I got my NHRA LICENSE somewhere around 2002. I run my pass at MRA In Missouri. I was licensed to run 6.85 I do believe its been many years ago. Only thing was Bob Blackwell out of Division 5 Kansas City Missouri. I'm in a wheelchair so I had to send a video in to Bob to see how fast I can get out. He called me back an said for a man with no legs above the knees i could get out lot faster then most drivers. I still have my card. My fastest run was 7.65@164 60 ft 1.2 seconds. I miss it so much. Love your videos.
Very impressive. I love to see people who over come hardships to excell. Compare them to fully healthy people who sit on their ass looking for sympathy. That last perfectly describes a relative of mine.
I got mine around the same time. I went to Frank Hawley to learn and get my license. A few years ago, I tried getting it renewed. Got my physical and passed with flying colors. Being a disabled Vet, my condition had worsened and I just couldn't demonstrate getting outta the car quick enough. I miss racing so damn much! I'm in the process of returning my race car to the streets. If I go back to the strip, it will be a 'one and done' and get booted off. She won't be near as fast as she once was, but I can't drive a slow car!🤣
Fair play to you Dennis, I like how you let your employees get involved with fun stuff like this and letting Alex even drive Kelsey’s car, not a lot of genuine kind folk around like that mate such a nice gesture to make, Alex is a lucky lad respect 🙏🍻🍻
Great job Kelsey!!!! You are so lucky to have a father and co-workers that are so supportive!!! Your learning the right way and learning from the best! I think you have a great career in the NHRA!!! Congrats!!!
Great job Team Collins. I remember my 1st time going to a NHRA event (Reading, Pa) they had one of those simulators that measured your reaction times I went up against my brother in law and a pulled off a double .500 both times.
I was lucky enough to have an older Brother and his friends who all Raced so I was around it from an early age and at 16 I ran my first pass, I learned a lot by going to the track and watching other people racing and it was all natural to me when I started running my own car, I think it would help her to go to the track and just watch, you have to get to the Point we're it comes natural and you don't have to think about every move before you do it, enjoy the ride.
Back in the 70’s my friend who lived in Sarnia , Ontario across from Port Huron Michigan needed a part for his old Jeep Apache pickup. He says “we’re going to Rinke Jeep , it’s the 5 th largest dealership in the States” so we went there got his part and that was that. I didn’t know then that I would own 4 CJ 7s, and become a huge C J fan. Dennis my hats off to you for donating the Veit Nam Mustang to be auctioned off to benefit Veterans. My late father fought in Korea, you sir are a true example of a caring human being. Good luck to Kelsey on her NHRA career.
Muskegon Michigan. My late brother? I grew up there. 60-70's. Early 80's he EARNED a Wally. Indy summer national Stock eliminations with a chevelle wagon. 283 4 speed. RIP DAVID KIRSCHNER. 😢❤🙏🦅
Dennis, you are the luckiest person I know. My father started working on and restoring Jeeps in 1977. I would die to see the warehouse with the 30 holy grail CJ's. Plus Kelsey is just a badass. I been watching your website since 1996/97. You won the lottery my friend.
What a great day for the Collins family. Glad to see Alex get a chance too. Dennis couldn't ask for a better employee. I don't think Alex could ask for a better boss either!
I used to kinda think that Alex would be a good husband for Kesley one day. Until I found out he just got married. Good for him and wish his marriage the best. I just thought Alex would be a good choice to eventually take over the business with all the knowledge Denmis has pumped into him.
Such good chemistry between them. Two are blood relative, but Alex is just as close as any family could be. And .Dennis, what can you any? Just a totally awesome person to bring all this together.
It's great to see a young driver shown the correct way to do things. What a great car, teacher and driver. Good luck Kelsey in your racing career. The car is brilliant but it still needs a driver and you look like you've got what it takes. Looking forward to the next episode in this series.
The proudest father from texas award goes to Dennis Collins as he recites Daughter Kelsey's official NHRA time slips congratulation to all that participated. And by the way Alex's ability to put the copo into the tens at the drop of the hat..in Michigan no less. must be considered in his next employee evaluation. for laying on the class to an already classy operation
That was outstanding 👏 what a great day for Dennis and his daughter. Congratulations! Keep up the outstanding videos and I will continue to buy my favorite coffee The Holy Grail. Wife says I have to much coffee now that I ordered one of every flavor from Blue Island Coffee. OUTSTANDING!!
Thats sooooooo awesome guys. Well done. Especially taking Alex under your wing for what he does for you and giving him the ultimate experience. Well Done Dennis, Kelsey & Alex.
Dennis you are one proud DAD,your daughter is an amazing young Lady ,just watching this video this morning and thinking electric cars are going to be so boring they will never ever replace the fun of a V8 a electric race meet would sound like a Dyson vacuum cleaner gathering ,As always great entertainment thanks Cheers Kym Adelaide
Congratulations Kelsey ! Looked outstanding out there , awesome video, can't believe the 302 was pulling wheelie s and down in the 9s , great episode Guys,
Awesome video and content. My one regret is that I built a 1967 Ford Fairlane GTA with a 428cj that I built to race in Super Stock back in the early nineties. My son was born requiring some surgery when he was seven months old and i had to sell it. The fellow I sold it to ran a 10.38 at 134 mph at a track in Illinois. Congrats to Kelsey and the entire Collins team and all the great coaching she received. Outstanding!!!
That Sir was great to watch a father and daughter do their thing. Thanks for letting Alex drive the car. This is why I love watching your videos, your real.
Thank you for donating the 1967 Mustang for Veterans. I watch you weekly video. Really enjoy them. I was in Vietnam in 1969 and 1970. So I am 75 years old. Kind regards,
That brought back some great and scary memories of the first time down the drag strip at 12.78 112 MPH in a 1970 Buick GS 455 Stage 1. Way back in 1982/83 I think. Great job Ms. Collins.
Great job Kelsey! I was going for my NHRA license back in the early 80's till life got in the way. One of my biggest regrets . I'm sure Kelsey will get hers and then watch out!
The pros make it look easy, but serious speed is a serious business. Kudos to Chevrolet for building those machines and major kudos for the legends that buy them and use them
Congratulations too everyone involved, everyone. The 1969 302 Camaro is my dream car and it was a real treat watching the 50th anniversary making passes. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for sharing all of this Dennis and team. This is very cool…and love that Alex got a few turns. Kelsey’s genuine happiness for him getting into the 10s was special. Love the COPO guy…he is so knowledgable and fun…. man he is living the best life!
Congratulations to you all, especially Kelsey, you’re doing great 👍! I hope y’all can dial it in because I know that car is a monster and can do high 8’s
Great video I had a 69 Z28 302 4 speed I raced it every weekend if I would have been older I would have appreciated the car alot more but when your 19 and think you know everything you put aluminum rods in the motor with the biggest solid lift cam you can find and I knew when it went to 9400 rpms it would not last long and it didn't I destroyed the block one rod went through the pan and another one broke and tore the cylinder up so bad it could not even be sleeved. I wanted to cry my girl friend was so made at me because she worked almost as hard as me on that car.
This is awesome 😎 Love you guys 😎 Now don't get me wrong in what I am going to say, I wish the COPO Nova's would somehow made a Comeback,,, I am so partial to a Nova that is all ,my brother in the past was a Camaro guy and I Nova's we raced some,,, and it's memorable.
Kelsey was getting better she has to remember at the line of the light she gotta get it floored up before she launches if she could get more seat time an practice she'll get better each time I'd think that car can do low 9's she was definitely getting better, good luck Kelsey I'd like to see you one day in NHRA that be get you could be another Shirley bow Downey!!!
Great Video! Poor Kelsey - not for her the girls dream of horses, Dior bags and manicures - sniff the dragstrip fuel, get your NHRA license and get in the 10's Girl - Love It - Good Luck!
Kelsey, I am so jealous so proud and so happy for you. Thank you for including all of us in your journey with this COPA car.
I got my NHRA LICENSE somewhere around 2002. I run my pass at MRA In Missouri. I was licensed to run 6.85 I do believe its been many years ago. Only thing was Bob Blackwell out of Division 5 Kansas City Missouri.

Judge has the Word my hat is off to you. Most people would let the chair slow them down. Your chair lit a match under your ass and you ran with it.
Very impressive. I love to see people who over come hardships to excell. Compare them to fully healthy people who sit on their ass looking for sympathy. That last perfectly describes a relative of mine.

This is why I like the Collins family. 🇬🇧🏆🇺🇸
Great job Kelsey!!!! You are so lucky to have a father and co-workers that are so supportive!!! Your learning the right way and learning from the best! I think you have a great career in the NHRA!!! Congrats!!!
One of the best Coffee Walks. I completely understand Alex's smile. Kelsey almost stepping into the 9's. Crazy fast. Thanks.
Kelsey, so proud to see a woman behind the wheel - you are inspiring a whole generation of glass breakers!!!
That was fun !!! Go girl ! Get u some a that !!!!! 🎅🏻🎄
LOVE IT !!!! OUTSTANDING job Kelsey & Alex for running 10's !! I've lived my entire life within 90 minutes of that dragstrip !!
Great job Team Collins. I remember my 1st time going to a NHRA event (Reading, Pa) they had one of those simulators that measured your reaction times I went up against my brother in law and a pulled off a double .500 both times.
