1 of 200 Aston Martin V8 Vantage AMR - Walkaround + Loud Cold Start
In this video we have a beautiful and rare Aston Martin V8 Vantage finished in Intense Blue Metallic paint (and perhaps the only one of the 200 in this colour) with the AMR Package, including full carbon exterior pieces and a dog-leg 7-speed manual transmission.
At its heart is the same M177 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 510 PS (375 kW; 503 hp) and 505 lb⋅ft (685 N⋅m) of torque as seen in the Mercedes-AMG GTS.

This is some very exclusive footage of one of the very first customer owned 2021 facelift E63s AMG in possibly the entire world! Featuring the same AMG handcrafted 4.0l twin-turbo V8 (612hp & 850NM) as seen in previous models with the new MOPF that makes this car quite a bit quieter... Or does it? Nope entirely stock, this was the owners city car and daily driver, which is also why he went with the 4 cylinder. For his purposes the 4 cylinder had attractive power, price and fuel consumption combined with the good looks of a Jag
There isn't much aftermarket mods for the 2.0L. You can get 325hp out of a chip tune and exhaust. But that's about it.

This is completely stock so it won't blow you away of course, but with an aftermarket exhaust these sound pretty mean. It will sound like a VW Golf though

I just can’t love these 992s. They sound like sewing machines!
They do sound pretty underwhelming but once the flaps open they have a pretty mean growl. Friends of mine have a Targa 4S with the newer Sports exhaust that sounds pretty nuts with valves open
Lets not beat around the bush here, the 2 litre sounds turd against the V6. It's a beautiful car to look at in all engine variants, but the 2 litre just does not do the car justice.
I totally agree, I've heard both the V6 and the V8 in person and they're just in a different league while this sounds very much like a Golf GTI. But you have to admit that for what these cost used and the power that they have these are very very good daily drivers that have the good looks of the F-Type. I chatted with the owner and he bought it exactly because of that, it's a decently economic, quick and good-looking daily driver for a very reasonable price.
@@Datoda While I appreciate the mind blowing performance manufacturers can pull from a 2 litre these days, performance isn't everything, and a sub 5 second 0 to 60 time in a V6 combined with that incredible exhaust note is more than enough for any petrol head. We're in a day and age where that big engined burble is getting phased out for electric and those new 2.5+ litre engines which are still being manufactured are now so restrained by mufflers, cats and filters that the experience is fast vanishing. That Jaguar V6 is a work of art and belongs in this beauty, anything less is an injustice. The heavily boosted 4 banger can stay in the Golf R, S3 and A45, and while it has its place, it's not in the F Type IMHO. We need to make the most of what we have left in one of the greatest eras of motoring and keep that noise and experience alive for as long as we can, it won't be long before these beautys are resigned to a museum.
@@stoatythesecond888 Certainly, which is why I drive a 3 liter inline-6 BMW. It's a diesel so it's not really putting out that much sound out of the exhaust, but the interior noise is very bass-y and has a very nice tone. You can somewhat hear it in the 435 vs M5 video I have

The engine was pretty cold so what wouldve been actual backfire was just petrol instead sadly, I still put it in the title since the big pops are still technically the same thing that causes backfire, with the only difference that the petrol doesn't get ignited due to too low engine/exhaust temps. Hope you still enjoyed the video despite there not being actual flames!

@@ShiftDrift_Media In case you do get one, the exact setup on this car is the full Milltek Sport Exhaust with HJS ECE downpipes. However Im not sure they actually still sell it but you should be able to find it on their website if they do. It sounds amazing in person, the B58 really comes alive with this setup.

The Porsche is a Porsche though (and with Sport Cats it sounds pretty damn good)

@@kobebryant5135 Friend of mine recently acquired a 992 Targa 4 with Sport Cats and a tune that gets it from the standard 385 to 505hp and it sounds incredible in person
You know, to all the people who picked on the video uploader for description inaccuracies which were corrected. Why ?. Have people really got nothing better to do than pick on video uploaders and comments like was this the only car you could find. Shame on you. You tube uploaders go out of their way to produce content and really shouldn't be abused in this manner. If there is something you notice be nice and not all cocky. Rant over
Thanks for the kind words! I'm not an all-knowing encyclopedia and not familiar with every single car but I'm trying my best. I also don't really get to choose which cars I see but the ones I feel like I can share with people (like this Jaguar despite being the lowest engine trim) I will share. Though I have to say I've had a couple kind comments that were genuinely trying to help.
@@Datoda your very welcome and let's not forgot the nice comments too. I agree 👍. In fact whilst it may be the base model, a lot of people say its the nicest f type to drive because it has approx 50kg less weight up front above the front wheels . Helps with the steering feel.
@@azamchaudhri Another factor was the owner being a very nice guy, he daily drives the car for many years now and he said for the price point and the performance/driving experience you get it's just a no brainer and I have to agree.
Wait... WTF?!? First of all, this is not an "R". Also, not to be rude, but F-Types were not meant to be 4 cylinder cars - NO European "sports" cars were. I'm not trying to be mean, condescending, or anything, but it's just criminal that they did this to an F-Type.

Turbocharged Porsche have never been the best sounding cars, for a daily driver I'd say it definitely suffices. Get a Carrera for daily and a GT3 or GT4RS for weekend driving imo

For a completely stock and legal car it is quite a loud startup and he accelerated as much as was legal in that zone (30kph)

Yes, the 992 only comes with a turbocharged flat 6 engine, besides the GT3 and the (not yet released) GT3RS. The Carrera S has the 3.0l flat 6 twin-turbocharged engine with 450hp.
Find it amazing that so many people comment on the fact it’s a joint venture with BMW in a negative way - how many car manufacturers don’t use other car makers - the Z4 and the Supra look so different ok same engine (BMW) and joint chassis (both) WHOOPEE DO so friggin what ! Stick to the Supra and you get an extra 2 year warranty- happy days !
That's what I'm saying! And from experience with BMWs they not only ride amazing but they are just a pleasure to drive around in because of the sound and everything else. I only see benefits from their corporation and it's a shame not many others do...

Yeah it seemed like the owner didn't exactly need to get home quick sadly. This was filmed using a Samsung S9+ with the UHD setting and auto stabilization turned off, it gets some strange warping with the stabilization on, so this is just the mechanical stabilization that is built into the lens itself. And well of course a steady hand lol

@@armando9293 mine was a factory bespoke special in French racing blue with a lot of options, it has the P300 twin turbo 4 pot engine, to buy one with this spec today( although you’ll never get the colour I have would cost £68K
