I am not referring to Zharnel but if an athlete is born and lives elsewhere and only travels to the UK for the Olympic or World trials, then I think that the plastic Brit label is justified. If they want to be regarded as British they have to commit to more than the World/ Olympic trails and the London Diamond League. I lived in a foreign country and to be treated as more than a tourist, I bought into their society, committed myself and tried to learn their language. Also trying to bracket Zharnel into the Plastic Brit category would be ridiculous because he also dated a British girl.

Most modern day ‘British’ people (guess you mean Caucasians) aren’t originally from the British isles
