free spinning so I didn't think that would work anyways. I disassembled mine and the moment I pushed down on the battery, the scrolling stopped. I put it back together and I'm letting the unit cool before I power it back on. I imagine this will have fixed it, we will see for how long. Yep confirmed. Fixed for now. Edit: 3 weeks later: Issue reemerged. Pads under black sticker under battery on the same side as digital crown. You can see it under step 9/13 at ifixit teardown. Resoldered at 600f, currently working.
That taptic thing and speaker takes up a lot of room. There are probably more important things they could have put into a watch than a vibration motor and speaker.
Disculpa, en mi caso, hace unos días, se me salió como una pequeña liga negra por el botón giratorio de mi Apple Watch series 2, eso significa que ya no es sumergible, sáquenme de dudas, por favor
He mentions he has done 100-120 series 1 but the series 1 is a brand new model (with a new processor) that just rolled out, the old apple watches aren't series 1, they've been discontinued.
That taptic engine is huge... i have mine on the lowest setting, but they made it bigger... they should have reduced it and increased the battery. The speaker system is cool though... it would be nice if it was bigger to play better sound. you forgot to mention about the hidden connectors on the series 1 and whether they were on the series 2 -- i noticed holes in the casing, but you didnt say anything :-( btw -- glad you cleaned your nails... some people who do close up videos have really bad nails :-(
Goto 50m and then move ur arms, that added pressure would make it the equivalent of over 100m, hence a flooded watch, besides below 30m you wouldnt be able to read the display because its too small!
the engineering that goes into making a smart watch is staggering
The technology was around for years. It just took a smart person to invent a smart watch and stuff existing technology inside.
...and make it small enough to fit inside.
the technology has been there, but it has gotten so fucking small
you sir, know watches! :)
No prob sir, have a nice day
2:17 they stared into each other's soul.
it is amazing how they fit so much stuff in 1 cubic in
One could love or hate Apple but we must acknowledge that this is a technical masterpiece.
Did you see how thick this thing is?
Maou Kiero I have a Apple Watch, the camera angles make them look thicker than they are. It’s about the same as a normal watch
nope.
yup.
True i hate apple products but from engineering point of view this is a masterpiece as you said
Feels like a date.
2:17 the way she look at him ..................lmfao
Furqan Abbas she’s attracted
Oh god
I bet that apple watch was not the only thing he disassembled that day
Dirrty thinking
No way, I took precalc with this guy!
You didn't remove the one thing that I needed to see: the digital crown. :(
me too
Taptic engine is definitely innovative
its just a vibration motor with fancy apple name.. nothing special
Yasin Hasan why are tge other brand not able to duplicate the vibration and rhe feel it produces cmmon dont be a dick try to appreciate what is appreciatable
You have to try it out, its so good you'll feel like going back in time when you use normal vibration motors from older iphones
Apple products are beautiful both outside and inside.
Inside is just soldered sh-- and outside was always ugly.
The internals look a hell of a lot nicer than the original version did. It is very near and tidy in there
Well, who looks in there? It's probably because they made technology smaller.
I like this guy
What about the Digital Crown? I was hoping to see inside it.
I've never seen something got open with such elegance.. well done
I personally, would've broken up everything
Are you guys going to do a Series 1 teardown?
I'm wondering if the processor is really the only difference with the first AppleWatch.
is it possible that we can have a close look at S2? what's inside the metal cover?
Please do a teardown for the wireless airpods!
ALL THE TINY COMPONENTS ARE SO ADORABLE
I wanted to know how did Apple waterproof the scrolling buttons on the side
I have a few questions after watching this, Is it as hard to put it back together? Why doesn't the crown come out? and does the charging bubble come out?
Did you put it back together into a working watch again?
Veru interesting to see the insides of the new Apple Watch Series 2.... thank you... feeling more excited to get my hands on one 😎
So does the Series 2 have a separate wifi antennae?
nice!...now put it back together!
They should a video of the difference stuff in series 1 and 2
The Taptic Engine is cool but is it really worth taking up 1/3 of the space inside?
I didn't know the Philips head was a multi-tool. Wow!
I am amazed how big that vibration engin is. That´s going to get so much smaler fast. It feels like battery life could be 1/3 - 1/2 better.
Did you guys actually reassemble everything afterwards? I can't imagine that being possible :D
Republic Thunderstreak I thought so. Seeing how many Tech-RUclipsrs buy 10 of them and 5 iPhone 7s in the same month just for a review. Daym...
RUclips pays you $3 per thousand views if you enable ads.
Adsense pays
he ripped the antenna connecter to shreds
amazing little device that packs so much stuff inside!
The antenna connector was damaged right?
does this one has a secret port too?
I was wondering if you open it to change the battery, will it still be waterproof? I think it won't be. Why would they stick the screen with adhesive. All waterproof watches used owing and screws . Adhesive is trouble for waterproofing.
Congrats guys, you fixed it.
I have one and I’ve watched this video because I want to know what makes it so waterproof
Very nice teardown 👍🏻
its crazy how such small parts can so so much cool things. technology is crazy
Nice video, but it's a shame the background music is so loud. At times, it makes it really hard to understand the dialogue.
Nah, I'm using $500 headphones with Volume optimised EQ. I can hear everything clearly. You might need a better speaker/headset.
Listening on an iPhone on low volume, I can still clearly hear the whole speech.
Bragging about your headphones ey
not bragging. Just saying it's retarded some idiot has a trashy speaker/phone.
Republic Thunderstreak lol
the interaction between these two people is some of the awkwardest, funniest shit I've ever seen. I don't give a shit about the watch, watching this is just hilarious
hi are you going to do a Teardown of the LG Urbane 2nd Edition 4G LTE LG W200A ? i would love to see that
Hi is there anyway I can use the apple watch with a samsung phone? I want to get notifications for phone, text, calendar. I prefer the apple watch to any other smart phones.
Hi, great video! So, my new Apple Watch 42mm series 2 screen cracked the other day and I want to replace it. My question is, should be able to use the watch under water once I replace and assemble the new screen?
When does the Tesla Model S teardown comes? Or at least its screen?
Do a video of the different insides of the Apple Watch 1and2 water proofing
Very interesting to see how they pack everything into the AW2.
How to you assemble it back whilst retaining the waterproofing / adhesive?
It appears that the iWatch series 3 LCD/face can fit into the Series2 chasis/battery/forcetouch. Is that the case?
express reviews. .. superb
Why don't they have the water proofing thing in the series 1
No way I would remember where all those cables connect back to! lol Gotta love American Tech!
Did your Apple Pay still work
What's the difference between the series 1and2 heart rate sensors
Is the serial number inside too??
A great video. Also a cool drinking game: Every time Gwendolyn says 'cool', take a shot! Then try to put the watch back together!!
huge respect..
this #teardown was very complicated..
When will you guys have the adhesive tape in stock? Greatly appreciate it
Apple 👌
app but
will it last 15 yrs compared to my g-shock... coz i want one.
😱WOW!!!! It really amazes me! Great job.
soooo the reparability score is???????
Nice job.
Does that void the warranty?
Yes.
Which is why you should only attempt this after your warranty expired
Yes, opening any Apple product voids its warranty. Even if you break your product by a drop or so, giving it to a 3rd party ‘fix’ company will void the warranty and sometimes damage the device.
Yes but even if you don’t have a warranty anymore this will kill the water resistance
He's referring to the original watch, which I guess you could call the Series 0.
Hi, question, do you know if the apple watch series 2 has seals wet? where are they located?
OK now good luck putting it back together :D
Beautiful inside.
wow wow!!! What a technique ....
What about Series 1 teardown?

if you notice the battery correctly the battery is puffed
Has the flat of the taptic engine been torn from the motherboard?
Excuse me. Will the display's touchscreen work without a force touch sensor frame?
Thank you.
Anyone know how to remove the memory chip?
That taptic thing and speaker takes up a lot of room. There are probably more important things they could have put into a watch than a vibration motor and speaker.
"that was fun"
lol .. i know right !!
U,
How many degrees is the heat gun set
Any reason why you guys are talking so quietly through some of the parts of this video?
I can clearly hear everything through my headphones with volume optimised EQ.
Wer das herstellen / zusammenbauen /reperieren muss bekommt von mir respekt
ich hätte da keine gedult für diese kleine schrauben usw...
I think they could make a round one now
Disculpa, en mi caso, hace unos días, se me salió como una pequeña liga negra por el botón giratorio de mi Apple Watch series 2, eso significa que ya no es sumergible, sáquenme de dudas, por favor
I'm fine without taptic engine for bigger battery size.
Congratulations! Your account is now enabled for uploads longer than 15 minutes.
He mentions he has done 100-120 series 1 but the series 1 is a brand new model (with a new processor) that just rolled out, the old apple watches aren't series 1, they've been discontinued.
The Series 1 is the old Apple Watch, but all they did was throw the new processor in. Nothing else changed.
From a supply chain standpoint, the series 1 is a new model and the old ones are discontinued
It's so much tech into such a tiny thing
Really interesting video
Pretty cool video!
how do I reattach the screen?
my question is, how would you ever know if the battery needs serviced? it never tells you
He's so cute
Enzo Foove Ikr
Enzo Veiga You’re so cute
This is one of the most enjoyable videos in this channel, i found it pretty amusing xD
That taptic engine is huge... i have mine on the lowest setting, but they made it bigger... they should have reduced it and increased the battery.

I'd rather have a bigger Taptic Engine. The battery charges so fast. I can get 80% in about an hour. Just buy a power bank and a cable.
Republic Thunderstreak - i have a power bank...but the cables are expensive :-(
Yeah true. The cables are ridiculously overpriced. I bet it costs Apple no more than $5 to make them.
hi at what temperature is the heat gun set to? thx
2:50 The OLED screen resolution is actually 330ppi.
Are you sure? Isn't 330 for the 38mm and 290 for the 42mm?
Nope: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retina_Display
Sorry. I was wrong.
the screen is only like one inch so its still low
0:33 But it's an OLED not an LCD.
Discord Pie it's lcd
iFixit has a team in Japan?
DO NOT DO IT !!
THEY RIPPED THE MICROPHONE CABLE AND SPEAKERS!
IFixit tears it!
That battery doesn't seem good to be used again... with that heat that it took
What temp did you use on the reflow gun?
gurugobindsingh Sea Happy vday
Karl Ramonas @
50m Waterproof. Shut up and take my money!!
That doesn't mean you can do anything more than swim in it lol
Wow Spinning in water! yes thats why they say suitable for swimming - not diving. lol
If it's water proof up to 50 meters you'd think that you could dive with it
Goto 50m and then move ur arms, that added pressure would make it the equivalent of over 100m, hence a flooded watch, besides below 30m you wouldnt be able to read the display because its too small!
you just sound like a hater.
So cool how much they could fit into a smart watch and make it awesome :D
