Yeah it seemed like the owner didn't exactly need to get home quick sadly. This was filmed using a Samsung S9+ with the UHD setting and auto stabilization turned off, it gets some strange warping with the stabilization on, so this is just the mechanical stabilization that is built into the lens itself. And well of course a steady hand lol
They do sound pretty underwhelming but once the flaps open they have a pretty mean growl. Friends of mine have a Targa 4S with the newer Sports exhaust that sounds pretty nuts with valves open
Yes, the 992 only comes with a turbocharged flat 6 engine, besides the GT3 and the (not yet released) GT3RS. The Carrera S has the 3.0l flat 6 twin-turbocharged engine with 450hp.
I believe those are the Carrera S 20/21inch 10 spoke lightweight wheels specced in satin black. The satin black really suits the exterior color (agate grey metallic I believe) in combination with the black trim in my opinion.
@@kobebryant5135 Friend of mine recently acquired a 992 Targa 4 with Sport Cats and a tune that gets it from the standard 385 to 505hp and it sounds incredible in person
This Carrera S has the standard exhaust the Carrera comes with. You can spec the Sports Exhaust, which is the big round pipes on each side. That is also why this car was so quiet. Most people that buy a Porsche end up getting the Sports Exhaust, which is why you mostly only see the round pipes everywhere.
@@krower11 The sound doesnt entirely translate on the video, standing behind it you can hear a deep rumble, it sounded far louder than it sounds on video. It's a nice exhaust tone for a Grand Tourer such as the 992, which is ment for long and comfortable but sporty drives. Also, atleast there is still any sound, other brand new german cars have been ruined by the new emission laws.
Datoda Yeah? I hope so much that you’re right, because it sounds Bretter nice to be honest, I mean I wouldn’t want anything more from a standard Carrera. But yeah the EU regulations suck.
@@krower11 3 months later now and the new 992 GT3 is being tested at multiple circuits. Porsche dont really do 8-Zylinders in their coupes and they never really have. If you want more Zylinders you may want to check out the competitors though, those being the AMG GTR or BMW M8 Competition.
@@zlounberg6958 Oh you mean I got the description wrong? Why dont you say that... No big deal, I messed that same thing up with the Jaguar F-Type that I uploaded, I got that wrong too. Gonna edit it right now, thanks for informing me!
To be fair it is not only muffled by the turbos but also by multiple kats and an OPF. If it were NA it would sound a lot better already. It didn't sound half bad when accelerating though, atleast irl.
@@JStryker7 I definitely prefer a good in-cabin sound over whatever is going on outside. I'm a bit biased due to two diesel BMWs that sound absolutely blimey inside but still. Definitely wait for the reveal of the new 992 GT3 if you want some crazy noise at low speeds.
@@JStryker7 It definitely won't. Apparently it has a lot less cabin insulation than the 991.2 so you'll be sure to get the best noise even with the windows closed. Reveal of that is going to be sometime soon, probably Q2 this year
Turbocharged Porsche have never been the best sounding cars, for a daily driver I'd say it definitely suffices. Get a Carrera for daily and a GT3 or GT4RS for weekend driving imo
The back of this car is so attractive
I agree!
It better be, because most people see only the back of this car
Looks kinda ugly after you see the Turbo S or GT3

FINALLY SOMEONE GETS ME I always call Porsche sexy🤣
Yeah....I'm definitely going with the Sport Exhaust option
I like the look of the standard tailpipes but the PSE sounds much better. Car looks amazing in Agate Gray. Best color option available.
Agreed!
Seconded
So true :)
There was not really a acceleration. And the stability of camera is amazing

Beautiful machine, you can get a 2019 for about 90-100k
4 is enough for me.
So yes, I will option a sport exhaust then lol
Sport Exhaust is definitely an option I would choose to get the best experience 👍🏻

hello. im currenly specing a turbo and wanted to know what color you have here. is it Agate gray? looks a bit lighter!
thanks and cheers
The color is Achatgrau Metallic, the lighting was a bit weird that day
Yes it's Agate grey.
seems that 1/3 of the price 400z sounds better, stock vs stock.
The Porsche is a Porsche though (and with Sport Cats it sounds pretty damn good)
