In german and italian tanks we tend to lose our engines quite often if we get hit in the lower plate because most of these tanks has the transmission in the front. You can actually notice which tank has what kind of drive by looking at the sprockets. If the front sprockets have teeth on them, then it means that those are the ones driving the tank. Sometimes it's the best strategy to track tanks through these beacuse you'll track them and possibly kill the engine by destroying the transmission.

None of the german tanks are something you need to be scared of. They are well balanced, unlike many other nations that get unbalanced and overpowered vehicles all the time.

The E50M was actually my first Tier X tank back in the day. I loved pretty much every tank in that line, but the Panther and especially the E50 were my highlights.
i hated the stock gun on the E50 and even the best gun isnt that good if compared to Leopard PT As best gun cause that gets the tier 10 gun but the E50 doesnt, E50s gold pen is the same as Leo PTA standard pen :(
@@henry9119 The Leo didn't exist back then ;). Also the armor of the E50 was a lot more capable and reliable compared to the gold spam and the overpowered premium and tech tier tanks it has to face nowadays.

Panther for me was a little meh. I love the strong pen on the long barrel and its mobility, but I prefer the better DPS on the panther II 8,8 over the 7,5. The long 7,5 is a solid gun, I'm not knocking it, I just feel damage wise it is a little lacking compared to a heavier hitting medium tank from almost any other nation. The panther II 100% is everything that the panther lacked in and eliminated it's shortcomings. Fun tanks, just one was a little better imo than the other. E50 is very fun, E50M is better because of the removal of that annoying frontal transmission

Are 15v15 matches, your impact on it is not so significant being an average player (unlike games like League of Legends, for example, which is 5v5).
ANYWAY, if you look at the stats of premium tanks you can see that the WR is considerably higher than regular tanks.

Always loved the 36.01, it was the tier 6 Tiger before the Tiger 131/Jap Tiger premiums came along.

I honestly miss the days when branches in tech trees were more interconnected and complex. It might've been silly, but having three Tier VI mediums with the VK 36.01(H), VK 30.01(H), and VK 30.01(P) gave good variety. It's ironic that they decided to move two of the three to the heavy branch despite all three technically being heavy tank projects, but then WoT has never been very consistent that way. Still, after grinding through Tier V and having to deal with shit like the OG T-28, KV, and SU-85 it was nice to have some potent tanks to play with in the German tree. At least until the original KV-1S showed up, but that thing was just too fun to play as well, so who can complain!
I miss the VK 30.01 H that was a speedy medium, it's one of my wishes WG gives it as a well-deserved reward. Though knowing them, they will nerf it to shreds, shove it to T7, and make it slow, or make it's 8.8 gun act like a potato launcher.
@Taldaris isn't the VK 30.01 H the tier V heavy? I remember it because I hated playing it to get to the VK 36.01 H, which is a very fun heavy in comparison. If I remember, the 30.01 H is slow, poorly armored, but had a very solid choice of guns, with it's top gun being a Tier Vi or VII gun
You are correct, except nowadays, it's a medium.
E 50 has the transmission in the front of the tank whereas it's in the rear of the E 50M. This means the 50M is much harder to set on fire and immobilise compared to the 50.
I absolutely love my E 75, it feels so reliable. Saving up to rebuy my E 50M as it seems to be quite good now.
Transmission fires haven't been a thing is forever.

The E 75 in my opinion is probably pound for pound, tier for tier one of the best tanks in the game that can punch way above its weight class against t10s and it is an absolute monster against 7’s and 8’s especially with the buffed gun and armour model. Damn near impossible to pen from the front with a small front turret plate and thick hull armour you can easily angle up front and thick side armour for side scraping. But most of all that gun buff on its 128 did wonders for the E 75, Maus, and E 100 though I confess I still use the 150 because of its incredible alpha and HEAT pen if you need it. It’s HE is no slouch either even after the rework. You can still floor bang people for 500 or more with HE just shooting under them.

@@mcgee9777 I loved E75, especially when I got the last gun. Did 5.7K pure damage and got 5 kills in one game. E 100 tho, I kinda hate it to be honest. Turret is so weak, and armament is underwhelming.
I think the reason for low WR % compare to other nations, especially Soviets, is because German tanks has box turret. THICC armor but mostly flat, and everybody are firing HEAT these days which are the most effective against flat surfaces... :(
Its not the box turret, notice how physics are different for each nation. German tanks dont bounce even with an angled thick armour where as some tanks can over angle and bounce even gold. They just felt like German nation should suck more than others.
The VK3001 T5 med is also a beast for its tier. Hate to bring it up, but German arty also is nothing to shy away from, especially the T7.
That tank is a beast on paper...i hated it because it is so slow and has bad armor, only the gun is good

I like using hardening, turbo and rotation device on my Maus because I feel like the extra turret rotation speed helps so much when you need to angle the turret quickly.
I feel like travers really isnt important in maus, i put rammer vents and turbo on the maus,

I average like 2k in a tier 10 and with my maus thats more like 3000, compared to other tanks i feel like the maus is OP, but thats just me probably haha
You should make another video on the Maus. It's really awesome to watch you play it.
I would have to say the Hetzer was my favourite, when HE still had some punch. Other than that it would have to be the Ferdinand. Something about that TD that just resonates and I love taking it out.
I started with German heavies as well. The aesthetic is top notch.

i like the e100 15cm wayyyyy more than the maus because it does exactly the same thing but hits harder which benefits huge when trading/bad luck. you had a few situation where you traded but trading 1:1 is not very good. the 15cm trasdes more like 1.5:1
The RU-251 is just a gorgeous tank imo
its my most played tank in blitz. amazing playstyle with the mobility and good HE pen
The E100 line was the first I got into and the only one so far I finished, making it my only tier 10 tank. I loved all of them but my favorite of those clearly is the E 75, with the tiger 2 being a close second. I played a lot in the vk100 as well and it is the Tank I just feel the most confortable with, which shows in my results. I havent bought the Mäusschen yet, despite having it unlocked.
E-75 is great. Didn’t even bother with the 100
I miss the days when the German light tanks were unique. Luchs and Leopard were much more effective with their machine guns, because enemies had much less HP at low tiers. The VK 28.01 had a derp gun, the SP 1 C had a 3-round autoloader and the Ru 251 was simply the best tier 8 scout.

E50 and e50m both have the engines in the rear. Give away is where the exhausts are. German tanks had the transmissions in the front engines at the back
Maus is my first heavy tank and it just rocks, I'm still playing at least 1 game every day with it whenever I bored. And it capable to do so much fun, crazy things for example getting top of the T95 🤣
Playing the panzer IC back in the day was so much fun, you could just run around like a chicken with your head cut off. If I died really early I would still have a lot of fun and every now and then the stars align and it ends up as unintentional seal clubbing
I absolutely loved my E50, I actually used the 88mm more often because of the ludicrous rate of fire but that was before the damage change to 280. I struggle in most games in my E50m since it's guaranteed tier 10. I wish it got at the very least a 10% DPM increase since everything else about the tank is basically the same besides the engine.
The gun on the tier 5 tech tree med vk (h) is absolutely fab! With 221 gold pen.
Quackybabs never fear in your tier 6 heavies against a bz-176 when there is water on the map! You can in fact overpower a bz-176 with rocket boosters in your kv-2 and drown them (when you have a turbo at least)! Proved from experience :)
QB is right about new players starting to Germany Tech Tree just to get the Tiger tank. When I started back in 2012 I choose the German Tech Tree just to get Tiger.
@Walter Yugoslavia honestly i dont know whats the big deal with either tiger or kv. The kv is a very good damage pinata for my O-I exp as its hull armor and even turret armor is garbage, and the tiger is a downgrade from the tiger (P) which is much better overall

My unforgettable memory with the VK 36.01H was playing my friend's account and using the derp gun while he was having smokes and a blast of The Man Who Can't Be Moved in the cafe. Gosh this was 10 years ago.

Its not that good in wot, even when angled the weak spots are still pretty easy to hit. But also from my experience slightly over half the tiger players are stupid and blind who rushed for it due to the legendary status it has and expected it to be op killing machine only to get penned on every side and not even realize when someone is shooting them from their flank, i think tiger players are the most common opponents this has happened with, put 3-5 rounds in them from the side before they even realize that they ain't getting shot from the direction they are shooting to. KV-1 or 1s players are 2nd place from the most unaware from my experience
My favorite German tank in this game has to the the Leopard1. Great gun, great speed. But I acknowledge, that the total lack of armor and the terrible tanks to get there are quite difficult to overcome.
Wow I cannot believe the 36.01H has such a good win rate. I have been playing that tank a lot lately and it is frankly painful. That was my favorite tank in the CBT, and I really liked it for a long time, and even after the 88mm L/56 getting it's penetration raised (to a staggering 145mm from the previous 136mm), and getting a lot more HP from becoming a heavy tank, the game has power crept up on that tank it's unreal. It was a lot stronger 10 years ago when you had to fight t9s in it, you had no access to premium ammo, and it had 1/3 less HP because the power of newer vehicles is just really, really high.

I was so happy when I finally unlocked the JagdE but I'm starting to hate it. Can't line up for shots in time and when I do they bounce or hit the tracks.
That's because wg gives skrubs like QB all the good RNG
Both E50 and E50M have engine on the back, but E50 has transmission on the front, while E50M on the back. Some time ago damaging transmission caused fire, but this was changed (no more fire due to damaged transmission)
35:30 that's what I think while playing type 5 h. Boxy tank with no significant weak point so it's a gold sponge / credit sink.
I finished Heavy Tank 15 for the Obj 260 in the Maus on Prokhorovka. I found a nice light tank for extra spaced armor to cover my lower plate and angled my turret. Unfortunately we didn't win, but I got more than enough blocked to add to my dead tank hit points and the damage I had done.

The 36.01H is the Meta for tier 6 tournaments and tier 6 skirmishes. 1360 HP hardening, improved turbo, rammer. 240 alpha 5.7 sec reload, you are basically a bad tier 8 medium at that point.

So I found this out a while ago and I wanna know how you feel about it QB but on the console version, the tanks like the Japanese heavies as well as the e100 and the maus, they have secondary guns now, imo it's cool that you can now shoot them but honestly don't think they are worth having since they can't hardly pen anything, I figured that would be on PC before console but idk , what's your opinion QB?
Can’t pen? Bruh I literally farm S.Q’s and chieftains etc with them. There’s so much you can pen with the Maus 75M, you can also use it purely to track and bait. You can use the Type 4 or Type Heavy secondaries to keep a Bitch tracked in front of you when you use the main gun to focus else where. The E100’s secondary is a monster too and demolishes shit so fast. Load some HE and an FV4005 is dead in under 10 seconds.

Biggest difference between the E50s is the hull shape. The E50 has the underside of the hull above the tracks angled to the front thus easier exposing the under over match area where the E50M is flat and requires effort to hit. They also buffed the E50M to have more armor now.
Hell yeah Maus is still good, I used to play it on console, even if it didn't really fit my playstyle (I preferred the Chieftain which is in the tech tree) it was always a blast, T9 grind sucked though.

I love German tanks also. Tried all of them in the test servers back in time(From tier VIII and above). But my first tier X tank in the game was the WT E 100. I just unlocked it, bought it and then played couple of games than WG removed it from the game... + I also played the nerfed version of the WT E 100 not the OP version. Still very very sad about that tier X TD. WG should bring it back as reward tank or bring it back as a permament tank, because I would love to have this tank in my garage ONE MORE TIME before I completely quit from this game or the game itself goes down... I know there was the event but I missed it... Which is fine, its my problem but I missed it. I need WT E 100 back into the game. We already got some unbalanced tanks, so no reason why the WT E 100 cant come back to the game as a permanent tank.
E50 vs E50M is the turret position. I don’t think the engine moved front > back, just reconfigured to allow the turret to move a little forward. You can see the engine ventilation on both tanks to the rear.

I think it is cool to see you play while filming. I would imagine though that it is more difficult being that you aren't able to quite concentrate like you would normally.
My first tier x was the type 5 heavy, second was the 60TP and 3rd was the Maus. So far over all I like the Maus for the German heavies.

Started because of Fury, inmediatly fell in love with british tanks, didnt get the E8 untill years later, and then i bought the Fury.
Funnily enough, when I started playing I didn't know much about tanks. I wasn't one of the many new players that went after the Tigers. I just knew that tanks were armored vehicles and my first thought was to look at which tank had the highest armor in the game. That was the T95 with 300mm. So that was my first tier 9, but the T110E3 was not my first tier 10.
By the time I got the T95 I had learned a lot more about tanks. That's when I decided to go after the German heavies. When making that decision I noticed that the Panther unlocks both the Tiger II and the Panther II, but the Tiger did not unlock both. So I made the decision to go after both the E-100 and the E-50M through the Panther, and that was the most painful decision ever. For so long the Panther stayed at the top of my career stats as my favourite tank all because it had the most plays. (Over 500 battles to get both the Tiger II and the Panther II.)
It wouldn't be until the Chieftain gets added to the game that the Conqueror becomes my new most played tank. 600 battles to get the Fv-215b, the S. Conqueror, and the Chieftain.
Id say the best part of the VK is that while it is incredibly strong and like that first battle showed can do very well even bottom tier, its still not completely OP when top tier. Perfect example imo of a well rounded well balanced tank.
The new Japanese TD might have the highest penetration in the game just like in blitz but usually it's a bit different so we'll see.

this tank was always special, i also got a kolobanovs medal in it not once but twice, as a medium tank it was that is, not right now when it is a heavy, they changed the tank for some reason and i dont play it anymore. in fact, i dont play any fav tanks anymore for the last few years

Its not the motor but the transmission, that counts as part of the motor. Weird as it is. The idea behind it was, that it will protect the driver and rest of the crew of any fire as it is a huge chunk of steel.

The VK 36 HT was my first heavy too and I loved how it was just this miniature tiger at tier VI that absolutely throat fucked tier IVs when you met them 😩
In blitz the vk 36.01 is op from armor alone, I’ve seen it take on four tier seven tanks and win.
E50 is front drive driven, the transmission in front of the driver. The E50M has its drive wheels in the rear. Look at the side profile of the M, you'll see every at the rear of the vehicle.
The E50 suffers from the same transmission fires as the Lowe, King Tiger, etc.
German tanks were known for having the transmission in the front of the tanks...you tend to take out the transmission when you hit the front of the tank, since wargaming considers the transmission the engine, engine damage
The other BIG difference between the E 50 and E 50M is the fact that the turret on the tier 10 has 100mm more armor on the turret, whereas the tier 9 only has like 150 if i recall correctly.

You bringing up the vk36 with the proper gun brought back good memories there was a competition years ago in the na servers for everybody to compete to do the most damage I used this tank with this gun I was very depressed I didn't win I had over 6400 base damage always laughed at all the morons who used the 8.8 where this gun had basically twice the fire rate and had more penetration Edit This was when this was still a medium tank
They have made the armor stronger om the Vk36.01 H. Some years ago, it was pure butter.

Is there a way to see very old replays? I still have the replay of my first (and only, ack) Kolobanov medal... Tier 6 Jumbo, I think I was using the derp... but its from about 2016-17 or something like that.

Correction - closed beta only had German and Russian tech tree's - US was added with open beta (or there about)
so ... if you play a battle in say tier 6 where you are in the bottom tier and do well, did you hint that your next battle in that tank would move you to one of the higher tiers?

VK 36 always was a heavy. It's the VK 30.01 that were a med and then a ht
Vk36 my first tier 6 tank, cos u rush to get e100. Back in days it was used in online tournaments cos his gun using ap/apcr. I did not have premium tanks that days and I use it to grind credits. 2k battles till i got pz25 (German tier 5 premium)
One the most fun tanks I’ve recently unlocked, love it! Similar to a leopard, just with some forgiving armour to save your ass!
QB when you said that the E50takes less enging damage, bouth have , the engens at the back. the difgf is the E50 has a drive wheele and transmision at the frount. lilke mosty gearman tanks . and the E 50 has its drive wheeles ant trans at the back. as in most moden tanks

Watch the vk 36 01 in wot blitz, its a monster, it bounces anything even t7 tanks and even the stock gun is good and it has amazing mobility
My memory may be faulty, but back in the day of 3 tier MM, the Vk 36 Konish gun's standard and gold ammo had the same high penetration; but the gold rounds, which really could be bought only with gold and cost 80 gold had higher damage. I think the standard round was only 70 damage???
Tiger II is my favourite, i think its op. Tiger I, Tiger II, E-75, E-50, Leopard1, Leopard proto, vk 30.01 h, vk 100.01 p these are the best germans by the way. E-75 and vk p is a little bit situational for me, if there is an arty with open maps for eg.
Hellcat has the best gold at tier 6...it gets like 247 pen or smth in the 240s on its gold rounds
In my first ever game in my 36.01 H, I got 3 ram kills, and an invader medal. I was so exited about playing my first game... I forgot to load ammunition in the damn thing.
Yea, got VK2801 back with the missing module (105) after Two years.
Gold shells should realistically do less damage than aphe, which would balance their pen values. After all, if your game has numerical HP and damage values, then those damage values should vary between a kinetic penetrator, chemical round or an APHE round - but that's for a game that does not try to make money on ammunition.

I recently learned you can get a Kolobanov's Medal by capping the point. my last teammate died 2secs before I finished capping.
there is also that sneaky medal where you cap out without being detected all game
