He's a big 7/7

It's crazy how fast they grow back!
How fast?

Just imagine how light their head must feel after shedding their antlers, Must feel satisfying
God this planet is so beautiful
Which is why we need to protect it
It amazes me how they carry those things so effortlessly....as if they aren't even there.
It's like hair. Elks weigh a massive amount compared to their antlers
Very strong animals
He’s got an impressive set of antlers.
That will keep you safe
Not anymore. Lol

Recently watched a video of a good guy - a hunter at that - bravely and cleverly sawing off the antler of one of two bucks who were tangled up. They were going to die that way if he didn't help them.
He used a long lopping saw and, damn, those deer got out of there fast.
Seems like next time around, creation could put in a breakaway option to solve this design flaw because... what a horrific way to go: starvation, coyotes or morality-free hunters.
Thanks for filming something beautiful that didn't end with one of them being blown away. Props to the camera hunters.
Just look at those antlers.. Even fairly symmetrical.
What an amazingly designed creature.
God / Jesus is awesome ❤ John 3,16 ❤
@@Bob-gn8ph -Sure is!
@@Bob-gn8phhe also made a parasite that grows in babies eyes and makes them blind. How merciful!
It’s not designed that’s billions of years of evolution
@@guitarandrums people who don't know God are so quick to blame and judge God.... this is a fallen world sir and stuff like that just goes with the territory..( in reality we're not even supposed to be here) Luke 21,36 KJV ❤️🙏
I’m telling everybody who lives in America if y’all haven’t took a road trip or visited out west, especially Montana, Wyoming, Washington, etc, pls do so before you die or before you decide to move away.
Must be such a relief on their neck and head after they shed all that weight.
Would you postulate that the 'Sheriff' and other bulls that shed feel a weight relief on their neck muscles? Or sense a 'lightheadedness' if you will? I saw one whitetail bull lose half of his an antler rack while dipping his head grazing and he take off like a bat out of hell...like what the hell just happened. Peaceful and quality video WoV.
They certainly show awkwardness when this happens. When this big guy shed 2 years ago, you could see that he felt funny with his normal threatening gestures..

, but Bulls of this size do continue to dominate even after losing their antlers. Another sign of an intelligent species with memory.
Where did he leave those antlers? I would love to have one!
I imagine it's the same feeling as loosing a tooth and it being sensitive for awhile
Damn the antlers at the start are freaking amazing
Went from deer to a llama!…😂😂🤣🦌🦙
I just.... just nope. I'd hate having those antlers going on atop my head. Wouldn't that itch and hurt??? Just nope. Beautiful animals, poor dear creatures.
Looking like HellBoy
Should have video that you may or may not pick up the sheds.
We are asked to leave them if we come across them here. Thank You Frank!
@@WildlifeOnVideo Yeah each State is different.
We are actually in Alberta's Rockies here. Thanks again Frank!
@@WildlifeOnVideo That good I hope to keep watching your videos.
Thank You very much for your support!
He is super adorable
He went from handsome to not so handsome 😂
Is it legal to harvest the sheds?
Not where we are located. Thank You!
A guy in another thread was saying this happens when the cows/does are in their third trimester and the female will eat the antlers to provide fawns with calcium. He said he was a game Warden and owned a white tail farm for 20 years but idk about that.
I recall a Dad & his Son brought a pair into the Bar my Dad and I were in back in 1975, about Nov 21 I reckon. They were Elk antlers found about 200 ft apart. Looked big to me 😃
This has the same energy as cyst popping videos.
WoW !!! Look at the scenery .
Great video and stunning scenery how lucky you are to have been there
Thank You very much Derrick!
@@WildlifeOnVideo I think it takes expertise to know where to film nature.
So, when the antlers are shed, is that an open wound? Or is there a membrane or something covering those spots?
It is kind of in the middle.. there is a "membrane" that gradually pushes to lift/break the antlers, but there is also a wound that takes a day or so to seal up.
Looking at the scene at 1:21 , I can’t help but wonder if elk or deer or any animal with antlers can get an infection or if the exposed area is painful at all…it kinda reminds me of when I bite my fingernails (which I need to stop doing) and I end up making them bleed, which at times can be painful…
Probably not, no way millions of years of evolution would possibly result with infection in something so natural as shedding their antlers.
Think of it as itchy athlete’s foot, itchy af when you scratch as you shed dead skin, sometimes the itch is so severe that you can actually start bleeding and not even notice due to the itch nature

Evolution is a myth.
Google it. Fascinating process.
Jesus Christ I am in love with that head.
Bless his name!
Feels like a fresh haircut
Do they grow back after they shed them and if so how long does it take?
Yes, they start growing back immediately. They shed their antlers at different times based on the maturity of the Bull. The bigger Elk Bulls will shed in March and grow them back in about 5 months.. Rut Ready in Mid-Late August. Thank You HS!
Does anyone know how their antlers grow in nearly perfect symmetry. Why don’t they end up looking completely different from one another?
im thinking its for the same reason our bodies ,in general, grow nearly symmetrical.
what that reason is though, im not fully sure. theres something to that though...balance.
God's immaculate design
Same way both of your hands look identical just mirrored
@@lil18thletterking77 Well said. This is exactly what I thought to write.
If the animal is injured on one side, that side will grow wonky
found a matching set while hunting elk in new mexico few yrs ago pretty cool
When I'm looking for shed on the trail (on horse) I always look to tree trunks and downfall where they generally rub their antlers off.
Bizarre!
Yes, it sure is. Thanks Mick!
Wow, would love to be the one who finds his sheds 😍...Beautiful Elk!!..& the scenery as well! 😊
He certainly is awesome. Thank You MP!

Amazing
Thank you for your support Tabraiz!
Is this video from last year? They aren’t shed already now are they?
Hi David! The largest Elk Bulls are shedding their antlers now... This is over the last several days. The younger Bulls may take up to a couple more months to drop their antlers. Thank you for your support!
I bet that elk felt good to shed them antlers
Wow such a amazing animal
The exposed area on their head after they shed the antlers makes me cringe so hard
Muito lindo
Thank you very much Maria!
Like loosing a baby tooth
Lovely creatures plus beautiful place
Thank you for watching!
How long do they take to grow back?
This fella will shed his velvet with full growth by the middle of August.
Ungulate antlers can grow up to one inch per day! 😮
Tell when he has them, they look like the most sadistic weapon nature could make
Thats hellboy
In the meantime what weapons do they have to fight with?
Glocks stupid!
If your brother calls you a name, don't render evil for evil. "Whoever calls his brother stupid shall be in danger of the Judgment" (Matthew 5:22).
@@MrCJ-qz9dl it's just a prank bro
They don't really need any after breeding season.
Great animals.
They really are and I don't live where I can see them... Mesmerizing to see.
Poor baby, that doesn’t hurt?
must feel really good no antlers
I wish an elk trusted me enough to let me pull out its antlers. Like pimple popping.
Pas tanduknya lepas lega bgt kayanya rasanya
Now that was a rack
This video is like 4k omg
I bet he gets alot of chicks.

I want em
Let's you know that God is real every living thing has a phase
Hol up, they just loose them things?
Yearly, yes.
