Here is my take on the black van kidnapping: the kid didn't speak English, that is why she didn't answer. She was never reported missing because her family was undocumented. Without a child being reported missing the report wouldn't go anywhere. Unfortunately things like that happen and it is heartbreaking.

I don't know man. Maybe it's just because I have a kid but if I thought I saw a kid getting kidnapped i wouldn't just do nothing. That situation in the story is a little odd but feel like most people would either try to say something to them, try to stop them or at least follow them and call the cops.
