If the armor was placed on the tank at an angle and not at an average of 90 degrees, it would be broken. It’s shape is actually what makes its armor weak at points. It doesn’t take many degrees to make it impenetrable tho
Why would you do that to yourself, durability and turbo increase the tanks capability massively. The tank plays in this wait for them to shoot you then you shoot them, so using a gun rammer won't do much for you, especially because the gun is pretty meh to begin with.
Ah yes the maus ... I still remember the good old times when you tried to get right next to it in your T-54 as it was the Maus's biggest fear. Good old times
Keep up the great content QB - Your very good at narrating your videos - Good energy, articulate delivery, and calling attention to lots of details within the game. You've never been more polished in your wheelhouse. Thanks for what you do.
I got the Maus about a year ago, and boy! I Love this tank! His potential is perfect for me! Go in , take the shots for your allies, push in , make some pause waiting for friends to come along, angle this lovely Armor, that 70% of ppl don't know how to shoot and win, top 3 tanks for me!
I keep playing my Maus, but the other team constantly is punching it's armor with gold. Cheeks are super soft on this tank. I've tried lots of ways to angle and try to hold corners, but it doesn't seem to help. Even when I try to push through to break stalemates, constant dmg from cheeks, hatch and between the treads. Other X teir players know where to murder this tank with gold rounds.
British heavy grind caused me to quit the game 3 times while I was grinding them. There's no worse feeling in this game than driving a tier 6 heavy at 20km/h and getting penned 3 times in a row by a tier 4 arty
As a F2P player for over than 13 years (from the very start of the game) I would mention, that I have absolutely no problem to play on light and medium tanks without premium consumables and gold shells, more than that: I play almost only these two types of tanks. Probably if someone is about to get 10k damage each and every game it won't work, but it definitely works when playing for fun 😀
I initially was in love with the Tiger and Tiger II, so those were my first Tier 7 and 8 tanks, but I ended up going for the Tiger P from the Tiger as an experiment and I fell in love with the Maus' kids, so the Maus was my first Tier 10, I think the 2 tanks before the Maus are enough room to learn how to play the Maus honestly, as long as you're not exclusively playing them (if you have like another tiers 7-8 to play at the same time it's probably taking you long enough to get to tier 10 for you to learn each tier well enough)
Free 2 Play for me means that you do not spend a single dollar for you account. But you are allowed to use everything that the game provides you with. Therefore premium consumables is ok. You can buy them for credits and farm credits as you like. Maybe consider it
I got my Maus early in my 5 years of playing WOT strictly for blocking missions and struggled with it. My damage scores were abysmal. Recently after not playing it for about 3 years after completing that blocking mission, I decided to play it again. Imagine my surprise when I did 5,699 damage and was high score in the battle. The next several games were also high damage games, except for one on Mines. I guess it really shouldn't have surprised me when WG told me I was in the top 15% of players in my region! At 70 years old I'll take wisdom and treachery over youth and enthusiasm all day!
nice video Mr QB. One point i want to comment on is on "F2P" - or what i understand of it - in a general way, not specific for use on Maus. F2P is about not spending real money on the game, but does not necessarily include not to use premium consumables and the like available for credits you can earn in the game - or if you like with twitch tokens and such. Also F2P does not block you from having a premium tank from bonds to earn this precious silver to spend on consumables. The bonds also might be used for equipment, only bounty equipment is harder to get for you as F2P as a main sources is the upgraded battle pass (on BP-tokens you might have 3 per year, with upgrades pass you can add another 9 to it... so still the credits are needed to upgrade) What i missed in your video, how much you earned or lost in your 3 battles? Avoiding premium consumables saves you 10k of silver (only buy on discount!) a battle unless your automated fire extinguisher (if you use this) isn't going to be needed. So did this saved 10k for chocolate did get you on the earning side of the battles?
I believe what he calls F2P is a way to play that means : being efficient regarding money, earning some and sh*t and being able to progress through the game like this Yes it is not the real meaning of F2P, but it is, what I believe, the F2P wot's player talks about when it comes to this game.
Funny fact, the E100 has better frontal turret armor and when Hull down with it's smaller gun is a much better option. People praise the Maus for its side and rear armor but in reality when those areas start get farmed you've already lost. E100 is a better option even in CW's though yes the Maus can take more dmg while out in the open, that not usually where you want to be anyways.
The Maus with Bond Hardening AND +25% HP bonus in Onslaught is truly an unstoppable force. But unfortunately, it's not the case in a Random tier 10 battle. If there is one guy who is not clueless and willing to spam gold at you, you're not gonna feel good. The E100 with its 128mm DPM gun is straight up a better tank in Random queue. Way more reliable turret, way better hull sides, superior gun, and better mobility for just a few hundreds of HP less.
I found that when I mount the Survival Improvement Suite (which should add +100% internal module durability) and combine it with the Field Mod Lightweight Mounting Points (which adds -30% internal module durability), the effective value is only 40%. This suggests that the -30% modifier is being applied twice. Conversely, if I use the Auxiliary Safety System (which adds +30% internal module durability), the effective value is 160%, indicating that the +30% modifier is applied twice. I have encountered a similar issue with the Heavy Spall Liner. I have already reported this problem twice in previous patches, but there has been no resolution. Could you please test this issue and report it to WG? This bug significantly impacts gameplay.
It's funny how I can make the Maus work so well in Onslaught and less so with randoms. I guess it's because there's no arty in Onslaught, despite it having much more gold rounds being fired and probably because I'm able to make use of Maus' strengths and the teams aren't a bunch of donkeys just guarding their corners and cowering behind covers while I'm doing my job as a Maus.
you can block Ensk on encounter mode by blocking encounter mode - as an artillery player playing encounter battles makes no sense as they're shorter and allow blocked maps back into play.......
1:00 - Why won't you ever run with large Repair, First Aid kits and Fire Extinguishers as people get them for doing their daily missions? You must have loads! It's not going against the ethos of that account.
I want to like the Maus, but the turret just screws me. I try and just get wrecked day and night solely because of that and it's annoying. The gun is also worse in every single aspect to the E 100's stock gun.
someone raised this point before in one of your videos, but if you don't use premium consumables but still use premium rounds, is it really "playsforfree"? imo you should go easy on the rules and on yourself a little bit, not purchasing anything using real money and no bonus codes are more than enough of a f2p experience.
but why should using free available bonus codes and thinks like free twitch drops not be used? The only point of restriction might be in game economics. not spending on better performance is maybe not optimal, not being able to do damage can be a "killer" for economics as credits are based on xp and xp mostly is based on direct damage dealt (bad for arty -someone else spots - and lights - someone else doing the damage). so if, as f2p, you need to be more careful on economics premium ammo has imo the higher priority on spending money - more so as only shot ammo is replaced versus consumable being almost always used up. have some premium ammo and use it wisely is ok - unless you are on a NoGold-challenge
@@edelmann4388 as for using bonus codes, you're right that it is technically free for everyone. but not everyone, especially casuals, can be bothered to go to twitch and afk for like 30 mins just to get a code, some of them are too lazy or straight up don't know about the fact that WG has a website and you can hunt for codes there. it's definitely more "controversial" than not using premium consumables though. that's just a no brainer if you have found a reliable way to grind credits for free
I actually stuck a mobility improvement system on the maus. I mainly wanted to improve it's traverse, gun aiming, get the additional speed to make firing and going back to angling better.
Do any of you actually realize that there's only 2 of them ever made a wooden and an actual working one, but the working one moved so slow and was so heavy, it couldn't be moved. 0:38 One of germany's biggest waste of money and time
If you want to be F2P player, you better be very good. It's easy to be one, if you have skill to have 3-4k dmg battles and not lose money every single game. If you get 5k credits per battle on tier 8 without premium acc and then lose 30k on tier 10, it's not worth playing this game, because you spend 1h to be able to play 1 game on higher tier.
can somebody just explain to my limited brain capacity how free to play to use "gold/special ammo" but not food? I mean now you can buy both of them for credit. And a free to play account be able to get a healthy amount of tier VIII. prem tanks so you can farm credit for it.
Game economics is the key! Credits are calculated by xp and thus by damage dealt (and supported). The use of premium ammo enables you to earn credits by doing damage you can't do with std ammo. Only shoots fired are replaced - so use premium ammo wisely. Premium consumables - food - need replacement for each battle, repairs, medi-kit, extinguisher only when used, but in most battles you need 2 of the 3. Each battle the cost, even if you die first minute without dealing any damage... hard to get some credits back as even on sale a premium consumable is for 10k - the average shot of premium ammo is about 3k to 5k (ok, there are some nasty examples in both directions).
@@edelmann4388 I understand this, but still not an answer to my question. By the way, with food for example not only your DPM goes up, as QB said the aiming time, dispersion, repair, and eveything. I’m headed for the Maus now! I’m really working on my Arney crew so I’m not hindered by that aspect. Currently training crew on the VK 100.01. I’ll soon be onto the Mauschen.
I hate the Maus with all my heart. I got so frustrated with this tank to the point I sold it off. Any tier 9 & 10 can pen my cheeks even at angles. I had to spam every gold round to pen others. I HATE THIS TANK.
Man, I wish I finish my Maus grind back then when I was still playing WoT. I had a wonderful time playing with my VK100.01P. I even dueled and flipped tier 10 heavy tanks in it. Good times. What stopped me was the Mauschen... I still got some good games in it. Like, I still remember this one epic winning game where I was left in a 3 vs 5 scenario (I was in a low HP, and my teammates were an arty and a low HP T30) and I had to do some indirect scout across the map (a.k.a pointing the direction of enemy's fire indicator to my teammates through the chat and map pinging). But most of the time, that big tank got rekt really fast that I even doubted its status as a heavy tank lol. And so, I stopped because I thought I was not strong enough for the Maus
whether toxic or not, I'd like to point out the poor decision making of tanks on the 0-9 line in the second game..... what were they even doing 4 minutes into the game??? playing cards? having a nap?? they drove less than 200m and waited for 4 minutes
I feel like if youre completely F2P like me, its almost impossible to make credits in anything above tier 7. A lot of tier 8 tanks cost too much to repair imo. Free premium time helps a lot and so do the seemingly non-existend credit boosters. I havent had a credit booster since may this year. All i have is like a hundred crew experience boosters. Anyway, i like the new mountain pass more than the old one, but the old one was good too. The only thing i didnt like about the old one was the middle where everyone got spotted at the start of the game. If you were passing there with a heavy, you were bound to get shot at least once.
The game would be fun if they separate the tanks are fighting Tech tree tanks vs tech tree tanks while premium tanks vs premium tanks Tech Tree tanks: 1. Fight tanks equally 2. I miss the old titans IS-3 vs Tiger II like in the old days 3. Stock tanks don't have to fight premium tanks (tier 6 vs BZ-176) 4. Artillery are considered tech tree tanks 5. I want team kill and all chat back Premium tanks they get special treatment: 1. Spam as many gold as they want 2. They don't have to fight tech tree artillery 3. They'll earn more exp, credits and convert exp by 50% 4. Don't have to fight tech tree tanks (If they don't make those changes I'll continue to torture them in my O-HO -_-)
@@Benjamin-ot1ic Which 99% of people are, the other 1% are an XP pinata for anyone that knows what they're doing. It's a bad tank vs anyone that has any idea.
there is no such thing like a super armored tank... even a tier 6 can destroy a BZ176 when "having the idea". The mouse is about having the hit points to last and the armor to make it often hard to shae the HP off. Ultimately - and the video shows it in the end on Ensk - even the mouse can be cut to pieces in seconds. The key - some might say ART - is to avoid this as good as possible.
I'm sorry, but that last match in the video, that was on your team not you. There's only so much a Maus can do for a team that doesn't know to play despite having tier 9 and 10 tanks. It only took 44 seconds for a Obj. 261 and GSOR on your team to shit the bed.
The Maus is the most fun tank in the game to me. When I don't feel that serious about a game, I just rush into very silly places with it, just seeing if I can even get there. For example I love rushing the hill on Mines in the Maus, just imagining the WTF faces on the enemy team when I make it up there is so satisfying, so worth losing half if not most of my HP just to do it, since it takes the heat away from my squishy teammates too.
it's funny how the big "just stick armour everywhere" tank needs more skill than many other heavy tanks to be really effective
i actually doubt this, because as an average player (51%) i have 60% winrate in my maus over 700 battles, the maus is basicly OP for me

Ok sir you sold me cause that was amazing lol
QB making maus video again ? I thought he would never come.near this tank after kajzoo played against him
That second game was a beauty. Those are my favorite situations in WoT and always will be
Ah yes the maus my favorite tank in world of tanks
whether toxic or not, I'd like to point out the poor decision making of tanks on the 0-9 line in the second game..... what were they even doing 4 minutes into the game??? playing cards? having a nap?? they drove less than 200m and waited for 4 minutes
m8 the account where i spent nothing on you say but yet you have a mouse with evry field upgrade
can you pls do a e 100 video pls
i love the MAUS!
Thats one ""big butty" tank!
Your thoughts on what tech tree for new players to play, would be nice for a separate video explicitly aimed at new players.
If there's one tank that feels really f2p to me it's the m46 patton
You dont even need 100% crew or food to do good in it
Im speed
Food is literally free. It costs credits. Stop making excuses, they have given away SO many prem tanks. it's literally free to be a good player
The most F2P in this game is the Uninstall button.
No one is forcing you to play or watch.
F2P is free to PLAY .. how to play when uninstall?
think on this
We need this maus in war thunder
The Maus is in WarThunder. You just don’t see it often and it’s expensive to get if anyone wants to sell it.
It is in WT lmao
@@austinpoli3286its not a market tank, thats the e100,
Maus is only available on gaijins birthday lmao
@@austinpoli3286 oh I have it just wish we have this version of in war thunder
@@cantreallydrive7068 wish the e100 was on the birthday to and I have the maus
The game would be fun if they separate the tanks are fighting
Tech tree tanks vs tech tree tanks while premium tanks vs premium tanks
Tech Tree tanks:
1. Fight tanks equally
2. I miss the old titans IS-3 vs Tiger II like in the old days
3. Stock tanks don't have to fight premium tanks (tier 6 vs BZ-176)
4. Artillery are considered tech tree tanks
5. I want team kill and all chat back
Premium tanks they get special treatment:
1. Spam as many gold as they want
2. They don't have to fight tech tree artillery
3. They'll earn more exp, credits and convert exp by 50%
4. Don't have to fight tech tree tanks
(If they don't make those changes I'll continue to torture them in my O-HO -_-)
Youa re coping, you are torturing yourself with that tank.
@@aleksandarpetrovic5727
I know how to use my O-HO effectively just all I need to do is to "push" any premium tanks to their deaths
@@aleksandarpetrovic5727 oh and be sure you type "Nerf BZ-176" you will see my "redacted" (cause U tube deletes my comment -_-)
why no one use HEAT😂😅
hi!
The Maus is nothing but a XP pinata for other T10 tanks
Only if the one playing the Maus is bad 🤷♂️
@@Benjamin-ot1ic Which 99% of people are, the other 1% are an XP pinata for anyone that knows what they're doing. It's a bad tank vs anyone that has any idea.
there is no such thing like a super armored tank... even a tier 6 can destroy a BZ176 when "having the idea". The mouse is about having the hit points to last and the armor to make it often hard to shae the HP off. Ultimately - and the video shows it in the end on Ensk - even the mouse can be cut to pieces in seconds. The key - some might say ART - is to avoid this as good as possible.
only a person who cannot play maus would say this 🗿
Braindead take
Playing this tank made me quit the game. Just proof of how the game has changed not for the better
because you played it bad mate
I'm sorry, but that last match in the video, that was on your team not you. There's only so much a Maus can do for a team that doesn't know to play despite having tier 9 and 10 tanks. It only took 44 seconds for a Obj. 261 and GSOR on your team to shit the bed.
I just got a 3350 dmg game in my KV-1S against tier VII's in wotb and destroyed 4 tanks and got 5× xp multiplier so i got 11520 xp
Im so happy
The Maus is the most fun tank in the game to me. When I don't feel that serious about a game, I just rush into very silly places with it, just seeing if I can even get there. For example I love rushing the hill on Mines in the Maus, just imagining the WTF faces on the enemy team when I make it up there is so satisfying, so worth losing half if not most of my HP just to do it, since it takes the heat away from my squishy teammates too.
Pls Ken wi play together world of tanks pls pls mi favourite RUclipsr
