+Rutger van den Heuvel YES it was my childhood and it was the game that led me to discover Sonic! ... which eventually changed my life and influenced my decision to pursue art as a career. :)
As you go through the underwater base, two things go through your head. Lilac's version: I have to help Torque! Carol's version: I have to find Lilac! Either way, you have to save your friends.
One of the reasons why I liked it. Getting completely destroyed and forced to really take the gameplay seriously didn't just get me more invested in the gameplay but also in the story, since it helped to convey the feeling that the stakes where getting higher. Despite the abundance of question this game presents in terms of plot I do think one of it's strengths is it's difficulty curve, and how it utilizes that to communicate the threat level in the story. Show don't tell, if you will.
Fernando Carvalho Yes it was inspired as a Sonic fan game. I see. I haven't played Megaman X, but have heard many of their songs either in Smash Bros. and in certain Sonic hacks.
this game is truly amazing at making you question where the end is. as soon as i got to battle glacier i assumed it had to end there due to the enemies but i’m so glad it didn’t.
@@tdark987 I didn't say that because another comment already said it. But it's similar to both (one for the background rythm and intro while the other is for the synth sound and music)
@@possumorb3770 there's a bit of infiltration 2 in there, yes, mainly with the more upbeat and noticable instruments. In terms of vibes and the ambient instruments, I get a bit of ice brain
"Just kiddng!"
AW BUZZ OFF SYNTAX
This song reminds me a lot of Metallic Madness (Past and Present) from Sonic CD.
Same, very much so. There’s at least two melody lines here that are very similar/obviously inspired by that song.
i get the same vibes
One of my favourite songs in this game, along with its Round 2 counterpart and Relic Maze 1 & 2.
I love the entire OST in general too.
Ever played Jazz Jackrabbit 2? 'Cuz it has me thinking of it.

@@Rutgerman95 Jazz wouldn’t be too out of place in Avalice actually
I’m happy they made a remix of this track for Shade Armory in FP2.
Talk about a stage where shit went down at the end!
Sergio Escobar Indeed. Poor Lilac.
This is always what comes to mind when someone mentions a mechanical level

So each character does have their own unique playthrough?
@@GamerSix66 The story changes a bit depending on who you use. Milla being the biggest difference of the bunch
Difficulty spike, the level.

perfect song.PERFECT.
This music oozes of Sega Genesis. I'm getting some serious Sonic Cd vibes.
+Sergio Escobar This song partially reminded me of Metallic Madness Past, especially the beginning sequence.
+Nikash Gill wil it started as a sonic fan game but to me it sound like sigma stage 2
Fernando Carvalho Yes it was inspired as a Sonic fan game. I see. I haven't played Megaman X, but have heard many of their songs either in Smash Bros. and in certain Sonic hacks.
Sounds similar to Tidal Tempest and maybe Collision Chaos.
Metallic Madness at 0:14, right?
This song always makes me think of aquatic base from Sonic 06 and idk why
Love this song, showed it to my cousin, he said it's garbage.
Your cousin has bad taste
I just talked to some officials in the Justice System. They announced you have full clearance to murder your cousin.
Everyone has their own tastes, there are people who like nickel back.
WHAT
Your *former* cousin. Disown his ass
That one robot deceived me to press the switch, which is actually a mine. Stupid robot XD
If Syntax tricked you, how is she stupid?
For trying to mislead.
truearea53 "Just kidding!"
I didn't notice the robot until my second playthrough. I was too busy blazing through the stage listening the this awesome music
@Whotio same here, sort of. Unless theres no danger, dont lose your guard. For theres traps in every corner.
So.. Much.. Sonic CD vibes...

Reminds me of metallic madness but the maina version
Here. Right here is where the kid gloves come off.
Wacky Workbench Present (Us Version) from Sonic CD!!!!!!!
Ironically, this reminds me more of Frost Man's theme from Mega Man 8.
This gave me mad Sonic CD Vibes
Wow! This track sure sounds like it copied Shade Armory’s style!
Gee, that sure is strange :p
I can't imagine what that feels like at the end. It's just TOO painful to watch :(
This OST gives me UT99 vibes.
Easily the best track in the whole game, baring the final Brevon phase.
Sounds a bit like Sonic 2006's Aquatic Base
yes thats why i loved it
And sounds like Sonic CD’s metallic madness. Personally I prefer that comparison; less likely to induce PTSD. :-P
@@tdark987 I didn't say that because another comment already said it. But it's similar to both (one for the background rythm and intro while the other is for the synth sound and music)
This sonds like the fusion of metallic madness and Cornered Theme from Ace attorney .
its definitely the orchestral hit from Metallic Madness Past being used
💎
Até em ter tilha sonora foda esse jogo se parece com Sonic!
Starting at 0:27, I'm definitely hearing Sigma Stage 2 from Mega Man X. It's surprisingly similar if you listen to both of em.
FE2 Community Maps
Egg Rocket 2.0 zone
ngl kinda sounds like something from megaman zero/zx
Infiltration, perhaps?
