Dodgeball is one of the best Comedy movies ever written. Absolutely everything and everyone is fantastic!!!!!!!!!

They never divorced. They separated but got back together after moving back in together during covid lockdown in order to easier coparent there kids.

After this movie came out me and some friends joined a local dodgeball league for a few years. We weren't very good but some of those other teams were real good
i like how the homies took out the cuss words from the film but when they got to the part where white goodman throws the ball at kate beach's face... then all you hear is... "HEY SHE WAS OUT! YOU FUCKING..." then is cuts off 😅🤣

Great part was when (Ben Stiller) was doing the White Goodman character - Kate (Christine Taylor) is his wife in real life. They separated for a while after the movie but got back together and seemed to have worked it out.

Which I find the scenes between those two hilarious. Christine could not keep a straight face during the outtakes of them.

This movie has the whole Ben Stiller vibe. A classic, indeed. I suggest you give a try to "Zoolander" (only the first one, because the sequel wasn't so lucky). Greetings! :)

You know the reason they call this "A true underdog story" is because the actual ending is when they lost, but it tested so badly they had to add the step over the line and happy ending. Because in real life underdogs don't always win.

It was never meant to be real. The director only made it as a joke since he and Ben Stiller thought it would be super funny. They knew they could never do it but for DVD they just slapped together some scenes and say it was “The True Ending”
One of my favorite scenes is Me'Shell's reaction to White in front of the laptop at 14:36.
One of my absolute favorite Vince Vaughn movies. The whole cast is great but I really love Ben stiller also in this movie usually he plays a down on his luck or sad guy character but in this movie he finally gets to be an asshole and he is surpisingly great at it lmao. I recommend Starsky and Hutch the remake with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson next its a really good/funny movie.

Loved this! You’d love “Forgetting Sarah Marshal” & “Bridesmaids” 2 of my favorite comedies. Oh and “something about marry” if u liked this. It’s a Ben Stiller , Charlize Theron romantic comedy but more comedy like this. Ben Stiller (the Globo gym owner) wrote this movie and directed it, he did something about marry too.
My favorite kind of comedy.......where you can laugh at everything (including the villain)!

The guy who gave the motivational talk about cancer is Lance Armstrong, who also happens to have turned out to be one of the biggest cheats in sporting history.
It was very messed up that all his competitors were also big cheaters
It is kind of crazy that dodge ball was a real thing in American schools when I was a teenager. Nothing less than school-sanctioned violence. Here you have kids who vary wildly in their developing years pitted against each other, actually trying to hit each other with a ball as hard as they can. Sometimes the teams were co-ed as well. There was always some mutant who was over six feet tall in 8th grade that absolutely terrorized his opponents. It did kind of toughen you up, though.

Another comedy that came out around the same time, that's also really funny is Balls of Fury! For maximum enjoyment I would recommend watching the movie it parodies first, Bruce Lee's iconic Enter the Dragon.

Zoolander is an obvious next choice after Dodgeball. My favourite comedy of this type, however, is Old School. Seriously underrated in my opinion, and it's not that poorly rated. :D It's also got Vince Vaughn in it.
Old School was directed by Todd Phillips (Joker) and produced by Stuart Cornfeld, who also produced Dodgeball and David Cronenberg’s remake of The Fly with Mel Brooks, and also was the taxi driver in the beginning of Old School who told Luke Wilson’s character what to do about his seatbelt.
I think growing up true dodgeball was played with one ball and then they had a version called slaughter and at my school they had one called pinball slaughter but the slaughter is played with more than one ball

If you want to see Ben Stiller (White Goodman) in more serious roles, I highly recommend Zero Effect and Permanent Midnight, both released in 1998.

This was a movie that I had no interest in...then I watched it and fell in love with it. So much fun!
Liked the video, another good movie with the guy that plays Le Fluer (Vince Vaughn) is called the Internship with him & Owen Wilson.
That's the most buff Ben Stiller has even been, and his wife has to be pretend to be completely and utterly nauseated by him.
It's like one of the monkey paw wishes where there's a dark, unintended effect with the wish.
Although he always plays these meek, shy dorks, the dude was cut.

Ben Stiller was married to the Kate actress for almost 20 years. They recently split up. She is in a lot of his movies. Also, dodge ball used to be played in most schools growing up. It was a lot of fun but they stopped playing it because kids were feeling bullied during the game.
They split in 2017 but got back together recently.
A great comedy not many people know about because it did not stay in movie theaters very long. It's considered a cult classic.🏆
