Another lovely episode and thank you for taking us along. And congratulations to Thomas winning the frame bag. 👏🏻 I do really appreciate your efforts and presentation, I often watch them with my morning coffee. Great way to start my day best wishes. 🤍😊🌟🚴🏻♀️
Matt, thank you for the effort you put into fiming your videos. I know you haveca partner to edit which he (sorry forgot his name) does an AMAZING JOB!!@🎉💪🍺🥂🏆😃 Editing. Your a dynamic duo. Continue sharing your journey and looking forward to you next big adventure in the USA this summer. Thanks for your content. I know how hard it is to build a channel and you are doing a splendid job. I have a small channel CDN Freight Broker. Cheers from Alberta Canada. One day fund an adventure in Canada. Many to be found in BC or AB.
Hi. Ross does all of the editing. He does a great job. I'm happy to do the fun part of the video process. I will definitely return to Canada for another adventure. I loved what I saw when on the GDMBR and look forward to exploring it more. Cheers 👍
Another great episode - love the history details you include! That causeway looked like a fun ride. I’m with you on the ruins - way too much “crap” - catering to those who like history to be entertaining. Take care
Thanks. I'm glad you liked the details.I try to add as much as I am likely to remember. I definitely prefer the untouched or, more sympathetic restorations. Cheers 👍
Another great video Mat, congratulations Thomas. Had to chuckle, I have the same sentiments, I love Wales but happy I don't live there any longer, its good to be dry every now and again! Bob...
Another cracking video, what’s not to love? Beautiful countryside, architecture, even a castle and a pain aux raisin and barely a person in sight! I was thinking the towers on the causeway would be a bit more grand a little less like telegraph poles though..
You've summed it up perfectly. I wouldn't want to be stuck in one of those towers for too long. There were some slightly grander ones but I didn't film them. Still not somewhere you'd want to get stuck. Cheers 👍
I never knew the land of frogs has such an enormous sand dune. Very cool though. I have to look into the geology of it, because it really makes no immediate natural sense to me why it's there. Oh, and congrats to the winner of the giveaway. Enjoy it 🙂
Juat made a quick search, it MIGHT have something to do with the last glacial maximum, but I need to research it more. In general, ice ages have created more desert landscapes.
Sugar is definitely sweeter than vinegar! Thanks for that Matt. I owe you. (Edit addition--) The West Coast of Michigan from Silver Lake up to Sleeping Bear Dunes looks much like those dunes. If you traverse the U.S.east to west try to get to that area. There is also a Ferry from Ludington that takes you across to Manitowa, WI.. if you make it that way we will definitely trail magic you with a barbeque and beer!
I'll definitely aim to see the area you mention. I'm hoping to get out on a lot more rides over the next few years. I'll 100% get in touch if I'm your way. Barbeque and beer.....How could I say no. Cheers 👍
Another great video chap. I've stayed in Falaise several times on the way back from the 24hr Le Mans bike racing. Had the best steak I've ever eaten there, back during the mad cow disease debacle when you couldn't get beef on the bone back home
I'll keep that in mind for next time. I can't believe I didn't have steak once while I was out there. I'd love to watch the 24 hours bike race at Le Mans. I went to the 24 hours at Spa a long time ago. 'Too Tall Tel' was racing.
Blimey. El Tel, there's a blast from the past! I've done both Spa and Le Mans a couple times. Also, and bang on point, the TT. There's some mad buggers out there
There’s a Ninkasi Brewery here in Eugene, Oregon…nah couldn’t be the same…or could it? They definitely do a Pale Ale. Thanks for the sights, always nice to see my Kona out in the world.
Maybe. It was a good beer. That's all I know. I'll be in Oregon later in the year. I'll keep an eye out. I love that bike. You'll see a lot more of it when I'm out on the TransAm. It's nice to see that Kona have been bought by the original owners.
Another great video. Laughed out loud about the tangerine. Learning so much history about everywhere you go. I think you should come to Australia and tour around here. 😃
Hi Mat. I concur about leaving ruins to be just that. I also understand the need for education, so maybe they could have a hi-tech mock-up in a nearby building or a porta cabin around the back 🤔 I'm not stuck in the dark ages btw, I'm all for hi-tech and the joy it brings. I remember the excitement my Etch-A-Sketch brought me in those pioneering days of technology. I also agree that the right amount of people is the minimal amount necessary. So that's me, whoever I'm with and one random local that can answer my questions about nearby castles that are in an original condition. I only need three people in my life at any one time, it would appear. Thanks for the enjoyable video Mat 🙂👍
The Porta cabin idea is genius. I wonder if you can still buy Etch-a-sketches. My memory tells me I loved mine but I think I've forgotten the frustration they caused. Cheers.
@@matryderadventures Yes, frustration indeed, did you ever manage to draw a (round) circle on one? No, thought not! Should have bought a Magna Doodle instead 🙁

Mat, enjoying your videos! I think you said you'd be flying to Portland Oregon this summer. I'm a Warm Showers host a short distance from the airport if you are still looking for local resources
Hi. Thanks for the offer. I'd really appreciate your details. I have a ride from the airport to Astoria but could look to visit when I'm on the route. Cheers 👍👍👍
@@matryderadventures ah good to know. Think I’m going to order one soon. I’ve asked alpkit a few questions but find they don’t answer me very clearly or quickly, did they sell you the bike with everything minus the bars and forks? Know you had the whiskey fork installed. Wondering if it’s possible to buy the bike minus those bits and bobs.
I had them fit the forks. I bought them from somewhere else and had them shipped to Alpkit. I worked everything out with them by telephone and they were really helpful. Maybe that's not the case anymore. Maybe it would be better for you to call them, if you haven't already.
Hi Mat, another great video, thanks! Appreciate your advice on gopro 11, I'll be getting one to document rider's gdmbr at my home dot watching racers this year. You're absolutely right. I could have spent the whole two months cycling in France. It really is a cycling paradise. Thanks for watching 👍
Well done. We enjoyed the history. Also “just the right amount of people, next to none” I’ll be borrowing that 😊
Glad you liked it. I sound a bit unsociable don't I. Cheers 👍
